My COMPLAINT is with the TRAIN COMPANY (GRAND CENTRAL) that is at the Simi Town Center. I had a horrible experience with the Manager/Owner Jessica Seymour. I purchased a certificate on Simi Deals for $6 that gave me a stamp card for 4 rides. I only have a 16 month baby and whenever you ride on the train the sign says "Children 2 & under ride free with a paid adult" I used one on Friday and they stamped it 1 time. Then my friend and I went to the train today and she has a 13 month old. I handed the card and they told me that we needed to pay for our babies to go on the train even though their sign says that children under 2 ride with a paid adult. They said that the punch card doesn't work with "Specials" but their regular sign does not say anything about it being a special to have your child under 2 accompany you on the train. There is no way we are going to allow a 13 month and a 16 month to ride by themselves. No where on the certificate or on the punch card did it say that children under 2 are going to be charged as an adult. The only sign there states that they are free with a paid adult which we were doing! Since I have to pay for my child who is UNDER 2 to ride the ride and for myself since she is too little to ride by herself then it's not a deal. I'm actually losing money since I will have an odd number of stamps left and I would have pay $3 to use my last stamp. I do NOT want to ride the train again and am so disappointed how Jessica's customer service was. They have lost me and my friend as a customer and all that arguing over $1.50 when there is NO ONE even at the mall or riding the train. I have seen the train ride around empty. That mall is dead and the train customer service is not helping at all. read more

This is such a cute outdoor mall, but holy smokes this place needs some life. I've been there on a Sunday afternoon showing one of my friends around to convince him to move out here, needless to say it didn't work. My friend described this place as a zombie apocalypse. There were maybe a handful of people walking around and that was it. What a shame.. this place has so much potential. It makes me wonder how most of the stores stay in business. There are not much stores out there that I like to shop at so I just drive to Thousand Oaks to shop at The Oaks instead. read more

This mall is just so sad now. I was just there and was saddened to see Charlotte Russe and Aeropostale is now gone. The playground area, if you want to call it that, is dangerous as it now has a sinkhole in the middle. This mall needs to be put out of it's misery. read more

First time I come here. And I'm not impressed. Most stores are shut down. And the fact that's it's all outdoors is what I liked least. Then again it was 100 degrees out today... it's dead. Will probably not visit again anytime soon. read more

There is a mall in Simi Valley? I don't see one.....at night dark and since Apple closed not any reason to shop there. Very strange place indeed. Went just walk the other night. Horrible really loud music and the smells coming from stores like Victoria secret and bath and body works were so strong that I was getting a headache from ten feet away outside the door. Cheap perfume smells with who knows what chemicals in them. Not good. And the music! Really???? Turn it off or at least down. No wonder this place is dead. The landlords show read theses comments. I have been dealing with the general manager Jeff DiJulias for close to a year. His attitude and customer relations with me to bring my business to the mall were weak at best. I spent a lot of money plus my time to bring my equipment to the mall and because of his false information I could not get my items placed there. He was arrogant and not concerned with the trouble he has caused my business. I would advise extreme caution bringing your business to the Simi Valley Town Center. I am kind of happy to report that Macy's will not shutter its stores at this location! What a nice victory for the poor workers. Macy's is going to consolidate the store into one instead of the current two which is a good thing as I would have hated to see this community take another economic blow. read more

It's so depressing. You can tell when a mall is going downhill when it has 17 karate and dance studios. There is construction with hopes of a better experience later on in the year. We'll see! read more

A group of us were eating @ CPK and in an attempt to keep the payment of the check hassle-free I went to look for an ATM. First went to directory to find closest one.... NOT THERE. Went back to directory to find second closest one.... NOT THERE. Finally went to Guest Services and they said all ATMs were taken out but can go to a nearby bank. UPDATE YOUR DIRECTORY!!!! I visited the mall on May 1st, 2019 and tried two sets of the "Public Restrooms" and they were all locked. After speaking to the rude general manager to tell him about it, I have decided NEVER to shop at that ghost town again. read more

I just had to say this mall does not deserve all the negative reviews. I don't usually comment, but this seemed unfair. It's a nice place to walk around, has some good stores and restaurants, and is always working on special events. I don't see what there is to complain about. If you want a million stores, go to the valley. I'd much prefer walking here than dealing with that traffic. There are plenty of stores for most things. They might not have a triple jeweled gold plated t-shirt made by obscure who the heck cares, but you can find everything a normal person needs. read more

