After my son had a cleaning I got a hefty bill in the mail saying his cleaning was not covered and it was my responsibility to know that. I have never been to a dental office who did not ensure that the service I was receiving (or my child) was covered. No one told me prior to the services as a courtesy and blamed me for not knowing clearly not verifying my insurance as I kNOW they are supposed to ahead of time. I called again as my son was having pain and informed them I still had the same insurance as last year AND a new Delta dental but I never received a card and asked if they could look it up as my personal dentist (adult dental) has done this for me to verify and simply got a "NO" you need to provide this information we will not look it up. I also had a balance that was previously in collections which I paid and was told they don't see it was paid so my child can not have his cracked tooth looked at. I spent a total of 1 minute tops using the information they texted me and was able to confirm I in fact had paid this balance so I highlighted and texted the number they provided showing I did unsure why they could not see what I found in 1 minute. I received NO response from them. I am so disappointed as I love the clinical staff and the doctor but the front desk staff is horribly rude and clearly not doing their job properly. ** The new office that got him in right away informed me they can absolutely look up our Delta Dental information with the subscribers information as can any dental office. **

I have had everything from cleanings to fillings to crowns done by Dr. Norfolk and have never had a complaint. He is a perfectionist and that is evident in every piece of work he completes. Prices are a bit higher than I have seen advertised by some of the dental "groups" out there but that can be expected from a private practice and the level of care here is most definitely worth it. Dental care is expensive in general so I feel I might as well get the best. Even when I was without dental insurance several years ago, and had to pay out of pocket, I kept him as my dentist; he's THAT good. P.S. - On a side note, his office is absolutely gorgeous inside!!

The X-ray found it in his stomach, where it still is. He has been to the ER twice and is terrified of surgery. The staff was apologetic and removed the device after it broke off. But before that, they called to ask if my son could come in at 10:45 instead of first thing, since he didn't have an appointment. I keep thinking about that and how it made us all feel. I know accidents happen and there was no guarantee it wouldn't break. We did assume that would never happen, though. I strongly recommend bringing your kiddo to a place that takes an emergency like this as seriously as we do.

The staff was very kind, they made me feel listened to, and when they found cavities I was glad I could go back the next day to fix it. The day I got my cavities done was a whole different story. When I went in that day, I made two things VERY clear: I was anxious, and I would need more numbing than the average person. Every other place I have gotten cavities filled at has listened and given me extra doses of numbing agent if I needed it, even stopping treatment to add more. I got the gel and one shot, and by the time they started working I couldn't feel my teeth but I was less numb than I thought I should have been. My cavity was far back, so it was going to hurt my jaw regardless. They put something for me to bite in my mouth after they sprayed water in the back of my throat and I flinched. As the procedure went on, my jaw began to hurt a LOT, right around where all the work was being done. I told them it hurt, and they kept going. I tried to power through, and thought I was doing okay, but as the pain increased my anxiety got worse. My whole body was shaking on the table and tears started coming out of my eyes. I even wiped them away! They just kept working, and didn't stop until I raised my hand. I then cried for a few minutes and had to calm down a lot. After that they asked me if I was okay throughout the rest of the process, but how could they have not realized I was in distress? By the end of the procedure I could feel what they were doing to my teeth, they did NOT use enough numbing agent. The cherry on the cake was when at the end, after I had cried and been obviously upset, the dentist told me I should get Invisalign or braces because my jaw is misaligned. NOT THE TIME!! I thought I was okay, but the second I walked out of that waiting room I broke down and sobbed. I didn't stop crying for at least half an hour after, I felt so confused and hurt. I had told them I was anxious and I would need extra numbing, and I felt ignored. I have never cried during a filling before. It was the worst experience I have had in a dentist office, and I will not be returning.

I went there because I had an open mouth bite that occurred from a previous procedure from another…read moredentist. My first sign should have been that Dr. Matute said that can't happen, which if you look it up, it can. But, I gave him the benefit of doubt because he had great reviews. I expressed to him how important my teeth are to me, actually teared up, and I need them fixed and my previous dentists just kept me coming in for different things to bill and not addressing the open mouth. My teeth, other than the open mouth, were in good shape, loved going to the dentist and went faithfully every 6 months.( I know, weird). He apologized for what others had done to me and said he could fix my teeth with Invisalign. I was so happy. I started in December 2024. By April 2025, at an appt., I complained about the spacing that was happening that I never had. He assured me that by December it would be better. Every 6 wks I went back and complained as well as several texts in between, he again said by December it will be fine " I promise, have faith". In September, we actually got into an argument about the spacing, as I said it is getting worse. I started recording my visits as every complaint, the only thing they said was "Are you using your chewy's?" Like I am a child paying $10,000 and not listening to the dentist. When December came and it was time to end the Invisalign, he said see you next week to get your night guards. I said what about these composite resin on my teeth. He said he would take them off next week. Next visit, he spent approximately 4 minutes and said looks good to me how about you. Well if you have been in a dentist chair you know you can't always feel things right away, and he made me feel like I was a bother to him and he couldn't wait to leave the room. My teeth are now worse than they have ever been IN MY LIFE. I still have resin on every tooth, which feels like my teeth are filthy, space between some teeth that is a venue for cavities and can you tell which picture is from December 2024 and which is December 2025 that cost me $10,000. Next 2 visits he couldn't be bothered to come in to see me. I know you can't tell by the pics, but my teeth are ruined.
