It's such a rare pleasure to find a place you can fully trust to do excellent work at a fair, even low, price and not have to worry about being taken advantage of. As a bonus, they're very friendly and pleasant to engage with. The first time I went here, a cleaners closer to my home had quoted me $40 to replace a zipper. I went on Yelp and found Simi Valley Cleaners. The owner fiddled with my zipper, then showed me it hadn't been broken at all and now worked properly. He refused to accept any money. So, I've taken what alteration jobs I have to him since. They've been few and piddly, nothing to make them much money, but they've always done a superlative job. The last one was when I was picking up some pants that they'd taken in (perfectly, as it turned out). I brought along a new pair of pants I hadn't been able to buy in petit length, so they needed to be shortened about 2 inches. While I was trying on my newly altered pants, they shortened the pair I'd brought in -- for only $10. I think the tailor may be the owner's father. If so, he raised him right. I dropped off a dress to have fitted due to it being very loose and large on me. I came in on a Thursday, and explained I had needed it hemmed by latest Saturday night since I needed it for Sunday. The very next day on Friday it was ready to be picked up. Wow what fast service! When I came in to pick it up I figured I'd just try it on at home. Once I got home, it didn't fit right so I immediately called the store. So I was told to drop it off Saturday morning and it would be taken care of by the end of the day. I dropped it off and wow they were right on it! Chris reassured me that it would he done in no time and not to worry. Later that day it was ready and fit perfectly. I needed an alteration for my wedding dress fast! My wedding day was a week away and the dress I had specially made to my exact measurements was off in a few places. So, I called and spoke to Chris and he told me to come right away. I walked in and they were able to alter it right then and there! It took less then an hour. I really didn't expect to have it done so quickly! I expected at the very least to leave my dress with them a few days, if they could do it at all; with only a week until my wedding. But I walked in and basic got instant alteration services! They even steamed my dress after and put it in a dress bag! So impressed! It was super cheap too! They were friendly and professional the whole time. I never felt uncomfortable even though the alteration I needed was in my boob area. I highly recommend them! The only thing I can mention that was less then perfect was their changing room. It has two swinging doors that meet in the middle like saloon batwing doors. So the doors have a tiny open area where they meet in the middle. Since they are swinging doors, they don't lock. So shy girls beware! Lol I would have preferred a latching bathroom stall kind of door or a real whole door with a locking knob. But that's really nitpicking at this point! I didn't mind it because I am not shy and they were totally professional the whole time! I never felt uncomfortable. I will definitely be going back in the future! read more

They could not handle a simple alteration, had to take item back for redo...the owner pretends to be nice but wait till they mess up....that smile becomes a frown...I now go to the lady across the street ( in Carl's Jr center ) very sweet and accommodating..And alterations are fast and accurate. read more

I had a business meeting in Simi Valley early afternoon so I went to grab a bite to eat but being the goofy person I am I spilled ketchup on my white dress shirt and I didn't have anything else to put on. So my options were go to a store and buy another shirt or go to this wonderful family owned cleaners, I took my chance here since I was passing by. I walked in and the person behind the desk greeted me with a smile and I showed him my shirt and said I have a meeting in an hour is there anyway this can get cleaned asap so I can go to the meeting with a clean shirt at least. He let me barrow a white t-shirt they had while taking my shirt and got it cleaned for me. I waited about 45 min. I paid a little extra for it cause I told him if he can do it I'll take care of him. So I got my shirt back clean with no stain. It's nIce to know that family owned businesses like this one can still go above and beyond for customers and do it with a smile on there face and a positive attitude. I dont live around here but if you do I would come here to have my clothes cleaned, pressed etc...... On a Thursday, brought a dress that was needed for a wedding for the upcoming Sunday, dress was to be picked up by Saturday at 5PM. The person picking up the dress completely forgot about it until long after close and cleaners did not re-open until Monday. We sent messages thru Facebook, Yelp and their website. By 8PM, owners called back and met us there at 8:30PM on a Saturday evening to pick up the dress needed for the next morning. Adamantly declining an additional convenience fee for assisting us, he only asked that we give a good review.
