I have been here SEVERAL times and loved the doctor and clinical staff they were amazing with my son. The front desk staff however is very rude, will not help you with anything. After my son had a cleaning I got a hefty bill in the mail saying his cleaning was not covered and it was my responsibility to know that. I have never been to a dental office who did not ensure that the service I was receiving (or my child) was covered. No one told me prior to the services as a courtesy and blamed me for not knowing clearly not verifying my insurance as I kNOW they are supposed to ahead of time. I called again as my son was having pain and informed them I still had the same insurance as last year AND a new Delta dental but I never received a card and asked if they could look it up as my personal dentist (adult dental) has done this for me to verify and simply got a "NO" you need to provide this information we will not look it up. I also had a balance that was previously in collections which I paid and was told they don't see it was paid so my child can not have his cracked tooth looked at. I spent a total of 1 minute tops using the information they texted me and was able to confirm I in fact had paid this balance so I highlighted and texted the number they provided showing I did unsure why they could not see what I found in 1 minute. I received NO response from them. I am so disappointed as I love the clinical staff and the doctor but the front desk staff is horribly rude and clearly not doing their job properly. ** The new office that got him in right away informed me they can absolutely look up our Delta Dental information with the subscribers information as can any dental office. ** read more

Have gone to the Milford office for last few cleanings for my teen kids. Kind of surprised that every time we go there are different people working at front desk. We had an appt for yesterday, they called day before to confirm insurance and told us all set. I took time off work mid day yesterday, pulled kids out of school and get there and she tells me that the cleanings "SHOULD" be covered. What is "SHOULD"? Then she proceeds to give me a quote for $400 for one kid and $300 for the 2nd. So if they do the cleanings and xrays and submit to insurance and they deny it per her "SHOULD" I would need to pay $700 for cleanings? It was quite ridiculous...they have no clue, are unprofessional, unorganized...my kids and I left, they asked if we could find a "real" dentist office as even they thought this place was sketchy and probably why they can't keep any staff. Beware...don't get scammed into getting work done and then possibly be charged $700 for a cleaning? Who rely's on SHOULD for estimates... not me! read more

A little over a year ago I accidentally scheduled an appointment for both of my girls at this office (45 minutes away from home!) I'm so glad we did! We love, love, love the entire team! They always make sure to thoroughly explain everything, in a way that we can understand and will spend as much time as I need answering my questions. My four year old is never an easy patient and usually has to be held down for a cleaning and exam. The team is always so encouraging to us all through this, as well as patient and sweet and calm with her. We met Elana today for the first time and she was amazing with her! She was so patient and knew exactly what to do and say to put her at ease. My daughter smiled the whole time and told me after "the dentist is so fun and not scary anymore!" My husband and I were shocked that she did so well! While we never intended to travel 45 minutes for a dentist appointment we are so glad to have ended up at this office. Be careful if they say that something is going to be covered by insurance (even after they go and double-check). At my daughter's last appointment they requested an additional xray, left the room and came back saying they checked and it would be paid for 100%. I was surprised that my insurance was allowing this but thankful and agreed to the additional xray. I got a bill for $82 for the xray a couple months later. I called the billing office and the person I talked to kept saying I was getting a $100 discount on the service, which would normally be $182. Not sure why she thought that would be acceptable? Too bad because the people in the office are generally very friendly, but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Brought my son 1 1/2 hours out of our way for an appointment, and on a Saturday. We show up, and the appointment isn't honored. The receptionist wasn't helpful, and they promised that someone would give me a call the following Monday and that also never happened. To top that off, the doctor kept asking if the treatment that she recommended, if we wanted it, and both my son and I said, "Yes." Moments later we are ushered out of the exam area and are told to make an appointment. I said, "We are at an appointment, no?" They tried to explain the difference between an exam and treatment, but it made no sense. Also, not once during the booking did they state that the exam would be done, and treatment later. My son was in severe pain, and the only other choice was to take him to the Boston Children's Hospital emergency room for pediatric dentistry. read more

