We had a wonderful anniversary dinner here! Loved our seating at the window to people watch while chatting. Impeccable service! Our server was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and specials. Good drinks and the food was delicious! Paloma Rossa for my cocktail- good. Arancini and Thai corn chowder for apps- great! Roasted salmon and seafood scampi for main - fantastic! Highly recommend if you're looking for a more upscale meal.

I have heard nothing but great things about this restaurant and they definitely did not disappoint! Every part of the service experience was perfect. I came with a friend of mine and she LOVES oysters so of course she had to try them. I don't normally eat them but one of the waitresses that brought them to the table explained the different kinds and which one I might like so I did try the one she recommended and it was pretty good. We got a dozen oysters with 4 of each kind (Salty Mainers, East Beach Blondes, and Montauk Pearls). They came with 3 different sauces. I can't remember the name of the vinegar based one but it made the oyster I tried taste way better than expected! My friend and I also both ordered the Strawberry Rhubarb Mojito and it was very refreshing. We started with the Marinated Olives that were a great start to the meal. For our entrees we got the New York Strip and the Ribeye which were both cooked to perfection. We also got all 3 sauces ( Bordelaise, Au Poivre, and Chimichurri) with the steaks and they each had their own unique flavor that paired great. I added the Black Tiger Shrimp and they were cooked well and added another level of flavor to the dish. For our sides we got garlic mashed potatoes and broccolini and they were delicious. Some how we saved room for dessert and they had the cutest dessert display of the options in mini jars. Our waiter brought the display to our table and we got to pick which one from the display right there at the table. I got the tiramisu and my friend got the cheesecake. I was happy for the smaller sizes because they were so good I could've eaten 2 or 3 of them. This restaurant has made its way to my list of top 3 places to eat in Ithaca. 10/10 recommend!

This is hands down one of the best restaurants in ithaca. This is perfect for a nice date night, special occasion like birthdays or anniversaries, maybe a nice date night with a friend! If you do decide to choose this place please be warned it is popular: make a reservation. They will turn you away (respectfully) if you do not have a reservation and they're booked. They do not do wait lists as the cant guarantee they'll be able to seat your party. Also make sure you bring a heavy wallet! The food is to die for, worth it, a 5/5, spectacular, so it is appropriately priced. They serve fresh, high grade food! The service is always great. They're very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. And if they dont know they are wonderful to find out quickly but its rare for the server to not be aware of the menu and options. It is a fancier place on the inside, they do offer outdoor seating. As well as an upstairs area to sit. The cool part, they have an oyster bar attached to the restaurant if you so choose to instead just go over to that side and enjoy the seafood! Everything is incredibly delicious and you'll enjoy every bit!

Great atmosphere - energetic, bright and lively decorations, kinda old school (befitting a place that I am guessing is named after Simeon DeWitt). Given price point, food was OK. They were also out of several of the beers (out of 3) and appetizers (out of 1) we ordered. And service, while really well-intentioned, was spotty in execution.

The food was amazing! The service was great and the atmosphere was perfect. I think this was the best Chilean Sea Bass I've ever had. I enjoyed the local Riesling too. Made such a great weekend even better. I will be back next time I'm in Ithaca.

We sat in an inside booth but it was very sunny and there were no shades on the window so our friend had to wear his sunglasses at the table. Huckleberry is a more-tart relative of the blueberry, and is notoriously difficult to farm. There was so much fruit here that we couldn't really say it was the dominant flavor. Quite nice. Nice red hue, too. Wait ... "Berry Man"-ilow? Not sure of the intended implications. It seems to get sweeter as it warms up. I still don't get the name. Wachusett Blueberry Ale was a less-tart and more malty brew. This to us was more beer that fruit-punch. So one of liked the first, and the other liked this. There were maybe a dozen more drafts to choose from. The bar was pleasant, bright, and relaxing.

The menu itself is short and focused, while the interior of the restaurant features wallpaper with anthropomorphic animals, and large windows. I opted for the Burger, and my wife the Salmon. We also ordered the grilled dates and collard greens. I also decided on a Ginger Beer. They serve Goslings (since 1806), with all 47 grams of sugar, over ice and a lime. Highly recommended on the ginger beer flavor scale. The Burger came with a massive amount of their duck-fat fried fries, certainly more potato than burger. I also liked the burger with the added bacon. But my wife's Salmon was even tastier. It featured a nice hunk of fish, skin-on, crispy, and not some half-or-quarter fillet that other places might serve. Plus, it comes over a bed of green peas and canneli beans and green asparagus sauce on the bottom, and a small bed of frisée on top. The combination with the lemon cream leads to very satisfying bites. The grilled dates wrapped in bacon, with goat cheese, Marcona almonds, and honey were presented as a drumstick. The collard greens were nice, though on the saltier side. Seating here can be had inside or out. The bathrooms are located in the hallway next to the restaurant.

A glass of Pét-Nat from Osmote made for a great start; I'm a huge fan of this winery. Service was decent, and the food came out impressively fast. This time (Jul 2026) was like our visit a couple of years ago. The menu was rather short, and we didnt see many middle-of-the-road or ordinary comfort-food offerings. Their local sourdough bread appetizer was fresh and nicely flavored, and we chose the fresh olive oil side just because it's so luscious. We could have had chive-butter. The marinated olives were flavorful and a little spicy. Their NY-cheese board had a tasty selection of soft and hard cheeses. The salads had choices of a chutney-paneer based mix, which was refreshingly creative. And we liked the Farmstand berry-cherry goat-cheese almond salad. These were all appealing. Chickpea salad or stew, tofu or salmon over steamed veggies, or smoked-trout open-face tartine sandwich, each sounded good, but we didnt bite. None of the mains called to us. I guess we just felt that none of those menu items screamed out we-gotta-come-to-this-restaurant. The food tasted like just homemade and fresh, but not exceptional. The food was ok, no complaints, but not a big thrill.
