I had an excellent visit at SimonMed Sunset Rd location today. This was my first time using SimonMed. The staff was very professional and friendly from the time I entered the door until I left... Very helpful, and comforting and they take good care of you... My ultra sound technician was Crystal, she was very understanding and explaining the procedure as it was being done... She is comforting because she knows that us patients are nervous and feeling anxiety over having testing done... MRI PATIENTS BEWARE! I recently went to get a MRI done at this SimonMed Imaging center in Las Vegas and I had a horrible and very dangerous experience. I was told three times by a very young and very arrogant lab tech who did my MRI that I definitely DID NOT need to remove the two metal partial dentures in my mouth for my MRI even though my head would be inside the MRI machine during the MRI. The older and more experienced woman assisting this arrogant kid did not say a word while he insisted to me that I could and should wear my metal dentures in the MRI. Fortunately I did not listen to this idiot lab tech boy doing my MRI and I removed my metal dentures at the last minute before getting in the MRI machine. That decision might have saved my life I found out later. I have no idea how in the world something like this could ever happen, but it did. Fortunately I remembered from a previous MRI that ALL METAL needed to be removed from my mouth and my entire body to avoid DEATH OR SERIOUS BODILY INJURY!! I have since talked to several doctors and personal injury lawyers about this MRI experience and they all agree this was either total and complete incompetence by two SimonMed employees or maybe something much worse like racism!! The problem with wearing metal in a MRI machine is that it can not just screw up the tests and damage the MRI machine, IT CAN ALSO KILL YOU OR CAUSE SERIOUS AND PERMANENT BODILY HARM!!! I was referred to simonmed by my doctor for an abdomen x-ray. Everything went smoothly! Everyone was professional. I was in and out within a few minutes. They also offer MRIs and mammograms. I don't know if this is a new location or if I just never knew they were here. This location is right next to the home suites. They offer free water, which is always a plus in my book. I was referred to SimonMed for my mammogram by the Doctors Center. Scheduling was quick and can be completed online. They had ample slots available within a week. Once the appointment is scheduled, their system automatically sends reminders and provides you their patient portal link for filling in any required details prior to your appointment. The office was easy to find and the receptionist was friendly. For my mammogram, the technician was polite and walked me through all the required steps for exam. They provided lockers to store your items if you prefer and also had a clean robe ready for me. The equipment used for the mammogram looked new and everything went smoothly. Once you're getting serviced, it's great. But what a NIGHTMARE to schedule an appointment! The first girl had a headset that wasn't working correctly and I couldn't hear half of what she was saying. My anger with SimonMed is justified. Even though the alleged manager tried to downplay it. She clearly was NOT listening to the reason why I was upset. Even though my prior experience was poor (I could not call my insurance from inside NOR would they call my insurance), I still booked an annual mammogram. Last year, they had me come in for a follow up. I went in for a follow up and then they wanted me to come again in 6 months. Really? Am I being treated for something or you are just wanting to make money off of my insurance? The answer is, they get upset when they are not making money off of your insurance. I made an appointment last month. They contacted me maybe about three or four times to confirm my appointment and get me checked in. They had PLENTY OF OPPORTUNITY to let me know how enraged they were about me not coming in for yet ANOTHER follow up. Missed that sale, didn't you? I took time off that I cannot get back. I spent an hour waiting in the lobby for them to call my name. The man called my name and in a condescending way he told me that I didn't come for a follow up and they needed an order for that instead. Was my appointment cancelled? Yes, and in a subtle and snobby way. I was being nice up until that point. Once again, I was calling to speak to a supervisor. My time was wasted and this could have been prevented. I was not being verbally abusive. My voice was raised because I was upset that nobody told me anything until I lost PTO and spent gas to get there. This "supervisor" was not as nice as the two ladies that I spoke to who realized that I was angry. She said, " I don't know why you are yelling and I don't know how we can assist you." That made me lose it. I was then angry with her instead of SimonMed. I said a few choice words and hung up on her. I will NEVER come back. I wouldn't even tell my worst enemy to come here. This should be an easy process, but SimonMed makes it terrifying and miserable. Mammograms should be just as easy as any other appointment. read more