I'm usually not one to post reviews about businesses/restaurants, especially not negative ones, but after my experience with the Pediatric Dental Group of Milford, I absolutely feel that I have to. On 11/5, I bring my three daughters in for routine cleaning. When checking in with the receptionist she tells me that their insurance is showing inactive, so unless going to be paying for visit Out of Pocket they're not going to be seen. I was confused as to why it was showing insurance inactive, they had all just went for another doctor's appointment few days prior and everything went thru the insurance fine. Also when I had booked the appointments nothing was mentioned after I had given the receptionist the new Tufts ID #'s. I still had insurance cards in hand, and just wanted to have her verify that they match the ID #'s in the system. She definitely wanted no part of verifying and just kept saying very insurance is inactive. At this point it's very obvious she is getting angry and annoyed with me and went into the back and came back with whom I'm guessing was her manager. Manager had taken a look at the account and told me SAME thing, that insurance is still saying it's inactive. To which I told her "Yes, I have already been made aware of that, and I was trying to verify the insurance ID #'s are correct ones." Before I could even finish my sentence asking for them to verify the ID #'s the manager is now informing me that there is also close to a $2K balance on the account and it had to be paid in full before they'd be seen. Her tone at this point had completely changed and she was now being extremely rude and doing immature eye rolls (which my daughters were very quick to notice, cause it's one of their favorite things to do ). I'm speechless and confused... "Ummm WHAT?!" Honestly, how is it that I'm just being told about the unpaid account balance now, when it's supposedly from January 2017? Never once had I received any bills or statements from PDG, and how come when I called and made the appointments it wasn't mentioned then. I'd think that would have shown up especially since it needs to be paid in full before they can be seen. I ask for copy of the bill so can contact insurance company and figure out why it wasn't paid. Now I still have all 3 cards in my hand, and now I'm not asking, I'm insisting she checks the ID #'s. When she does she finds out that they have the wrong ID #'s in the system for all 3 girls. She updates system to the correct ones and hands me the bill (which I'm assuming will now be paid since they have correct ID #'s), and when I look at the total it's only $883.03. I asked if there is another bill, cause her manager a few minutes prior said the balance was around $2k. She looked and kept saying that it is showing a balance of $1750.00 on her screen, but there is not any other bills besides the one she already gave me. Somethings not right and it's just not adding up. She goes back again to get her manager but this time when she comes back she is alone and tells me that they are going to look into it and will send me the correct bill. What do you mean send me the correct bill?!? Thought there's only that one bill?!? Sounds to me like they are going to concoct some story as to why they had to add things onto the bill till it came as close as possible to the $1750. I'm eagerly waiting for this "NEW" bill to be sent to me, and I'll absolutely update this review with anything new. In meantime will be bringing my girl's elsewhere for their dental needs. It's sad cause we've been patients of PDG for close to 10 years and my daughters loved it there and always had great experiences with the hygienists. Hopefully this hasn't happened to anyone else, and with making this review it won't happened to anyone else. read more

They now have a worst office staff. Really worst. I think all of them were new. And all they care about is $$s. Without insurance I was paying out of pocket for ever apt. for my son. They had offered me discount as this was out of pocket. And later, they backed out saying we never had such policy. Even the Dentist who my son used to see, left the practice and guess what they didn't even bother to update us. And we saw someone new. Office staff, including their manager were horrible. The only reason i used to go as the Dentist was really nice and now she has left too, no reason to visit this place!! Good Luck without the your business. read more

I bring my 4 girls to the Milford office. The dental hygienist (Elana) is awesome. She's very friendly and professional. My girls are not a big fan of going to the dentist but Elana always makes their visit comfortable and stress free. Along with how great she is at her job she also has a great personality. I took my girls to the pediatric dental office in Franklin! We went 3 times prior to this last visit to them when the office manager was so extremely rude! Totally embarrassed me and my kids in front of other patients. After going to the office with no problems had cleanings and X-rays and sealants places on my child's teeth. They as I had taken my kids out of school for their 3rd cleaning the rude office manager told me I had to have proof the kids that I took to the dentist were actually my kids!!! Yes she wanted proof and I asked her does she ask every parent and she rudely said nope and she wouldn't see my girls if I didn't prove that day that my girls belonged to me. They are mixed and I am white and this was so embarrassing to myself and my girls. If I didn't take them out of school that morning I would have walked out. She has no empathy for people and in front of other patrons! Embarrassing wasn't even a understatement I was sick to my stomach and I said I will have my lawyer contact the office and she said "go ahead" this isn't any way to treat people! You have no empathy to people and you need to be fired!!! read more

Everytime we go to the Milford office there is new staff. My sons even joke about it as we have never seen the same people in the years we have been going. Last week we had one of the first appointments in the morning and still one of my children was an hour late in being seen. Staff will come out with a treatment plan and expect you to sign without explaining or showing xrays, as other offices do. A couple years go this office said my son needed a cavity filled and a baby tooth pulled, as my husband had been at the last appointment, I was shocked to hear they want to pull a baby tooth. I insisted on going back with my son and low and behold the tooth they wanted to pull had fallen out. Then the tooth they said he had a cavity also was a baby tooth and fallen out. So they were left with no treatment needed and we prepared to leave and then they said well we can do sealants and insurance will pay. So we agreed and insurance did not pay as they said, we were billed. I should have left years ago and this practice still continues to rush treatment without explanation and I for one will not have my children's teeth drilled into without having full knowledge and understanding. read more

