Heard rave reviews about this location and they were not wrong. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Loved that there were multiple vegan options as well. If we lived closer we would be here all the time! The coffee and tea options were plentiful and some of them were very unique. The Cuban sandwich was a large portion. A guaranteed delicious experience whether getting coffee or food. And the accommodations for specific diets are really easy. I recently enjoyed a salmon burger but on a special gluten free flat bread (I forget what it was called) and it was amazing! I didn't feel like I was missing out on good bread at all. The combination of toppings and a perfectly cooked burger was so appreciated also. My friend and I enjoyed the outdoor seating and our server was very attentive and helpful. I wish it wasn't on such a busy road and had a more secluded feel, but what can ya do. This will be a repeat for me for sure! read more

I love this local, neighborhood gem! I have dined at Simon's several times in the past few months and I really enjoy the variety of options available as well as the specials they offer. There is also a plethora of vegan options and the owner/chef, Simon, who hails from a family of seasoned restauranteurs from England, is seemingly very health conscious and runs a local wellness group. They have locally brewed kombucha here, in house made smoothie conditions, and a daily or near daily changing menu of specials. I adore the vegan dishes here--but also love the other vegetarian options I have had. Whenever I go there is a usually a special that piques my intetest and I elect to try they limited time offering. One special I tired, the cottage lentil pie, was delicious and unlike anything I have had before. I also am a fan of their vegetarian breakfast offerings. The salad accompanying the meals are a great size and the soups are delicious. I am particularly found of the lentil vegetable one. Really enjoyed my visit. It's a cute little coffee shop and bistro in a strip mall. They have some dog friendly outside tables but I was flying solo. Overheard the staff telling another customer that a local roaster makes their coffee beans for them, so that's cool, but I went with a delicious sencha green tea. Big pot of hot water came with it so I got a good 3 cups out of it. I also ordered their southwestern/'mexican skillet. It's not called that but it's black beans, onions, peppers, and salsa (left off the sour cream) with scrambled eggs and potatoes. I added turkey bacon. This was really delicious. Not too heavy, a ton of flavor, and really enjoyable. And they even had gluten free toast on the side. Service was perfect, WiFi worked well so I could work for a bit, and the meal was delicious. Awesome little place! We just stopped in here to get an iced coffee to go and ended up sitting at the bar and having a warm cinnamon roll and a blueberry scone. So delicious. Had a lovely discussion with the owners too. Being a small business owner myself, I was So happy to support a local business. We almost passed it as it sits in a small shopping center. Something different Simon's is a little different than your usual breakfast/lunch place. When you look over the menu you see they are of course the place for coffee, but also offer vegan and vegetarian fare as well as egg dishes, sandwiches, and more. There are some limitations on how you can have your eggs prepared and they don't seem to offer griddle items, a little different. I had no problem finding something to eat, their Italian Panini. My concern they would not have many meat items was unfounded, they also cater to us carnivores. My panini included a nice stack of Genoa salami. The sandwich looked good and tasted even better. We did learn Simon's is under new ownership, Simon is no longer running the place. I didn't ask when that occurred, and I didn't think to ask if the menu had changed when we spoke to the new owner for a couple of minutes. He seems like a nice guy, joking around with us. The menu looks about as I remember it from years ago. Simon's used to be closed on Sundays, that changed when ownership changed. Good for us, we visited on a Sunday. read more

Well, I had a very different experience today than I normally have at any given coffee shop. Today.. they were training someone on how to be a barista and it was very cool to watch. When you have a very busy coffee shop... it's hard to train someone "in process", but they did a very good job. Today? I was also able to put my two cents in on how to make a matcha latte... 1st - 1/4 teaspoon of matcha powder, matcha whisked Into 1/4 cup of hot water Then 2nd - heat up the oat milk ( not oat milk with vanilla ) with the espresso maker's frother/heater And then 3rd - pour the matcha & hot water mix into the cup that holds the hot oat milk and mix together Anyone else ? From the moment we walked in the staff greeted us warmly and there was no wait to be seated or order to go as we did. The food was fantastic and filling, I got the English breakfast sandwich and a vanilla latte and they were both fresh and very tasty. This place is really cute and They have so many options for people with all sorts of dietary restrictions. Something for everyone! They have desserts made with dates instead of sugar etc. Our waitress was really friendly and knowledgeable of what they offered which really helped. There's inside outside and bar seating. They also get the bread from the German bakery right next door which is called Mama G,s which I also recommend. Today I had a ginger snap latte and it really tasted just like a ginger snap. I also had the Big Ben skillet with Swiss cheese it was absolutely fabulous! They have a traditional English HP sauce which is very similar to A1 but a lot better in my opinion. This was the best little gem and best food I had on my recent trip to Siesta Key. We had a mixed group of vegetarian, non dairy and plant based eaters and Simon's Coffee House delivered. The smells when you enter in are delicious. I ordered a vegan Jackie sandwich with vegan bacon on it. The vegan bacon was a little dry but everything else was delicious. Wow, what a find! A vegetarian and vegan oasis in Sarasota not too far from Costco . Take out options include prepared foods such as veggie burgers, veggie pie, vegan desserts in addition to the regular menu. Options include non vegan meals too and both include breakfast, lunch, coffee, snacks, oh my! I brought home the traditional veggie burger that was very tasty and fresh. The cottage lentil pie was filling and both good portion size. Pea soup, no meat, yay!, was delicious and bowl portion perfect! Only item that did not meet the same level was their kale tabbouleh which was more of a bland kale salad. Stems were tough and not chopped small enough. My sister and I went to Simon's today for the first time in a while and our server was out of this world! Maya was friendly, personable, and took great care of us while we ate lunch. One of our new to us favorite places in Sarasota! Stopped in today for lunch and loved seeing blankets on each chair of their outdoor seating on this chilly day. The service was just lovely- everyone was so friendly and they even remade our daughters crepe when she didn't like the cream cheese in the filling. It was delicious- she just was being a picky 9 year old. The food was amazing. Highly recommend the Price Phillip platter. The spanakopita was the best I've ever had. Great little nook in siesta key! Decent prices and great food portions. Good for groups, kids, and a casual environment. We came in around 10:30am on a Saturday morning without reservations and we were sat within 5 minutes. The wait staff is super friendly and brought out our food and drinks quickly. Our waitress was Renee and she did a great job of getting all of our 12 orders correct and to the table in a timely fashion. I ordered the latte with a single shot and it was so fresh, recommend getting this or any of the coffees on the menu. The food menu has a wide variety of options that can fit anyone's palate. Seriously, the 4 of us debated what to get for a solid 10 minutes. And then reconsidered about 3 more times because we wanted it all. So here's the winners: Wheatgrass Shot: A healthy boost of nutrients to get you started Scandinavian Plate: I've been hearing about how amazing this dish was for the last 3 days...if that's not enough to make you want it, I'm not sure what is. Turkey Club Crepe: A very healthy amount of turkey, that's for sure. I would totally order this again, but with less turkey and probably ask to add some scrambled egg. Four of us came for breakfast. Homey ambiance, friendly staff. Menu is on the British side - broiled tomato slice, beans, bangers, etc. I had the Full Monty, and full I was. I can eat a lot, but could barely finish the beans, though everything was excellent. My eggs looked very orange, like they had used the extra yolks from the egg white skillets in my scramble. The ladies that ordered the egg white scramble thought they were very good, nicely complemented with the olives and spinach. Coffee is good here.