They play games and put you on hold for 15 minutes then call you back instantly after you hang up and put you back on hold again to never answer when trying to schedule. Then I scheduled with their 1(800) an appointment at this Southwest location getting my first week day off in months. The girl calls me and tells me one hour prior to my appointment that I have to reschedule due to "high winds." I work in a hospital my wife works in a hospital, it's 10-20 mph wind gust today. These machines don't shut down due to high winds of well over that. They play games and don't want to make money off of a cash based product that is not covered by insurance. They should be looked into for what is really going on at this facility. read more

I went in for a scan and asked prior to setting the appointment if they can compare with a previous scan from Mayo. The person I spoke with checked something on the computer and said "Yes, we can do that". 8 days later I still do not have a current report that was ordered STAT. I won't go into all the phone calls I made trying to get this resolved. but I will tell you that I did not get ANYWHERE with all those calls. What a joke. Stat usually means 1-3 days, and NOW i'm being told it will take another 3 to 5 days. And getting a hold of the right person is a joke. I will never go back. NEVER. read more

Poor communicators, blank expressions, with an air that you are bothering them. Despite that issue, I was seen quickly and the staff in the back were decent. I waited less than 5 minutes to be called back by my ultrasound technician, Laura. She was amazing in every way! My appointment was scheduled for 2:45 and I was out the door by 2:45. My experience appears to not follow others poor Yelp ratings for SimonMed Imaging - Southwest. I suppose before making this appointment, I too had only been use to Stienberg Diagnostic or Southwest Medical for imaging, so I was thinking this must be some third rate imaging facility. I was wrong, it just occupies a smaller share of the market, but the experience was equally as good as prior scans I have had across the valley in the past at other facilities. Easy on the phone to schedule the appointment. Reasonable cash pay option for an MRI. Kelsey in the reception area upon arrival to my appointment was efficient, friendly, easily multi-tasking, yet providing genuine customer care. At 9am on a Monday, the lobby was not busy at all. Was seen on schedule, techs in back were clear and concise with directives and concerns regarding my imaging. There was no sugar coating and they just got to it, so no complaints by me. I was in and out in what I thought was a reasonable amount of time. They were not able to provided a copy of the report and disc of scan to me when I left due to technical problems on their end. But Kelsey was easily reachable via e-mail the next day and I was able to swing and pick up my report. Not a problem in my eyes. read more

I am a physician who ordered a test for a patient in preparation for surgery. Despite specific written instructions, the technician did an incomplete test. I tried to contact Simon Med and spent over two hours on the phone with 5 phone calls- two promises to call back, three 20 minute holds with disconnections. The problem was never resolved and patient's surgery will need to be cancelled. read more

Absolutely dishonest and untrustworthy billing department!!!!! Again....i will warn you of the fraud that goes on with payment here. On 7/25/2022 I had imaging done. I paid at the location and then about a month after was sent notice I had a late bill. I am very responsible when it comes to paying my bills. This was the first late notice that I had received. I called immediately and paid it over the phone as I didn't want anything to go to Bill collections. So my procedure that cost me 400+ ended up costing me 800+ because of the double bill. I battled with their finance department over and over and over and over and over. I was always told they're still reviewing it. At some point, they sent me $100. I assume this was just to try to get me to quit pursuing the full 425 double payment that I had made. So again I called again and again, only to constantly be put off. I faxed and emailed document after document of the payment that I had paid in full and still somebody still had all of this under review. After over a year of calling on this every single week, 2 to 3 times a week I finally gave up. So they literally stole $325 from me with no answer for it. It's such a shame that the billing department is so dirty and dishonest. All of the technicians that I dealt with at this location were always incredible and super friendly. Be careful with this company. If they tell you a quote from your insurance or anything like that make sure you get a good faith quote from them as well in writing. I also would suggest not to pay anything unless you talk to your insurance first. If the billing gets your money , they will not return it if they made a mistake. read more