Awful practice! Knowingly performs procedures on children that are NOT needed. People reporting they were told their child had 8 cavities only to go for a second opinion and told they have NONE. Drilling children for "soft" teeth, turns out that isnt a thing. I was told my 4yr old had a cavity, went to have it taken care of thankfully he wasn't cooperating before they were going to give him gas and decided to hold off. Took him to a new place given xrays and low and behold NO cavities, not only that he had never had xrays prior to this so how could anyone know he had a cavity.... you can't. But us parents are trusting our children to these people who claim to be professional but care more about billing our insurance companies for procedures that aren't necessary and gassing and drilling our children. People are leaving left and right. Don't be fooled by the disney sign and the nice people, I was and I am thankful my child wasn't drilled and gas for nothing! read more

I love it here. For years my mom told me horror stories of other pediatric dental groups in the area being pushy/rude. I also had terrible experiences when I was younger always leaving the dentist in tons of pain causing me to hate the dentist for the longest time so it made me nervous about bringing my son anywhere. A friend of mine told me about this place and from the first visit I was amazed they were great with my 4 year old who needed three separate visits for dental work. I was afraid after the first time he wouldn't want to go back but that was never the case, he enjoys going. Everyone is super sweet and the dr definitely has a way with children. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I'm sure the negative reviews on here came from incompetent, impatient and confused parents. read more

I had to make an apt for my twin's first dentist visit. I was really nervous as to how it would go, as they don't really love having their teeth brushed. The hygienists were AMAZING with them. They made my boys feel so comfortable, were very patient with them, and did a great job. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a dentist. I guess it's standard procedure to let the kids teeth rot out of their head so that stainless steel caps can be put on baby teeth because I see so many children with them now that I've been aware of them. Or maybe it's just standard practice at Pediatric Dental Group. I have taken my child to this dental group since she was 2 or 3 every six months for cleanings (she's now 6). She had a cavity a couple years ago and Dr. Gomes filled it. It wasn't easy, but she got it done and my child sat through it and was ok. Then every time I took her, I heard "Oh, we're watching a couple teeth". OK. What does that mean? Then last time I took her (November 2016), Dr. Gomes was gone and now the new dentist is telling me her teeth are horrible, she has multiple cavities and needs to put the stainless steel caps on two molars. She also needs a baby root canal. What? Again, what? How do we go from "watching a couple" to "what a mess"? I don't understand why or how that happened as she has seen them twice a year for at least the last three years. Why did I bother to take her (trying to be proactive) if they were going to wait until it got ridiculously out of control? Really? Now conveniently it can't be done in their office, gotta take her to Framingham and she needs to be knocked out. Really? The new dentist wouldn't even give her a chance to have any work done in their office. Oh, and I have Mass Health for dental... I think that explains it. Whatever they can do to ring up more fees to get paid they will do... it's so obvious. I will never go back there again! What a racket! I didn't even want to give them one star, but it wouldn't let me post the review without it. I had to give them one star because Yelp made me. read more

I hate to do this, but I am extremely angry after my visit to the Pediatric Dental Group in Milford. The exam went fine, the hygienist and dentist were friendly. However, my son didn't have dental insurance which I confirmed at the visit and offered to pay after the exam. I was told I would be billed. Two months later I get a call asking for my son's insurance information to process the claim for the visit and I reiterated that he doesn't have any insurance--I will pay for the visit. I told the woman to send me a bill so that I can send it to our FSA provider for reimbursement and I will send a check upon receipt. Guess what? An invoice was never sent to me then another two months goes by and I get a letter from a collection agency! I have no clue why they never sent a bill even though the billing department claims they did. Absolutely ridiculous! I pay my bills, my credit score is amazing. I'm not sure why I never received a bill... maybe the postal service is stealing my mail???? read more

terrible terrible terrible. do not waste your time. i chose this office for the convenience since we live in milford. came in and after getting text and call confirmations ann confirming them both, they tell me im not even on the schedule!!! i had to sit here for over an hour with 2 young children!! i asked to speak to a manager, they got all flustered and told me a patricia would be out to speak to me...never did i ask again and shes now on the phone and cannot speak to me. im glad that i was in this office for about 2 hours and she couldn't take 2 minutes to come speak to me. i was however asked to do a review for the office about 3 times so they could win some contest?!! they should focus on customer service more. read more
