Well today took the cake, on the phone for 49 mins on hold. Tomorrow I have a scheduled mri for my knee and I made the appt July 28. My ortho doc actually ordered the mri. I began calling them Monday, to ask if my mri order has been approved by my insurance. Nope, they can't find anything. Ok, I'll call my insurance provider and ask them myself. Surprise! They don't see any mri order. I don't want an appt if I'm not approved as I'm not paying that out of pocket cost. So I decided to call again today, the eve of my appt. I was on hold for 10 mins, someone answered and said she'd have to switch me to the approval dept , here I am waiting again for a definitive answer. After listening to that horrid music while u wait, I looked at the phone and realized I have just wasted 49 mins of my life trying to get someone to answer my question. Needless to say enough is enough and I hung up. I will not be attending my appt tomorrow. I'll also be looking for another place to get my MRI as well as any other imaging done. read more

I received a call letting me know that my CT needed to be canceled due to waiting on approval. I told the lady do not cancel I will call my insurance and find out what's going on and call back. I get everything straightened out with my insurance company called back and she had canceled my appointment. The next available appointment was not until 1+ weeks. I was having this CT done because I had bladder damage during surgery and had a Foley in place. This test was needed to have the foley removed. Tried to speak with a supervisor, and could not talk to anyone. I will never return to SimonMed, and I will never refer anyone to them. Horrible customer service! read more

My appointment was scheduled for August 17th and 2 days before the appointment, I was contacted by the office to confirm my appointment AND to inform me that the location I was scheduled at, no longer accepts my insurance and that she would be happy to schedule me at another location. Thank you so much for the last minute heads up! How long in the month prior to the appointment did you know about this? You could've called sooner, I'm sure of it. I arrived this morning for my appointment for 3 tests, 15 minutes early with all my "paperwork" done online. I arrived to a line literally wrapped around the waiting room. I went to the side and told them I had an appointment, as obviously most of the people in line didn't, and was told I had to wait in line! That line very well could have taken an hour because "we don't have more staff". All this after blowing up my phone with constant reminders of my appointment which could have been because I had 3 scheduled. It is outrageous to make people with appointments wait in a line with people who don't. Even sitting here at my computer writing this is line better spent than standing in that line! Last year they overcharged me for the one test that was not fully paid for by my insurance and they did nothing about that. I do usually go here although last year I was nearly an hour late for my test because I did stand in line. read more

Simonmed and particularly this location is always horrible. I just came back for a scheduled MRI APPOINTMENT. It's a Saturday but their system had the appointment available and sent me calendar appointments and text to remind. I even called to confirm they were in fact taking Saturday appointments and their scheduler said yes earlier this week. In addition to that they always overcharge their patient estimated amount. I paid for a previous procedure 4 months ago and found out through my insurance that they over charged but of course I'm going to have to call them to get my money back. It's not like Simonmed didn't get my payment in addition to the insurance company's. So they have been overpaid for 3-4 months but they haven't sent me a check or contacted me of course. It's not like they can't see they have been paid more than the approved amount. I would not be surprised to see these guys sued with a class action lawsuit because of these kinds of practices. No customer service, no systems that work and shady bus practices.if you have other viable options I would go with some other provider read more

