I got the Mango-Colada Sour, and this was delightful. It seems like Butchertown Brewing really excels at sours, fruit beers and fun concoctions. So if you're not afraid to "fruit the beer," this is a good place to check out. They also have seltzers, hard sodas and more typical beer offerings. And while it is small, you can still easily find food. It's right across the Mellwood Art Center courtyard from Danny Mac's Pizza (my all-time favorite Louisville pizza spot!). And you can order via Danny Mac's website and choose to get it delivered to Butchertown Brewing. You don't even have to leave your chair to get delicious pizza! Butchertown Brewing also hosts fun events, like the aforementioned trivia. Actually it was trivia bingo -- so the more fun, easier-to-play version of triva, which I actually won a prize in! Parlour moved to Lynn Family Stadium and after our not so great experiences, that's perfectly ok. The taproom has been opened for about a month or 2 now. They are coming along slowly but surely. They will have a Venezuelan restaurant going in next door. The few times my friend and I have been back we have encountered Brody, bartender/taproom manager. He has been awesome every visit and is really passionate about this place. We can't wait to see what he does next. We hope more gaming machines and Silent Disco, we loved when they had Silent Disco years back.