Save yourself the headache and take your imaging needs elsewhere. This company has an extremely poor ran phone system I've been sent to a blank line or have been hung up on at least 30 times. Their customer service horrible impossible to get someone who can help. They also charge upfront for services and in my experience requiring the incorrect amount. I was charged over $400 for an ultrasound which according the the processed EOB should have been fully covered, now i'm left dealing their incompetent customer service and billing department. Good overall experience. I was referred here by my urologist for a scan. It was easy to get an appt. The office was efficient with a nice waiting room. (It was busy, but the wait was reasonable.) The only good thing about my imaging done was the actual technician. I call to make an appointment and I book for Thursday 9:30am. I cannot do another time because of childcare for my kids. The Tuesday before in the middle of the night my appointment was changed to 9am. They did not call to confirm the change. Then the Wednesday before, i call around 9am to talk to someone and the guy states that the scheduler does that all the time so they can rearrange appointments. So I asked to change my time back to 9:30 and when we hang up I got a confirmation that my appointment was at 9:15. Around 2pm on Wednesday (the day before the test) they call me asking to move my appointment to 8:30. I stated that I am unable to do that because I have kids and that's why I had scheduled my appointment at 9:30am. She starts getting rude and asked twice "are you sure you can't move times". I was attend to by Enoch Parker for a procedure! Really good bedside manner and well spoken. I am thankful for staff with his personal qualities. This visit was one that I had trouble with. I had a personal medical issue that prevented me from continuing the MRI. I communicated that with Enoch and he was able to assist me with rescheduling and setting up another appointment and accommodate me with a related location. When you think of great medical personnel, one most often thinks of a professional such as Enoch. I hope that this employer values his work ethic and keeps him around. Yup they do accepts walk ins for xray but took a week or more to get the result. SDMI don't accepts walk in anymore more but you'll get the result of any kind of imaging ASAP If youre in severe pain and waiting to be cleared for operation I recommend going to SDMI rataher than waiting for a week or more by going to SMI. read more

The girl called back to the tech and started giggling - oops! She forgot to tell them I was waiting. No apologies, just starts laughing. Meanwhile, she and her coworker up front regaled the whole waiting room with a live reading of dramatic texts from their friend group. I also know what they're having for lunch and what their plans are for tonight since they made them on the phone while patients waited for help. They left me sitting there in a full torso brace in pain twice as long as I needed to instead of paying attention to what they're supposed to be doing. So unprofessional. The only reasoning I gave any stars is because the techs here are always very nice and that's so appreciated. read more

I had a MRI scan done at this facility. I was on time, and so were they. The people were extremely polite and professional. Results were emailed to me in 48 hours, as requested. I checked the reviews before I went, and was a little worried. I paid cash, so not sure how well they deal with insurance. All I can say is that things went smooth, and everyone was very polite and accommodating. I did a follow up to someone photo, as we can see the lid of the basket where you toss your gown is now closed. Not sure why the other review left that picture other than to show they were too lazy to close a hamper lid. read more

I had the opportunity to visit Simon Medical imaging twice in the past week. The first time leaving after 1/2 hour of waiting as I was told they were unable to get the imaging and reports from another facility. So I returned a second time with the requested items only to wait an hour and 15 minutes while they attempted to do their job, however unsuccessfully. Only after the second time of me checking on when I might be seen did they inform me they were having trouble undertstanding my reports/images. The staff couldn't tell me when I might be seen as no one was competent enough to read images which is concerning given that is their specialty. I would not recommend this facility as they do not value your time and cannot offer reliable care for the exact services they supposedly provide. read more

A simple hand x-ray and when finished said it would take 5 days before the report would be ready! In what world is that acceptable for an xray for pain. Oftentimes fractures require treatment immediately. Going to Simon Med is an absolute no for me in the future. If you cannot provide same day reports, then they should shut their doors. read more