Then I also had an x-ray appt ...with a 2hr+ wait. I left, called BANNER IMAGING and got a same day appt....arrived 15 min early and finished 10 min after my appt time. I came here for an HSG, which for those who don't know is an infertility procedure. It is scary and being so young I didn't know what to expect. Robyn took her time to explain what this procedure was and the steps that would be taking place during the procedure. She made me feel so comfortable and she genuinely cared about making sure all my needs were met. I can't thank the staff, Doctor and Robyn enough for all of their help!! Thank you so much!! I have been to this location many times in the past, and the experience was good. The last two times, it was awful. First, the Simonmed online operator (for some reason it would not let me schedule these online) I spoke with told me the tests my Dr requested could only be done at the Sun City location. I had wanted to have it done at Surprise Stadium location. So I went on my scheduled appointment there, and they said they didn't have all the orders my Dr had already sent to them. They only had one. I said could you please call, and they said no, it has to be rescheduled, and then said, by the way, these can also be done at the Surprise Stadium location. Very irritating, because I had wanted to go there from the beginning. All my tests have been done there. I had never been to the Sun City location before. So now I go to Surprise Stadium location for my scheduled tests (two), a few days later. My Dr had send both orders in. I get there, and they tell me they have none of them. I asked them to call my Dr, and the Dr then gave them a verbal go ahead. So I get the first test done, mammogram. My Dr requested this because she felt an actual lump on my annual visit. The ultrasound was to come next. Well, she didn't want to do the ultrasound because she couldn't see anything on the mammogram. She told me I should check it again on my next annual mammogram. I was shocked. Who gives Simonmed the power to decide what tests should be given, when a Dr specifically orders it. I spoke to my Dr's office, and they were livid. Plus, they told me I was not the first patient of theirs this has happened to. My Dr's office then asked me to get copies of the last three years of mammograms. I went back today, to do so. I asked for the CDs and reports, and was told they could only give me the mammogram from 2021 and the one yesterday. The others would have to be sent to me. I said fine, and proceeded to wait. She said it would take a few minutes. I had been sitting for over 30 minutes when a man came in asking for a copy of his x rays. I decided to see how long it would take him. Well, he got his in less than 10 minutes. So then I go back up to the counter and say I was here well before you gave this man his copies, and she says what's your name, and then says "oh, they are just sitting on the desk here". No apology or anything. Those I had the misfortune to encounter at Simonmed, were very indifferent and rude. They would not even be in business, if not for the patients that need to have tests done! read more

Worst medical office I have ever visited. After my doctor put in an order for a scan SimonMed called me to schedule my appointment. When the scheduler said left knee I corrected them and said left calf. I asked if I needed to call my physician to correct. The SimonMed contact said not to worry about they have it covered. Showing up 20 minutes early for my appointment I was told by the front desk that my charges had not been authorized by my insurance carrier, but they would see what they could do. Almost 20 minutes later the front desk associate said I could cash pay and settle with insurance. I said that is fine. Then she told me I lost my appointment because I was late. My appointment was for 11:10 - It was exactly 11:10 - But she said my appointment had passed, even though I was 20 minutes early. Finally resolving this and being handed off to the arrogant CT technician I was told that he could not perform my scan because the wrong area was noted on the order. I told him that I told the person on the phone that I could correct the error and she said not to worry about it. He said that is not "us" that is the scheduling department. I said isn't the person who called me SimonMed and he indicated yes but they don't know what they are doing and they are not "us". He indicated they had zero responsibility in the matter. Not once did anyone say "I am sorry this happened". Everyone, especially the technician, acted like I was an inconvenience, and this was my fault. I told the front desk manager I could call my doctor and get this immediately corrected, but they said I could not get back in until the end of the month. It did not matter that I had a serious condition I needed diagnosed or the fact that SimonMed told me everything was fine and good to go less than 24 hours earlier. This SImonMed is 1/2 mile from my house. I would drive 50 miles never to come here again. read more

Scheduled a "stand up" MRI per my doctor's order as I have claustrophobia. I gave them the order which specifically says "stand up" MRI. I waited an hour and when I entered the room, I looked around and asked where the stand up MRI was located and the technician said "Oh, we don't have one". I went back to the reception and they made an appointment with another facility which was about an hour's drive from my home. I accepted the appointment. Then, I asked for a refund of my copay and the receptionist printed out a statement. However, when I got home I discovered it was a receipt for my copay. I then telephoned SimonMed and spoke to a billing person but it was very difficult to understand her accent. Eventually, I got the message that there was no data on my refund and it would take 45 Days to be processed!! I called my credit card company and disputed the payment. They are still waiting for a reply from SimonMed. I cancelled the appointment with SimonMed and will not go back to them ever again. Having read all these negative reviews, I believe that their business practices are questionable and the company needs to be investigated. read more