We moved into the Big Sky neighborhood just to be close to the Simi Town Center but sadly Simi Valley residents have not supported the mall as well as they should have. I'm not sure why either because many Simi Valley residents make enough money to support a nice mall. At one time there were some very high-end shops there, but now there are only a handful left. For the most part the mall consists of dance studios and other non-retail businesses that really shouldn't be part of a beautifully, functioning neighborhood mall. The restaurants that go in up there are the main things that keep this mall open as well as the Studio Movie Grill which is been a huge success here in Simi Valley. Hopefully with all the people coming to eat and watch movies in Simi, this will help the Simi Town Center grow again and become what it once was! read more

This is really sad because the mall itself looks beautiful, there's just barely any stores left in it. As of today, the only chain stores I saw were Macy's, Claire's, bath and body works, tilly's, Victoria's Secret, urban home, journeys, vans, Apple, hallmark, angl, red robin, CPK, corner bakery, and Buffalo Wild Wings. They were beginning some demolition of stores near the middle of the mall so hopefully it can be brought back to life. read more

It's so sad to see a business place with a lot of potential fail. I remember when it was built and I thought it was really going to prosper, but unfortunately many businesses here fail. It's like a ghost town and if wasn't for the restaurants such as Soup Plantation, CPK and others this place would fall to pieces. read more

They never should have built this. Close enough to TO, Northridge or Topanga. Bug when it was decided to build they needed to bring in stores commensurate with Simi Valley economic level. Bring in Gap, Old Navy, Penneys, etc. Not Coach. Now it is filled with dance studios, boxing gym, museum,etc. Sad that the hillside was ruined for this. read more

Beautiful Outdoor Mall. Like it as it is not too busy. Do need more good selection of stores. Apple is best and food places are really good. nobody home. There is hardly anyone visitign mall. Have lot more activities here to attact crowd. read more

Start high end low.this is simi valley. Not Beverly hills wanna be town. The anchor stores should not be a Macy's. Again, this is simi valley. Yes they are going to be busy when they opened. Now the same few hundred people are not going to go buy something at a higher priced store every day. Simi Valley is an Old Navy type priced place. This is why Fridays does great, and we don't have high priced restaurants all over here. Wake up a little management. Make the rent cheaper to keep businesses in so they can keep the prices lower for the merchandise. Duh. read more

It's a nice large outdoor mall but slow. I've been here on several occasions & on different days but the outcome is the same. Decent kiddie area, Koi pond, out door fire place & seating areas. We've come for several years and we love it here. Although this is a tiny mall with only a few shops compared to the big ones in the Valley, you have to remember that Simi has never had a mall so this is waaay better than nothing. The small size makes it easy to navigate, fun to walk and more accessible. The community events, giant christmas tree/snow fest, outdoor fireplaces and koi pond are a welcome addition. Leave it to Simi Valley to redefine the traditional mall to be more than just crass commercialism. Plus you have the Limon Latin Grill with its live entertainment here, a true multi-venue nightclub that Simi Valley has desperately needed for 20 years. I lived here for 4 years... it was dead without that nightclub. read more

I got a $25 gift card for Ulta for my bridal shower, bought a curling wand iron and it was terrible. No problem went to return it, the listed price was just what I paid for it, and they wanted to give me $5.80? We all know that it has never been sold at that price. I don't shop there, (now for sure!) so without a receipt or being a rewards member you really are screwed!!!! I gave one star because the store was clean and BIG. I AM VERY DISSATISFIED! read more

This is a nice walking mall.....outdoors, not too large, and my favorite part (not too crowded). Flanked at both ends by Macy's, it's got a lot of different eateries......my favorite being Go Fish Sushi, and it's just very tranquil. Some of the shops are unique in the sense that you don't see them in EVERY mall.....like Eddie Bauer......yeh, that store is in some places.....but not EVERY mall, so that makes it a little more of a unique place. Although I don't have young children, they definitely have things for the children......a nice little play area in the center, not to mention a "choo-choo train" that rides through the center corridor, and it blows its train whistle for those walking to get out of the way !! Something about the decor of this outdoor mall that reminds me of Italy, but for the life of me, I don't know what or why. I like it, though. Not fun in the extreme summer temps, but lovely to walk on balmy nights. Lots of parking, but I have to say, when you enter from First Street, I always always ALWAYS turn one street to soon, and I can't get into the mall parking that way........those of you who have done this KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT !!! Just make sure that you travel far enough down the road so that you can enter to park AT the mall. :) read more