Had a bad experience in getting a mammogram by the x-ray imaging technician there. Would recommend you visit a place who value people from all walks of life instead of having your insurance pay a company who allow techs to show bias towards specific patients. Also, keep in mind the ACR (American College of Radiology) and the FDA will take a complaint if you choose to report a negative experience. read more

Well, I'm trying to give this place another chance because it's so close to home BUT I just spent over half an hour trying to make an appointment with no success. Seriously, how can a business stay open when they make it so difficult to make an appointment?! I called and waited for 20 minutes on hold listening to the SAME song over and over and over. Then it disconnected me! So I called again and pressed a different selection and got a person. He asked what side of the valley I wanted. I told him west side and he placed me on hold, then I got a message saying there was an error and it disconnected me again. So I called back and got the same guy who told me he was going to transfer me again anyway and then I stay on hold for another 10 minutes. I had to go so I hung up. This place is SHITTY! Don't go here if you don't want to wait for hours at the front and finally get called to the back but still wait for another hour. Other people come after you and go before you because they get recommended by the staff to finish their work early or if they complain (personal experience). This place is all about money not quality of work. They don't have customer service or probably never heard of the word. I think they need to close down that will do all the people a HUGE favor. All the positive reviews seem fake either made by staff or those that were given priority. Otherwise, no one is crazy enough to give a positive review to a shitty place like this. I was sent here by the Urgent Care team to get a test done. All I will tell you is that, in my opinion, this was on of if not the most embarrassing tests that I have ever had done. I realize that these tests are done every day, but I was still shy about it. My technician was very professional, did her job exceptionally, and made me very comfortable. I had an appointment at 10:30 am today. I arrived in time to check in and waited in line for several minutes along with another patient. A lady with a cane popped around the corner and said we could check in there & sure enough, there was another agent hidden in a small hallway. After I handed her my ID and insurance card she told me that since I was late checking in they would try to slot me in. I was stunned. At no point did the first agent say I could check in around the corner and she didn't say she could help the next person in line. I told her I'd have to reschedule and said I would do so when I got home. I was and am frustrated and insulted at this treatment. Please train your agents better. read more

Going in for any type of medical testing is often worrisome and inconvenient. For me I was probably not at my best that day but as Mandy checked me in she was so friendly and upbeat she really turned my mood around. During the exams Jacki was so kind she put me at completely at ease. She was conscientious and genuinely caring. She cared enough to patiently take the time to answer all my questions --even when I asked the same ones again the next time! I had an appointment set for 3:45 with a check in time of 3:30. I got there at 3:15 just to be sure. I waited at the front desk while the girl was finishing up with another client for about 10 minutes when eventually the manager saw me waiting and came and took my orders and my insurance card and ID and had me sit down. 30 minutes passed and nobody said anything to me so I asked the manager if I had been check in yet and she told me "she's working on it." So I politely said okay and asked if they were running behind to which she simply said "probably." At this point it is now 20 minutes passed my appointment and I haven't even been checked in. I asked the manager if she was done with my insurance card and ID and she said to me "didn't I give it back to you?" To which I replied no, and she began to look around the office. They gave me the wrong paperwork and then waited an hour to tell me it was the wrong paperwork, 20 minutes past my appointment time and wanted me to refill out more paperwork for a different scan. The do not run on time and seem to not care much about their patients and time management. No apologies, nothing. This used to be my go to for imaging but not lately. I had an appointment for an exam on 08/19/2020. They handed me papers to complete and in the packet was another patient's completed paperwork! I went to pick up the report from 08/19/2020 on 09/01/2020 and they could not find it. Then they said it had to still be read by the radiologist. The quality has declined tremendously and patient confidentiality is at risk. read more