The worst thing they could have done is made it an outdoor mall in windy Simi Valley. I've lived in Simi since it opened and it's dieing a slow death. If it was indoor, they would at least window shoppers and maybe real shoppers. read more

By far the worse Macy's I have ever gone to. I went to return an item and there was literally no one in the women's dept. It was like the Twilight Zone. After 1/2 an hour I find someone, she is working the floor and trying to help people at the register. You know how that goes. I was totally frustrated and asked to speak to the Manager, and was told it was her day off. Now tell me this, why would they NOT have an assistant Manager? I have written to Macys about this fiasco and hopefully some "cages" will get rattled. As for me, I won't be going back, Thousand Oaks here I come. read more

I love how every store and food joint is accessible from the outside. I didn't quite go through the entire town center to see all that it has to offer, but it looks HUGE when you take a look around. There are numerous benches scattered between stores to sit at while your waiting for your loved one to spend all their hard earned money, as well as lights strung across the trees for a more romantic atmosphere. I will definitely be back here for a date night, dinner and shopping! Parking was plentiful, well at least on a Sunday night it was. The only downfall is that the Macy's men and women are split into two different stores on opposite sides of the town center. read more

First time at a Buffalo Wild Wings. Gigantic place. Lots of great tvs. Inside very loud. Patio much quieter. Average food. A little above average price. Only so much you can do to wings, burgers and pulled pork. Slow service. I think our waiter had to walk the length of a football field to get us anything. Fun place for a group. read more

The movie theatre is awesome... That is the only saving grace. The mall is too hot in the summer (which tends to be 8 months out of the year). Who on earth thought opening a bunch of private gyms, multiple dance studios, and karate studios ... Was a good idea?? This coupled with the fact 60% of the spaces are vacant, is ridiculous for a mall. Seriously a waste of retail space and no incentive for people to go shopping at the Simi Town Center. The Macy's in Simi is awful. The buyer for this location needs to check out other Macy's and see examples of what good merchandise looks like. The few good women's clothing stores closed down. Gymboree is the only good kids store left (actually does have a better selection than T.O.) The train ride is cute for the kids but it's expensive and the fact they charge for adults who have to accompany their kid... Almost robbery! Last thing I'll point out... Whoever designed the lights in the ground at the shopping center needs to have their head examined. They are full of slime and mold and algae and God knows what. Basically they weren't water tight and the moisture coupled with heat and being under the glass..... They look like nasty Petri dishes that belong in a science lab. read more

Man, I remember when this place was popping off. Then the pretty, newly renovated Oaks Mall just killed it dead. Retailers and restaurants moved in and out (no more Panda, Qdoba, American Eagle, Forever 21, etc.). Now, it seems to becoming more of a discount clothing/outlet mall which actually works out for me. I got great deals on jeans from the A&F outlet, tops from Riverland, shorts from Impression, and shoes from Weiman. Can't hate on good deals 10 minutes away from my house! read more

I have been coming to this mall since before it opened (helped open the Macys). I have always loved coming to this mall. Seems as though shops come and go there and the good shops seemed to be replaced with lesser known stores that offer discounted items. I was really bummed when they took The Body Shop out and Forever 21. I wouldn't count on this mall to help you achieve all of your holiday shopping either. read more

This biggest mistake made at this outdoor mall, was not starting with movie theater. I give it 4 Stars because I think it has great potential. A nice new (BIG) movie theater will completely change this mall. Turn it into a date night venue for all ages. They need to get it done before Christmas. When they get it right, they will have pricing power to fill it up with the best retailers. Use the Irvine Spectrum as a model. read more

One of the most empty malls I have seen. No major stores and no food court, it almost looks like a scene from the walking dead

I had family here and stayed in town for a few months. I LOVED this mall! The best store of course, is Francesca's Collections!

I love the little train they have riding around for the kids to play in, it is very charming, especially during the holidays. The comic book store is also cool. Other than that, a little mediocre. I like the outdoor aspect of it. Wish it had more cheap food vendors, operating from carts and booths, like at the fair. It never really had many stores that appealed to me, but I'm not much of a mall-guy. Now it does seem to be a little light on stores in general. As malls go though, it does what it is supposed to, which is house a variety of retail outlets in a centralized location. read more