Today, Saturday, 12/29/18, we have to deal with a super nice lady who works there at the Surprise office. Well fellow yelpers, I have come to this place three X's and three X's I have had to wait an exceptional amount of time, even though I have had appointments, because the billing office cannot get my insurance correct. Last time I went in, which was yesterday to get an x-ray, I gave them the number to call to get the authorization. I waited over an hour and then they told me my copay was more than the card said and suggested I pay out of pocket since it was cheaper. I had to go outside and make the call myself, again, and bring my phone in for the front desk to get the authorization on the insurance. It literally took almost 2 hours for the whole time total for a 2 minute x-ray. This would not have bothered me if it had been the first time, however, the first time I went there it took over 5 hours. I was told by the insurance company that the person she was speaking with was rude and that is not ok. I guess 3 strikes and I am out! read more

Had to go get an xray on my back. First time I went on a Monday afternoon and it was swamped. So busy they had two lines just to check in. However, the wait wasn't so bad and they got me in and outta there within an hour an a half. Unfortunately my doctor screwed up and ordered the wrong xrays so they didn't find what I was looking for. Second time I went on a Thursday late afternoon and it was practically empty in there. Much better time to go if you have no patience and can't stand waiting. They have movies playing in the lobby and lollipops at the counter when you check in, which was nice. Both visits the techs were extremely sweet and did their job quickly and efficiently. When I have had to call ahead to get some info, the ladies answering the phones were very pleasant and informative. Be nice to them and they'll be nice to you. I've had no problems here, ever and would definitely come back should the doctor order it. Thank you guys for making this an easy going experience for me. read more

Not because I wanted to, but I've had to come to SimonMed 5 times in the last couple weeks due to some testing/imaging I was requiring from my health care professionals. This location is conveniently located, even has some covered parking! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and stays on time! The waiting room is spacious and the front office staff is NOT annoying. Now that is a win/win/win to me! :) If I have to have more testing done that requires imaging, I'll definitely request to come to SimonMed in Surprise. read more

I scheduled my appt. for a mammogram with this office on Bell Road, Surprise, AZ, because I was not able to get one at the location closest to me. When I called for an appt., I made sure they had my doctor's order for me, and was then given a date, but she gave me two appt. times....1:30 pm for my "sonogram" and 2:15 for my mammogram. I have a very large calendar on my desk where I make my calls, so that I write what is given to me on the specific date, eliminating a question later. So...on my calendar went...1:30 sonogram and 2:15 mammogram. When I reached the office coming from Goodyear, and standing in line, I reached the desk at 1:15, paid my co-pay, took the paper I was handed and sat down. After almost 40 minutes later, I went up to the desk and complained everyone else had been taken, but me for my 1:30 appt. The tech who does the actual procedure was standing there and she said...oh no..your appt is for 2:15 AND..they only do a sonogram if they see it worthy enough after mammogram is taken. How am I supposed to know that? My first question was to the receptionist...well when you checked me in...why didn't you mention something about the fact that I was there almost an hour early, so that this could all have been straightened out when I walked in. I never questioned the appt. of the sonogram I was given by the appointment clerk, as I have had fibroids in the past and I thought perhaps my order which I did not see, was noted as such. I was so upset, I left and later called and spoke with the Manager and she re-scheduled me for the following Monday at noon. I showed up, had my mammogram and left. A report of their findings is usually forwarded to the requesting doctor within a week of the actual procedure. I had a visual visit with my doctor one week to the day, later in the day I may add....AND....they had not received my results from Simon Med! I called my doctor again today, Tuesday afternoon...AND they said, after checking....that the results of my mammogram BY Simon Med WERE STILL PENDING!!!!! 6 DAYS AND NO RESULTS FROM THEM TO MY DOCTOR. I PAID A FEE FOR MY VISUAL VISIT, AND NOW I HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER VISUAL VISIT FEE BECAUSE OF THEIR LACK OF ATTENTION TO NOTIFY MY ONCOLOGIST OF PERHAPS A MATTER THAT NEEDED HER ATTENTION? What does one think when they hear that their mammogram is still pending after this long without any notification to you or your doctor? Terrible service, terrible management and totally unacceptable as a reputable professional medical service . Never, never, never go there! We as patients deserve to deal with a professional staff...especially when dealing with a medical issue...Am calling the state dept. and reporting them for unprofessional service.
