Ive come a few times and am a fan. Of all the $15 foot message places in the area Simple is definitely in the top third. It is not the largest joint ive been too but the inside is clean and new. The message chairs look a bit newer here. Staff are pretty chatty here as my friend Anne notes. This doesn't bother me tho. I also like the fact that it is next door to one of my favorite Chinese supermarkets and food court... this means I can hit all my stops without driving all over town. Oh and unlike most little plazas in the area... the one in which Simple Foot Message resides always seems to have empty parking spaces. Yay. read more

SHADY SHADY SHADY! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! $15 for a foot massage and $25 for a body massage for 1 hour sounds like a steal. Well, it's not a steal if they really only do it for 45 minutes, and then demand that you tip them a whopping 60%! Try handing them $40 for the $25 massage, then ask for $10 change. They'll pretend not to understand what you're doing, and say "I keep?? Okay". When you tell them no, they'll say "Tip fifteeen!" When you still say no, they'll say "No no, Body massage $15 tip!" You can argue that that's 60%, but they'll just pretend not to understand what you're saying. Same goes for the foot massage -- they demand a $10 tip minimum. They can't set a minimum on a tip -- this is highly illegal!!! When they assume you don't understand Chinese, they'll keep yapping about nonsense behind your back. Too bad my gf understands what they were saying, so we knew that they were complaining about everyone's "low" tips, and arguing with customers about the massages, and all sorts of other crap that should not happen at any decent place. The massage itself was terrible. There was absolutely ZERO pressure on my knots. I felt EXACTLY the same after the massage as I did before it. Well, I did feel $35 poorer (after I made them settle for $25 + $10 tip). What a bunch of shady ass theives. Don't give them your money. There are plenty of other foot massage places in the area that deserves your patronage instead of these buffoons. RIP OFF ALERT! read more

My brother and I were on our way back to Las Vegas after a wedding this past weekend up north in SF. We stopped by LA to see a couple of friends and relatives in the Rosemead area before jumping back on the road. We saw a foot massage grand opening right next to Pho Saigon on Garvey (Where we eat). For $15 bucks it was one of the best foot massages I have had in a long time. The pressure was very good. They were licensed and most important thing for me is that they are a very clean and comfortable establishment! They were very polite and courteous as well. I do have to say that the rest of the drive to LV felt so much better! I recommend this place to everyone! Price is great as well. They didn't try to skimp out on time like some of the other places in LA. I got pretty much a full 1 hr as advertised. Next time I will opt for the full body massage for $25. read more

Been here 2 times before and even recommended a friend here. I never gave a review though. This most recent trip sucked. They may have changed owners? I got a body message since my body is a bit beat up from taking muay Thai and boxing classes at the UFC Gym Rosemead. I go into the massage room (more of a cubicle with drapes) and get undressed to my underwear. I wait and wait for about 10 minutes before the lady comes in but the clock apparently starts even before a massage. Just my luck. I get a new lady and she sucks. I'm not masseuse, but she didn't know what the hell she was doing. There was no pressure at all and she was essentially just rubbing oil/lotion on my back for 30 mins. 5 minutes was getting felt up. 5 minutes was from getting towels to wipe off. 5 minutes was spent on legs. All in all about a 45 minute massage. The body massage is 25/hr. At the end, I get dressed and walk up to the front the pay. I hand the lady 40 and she was going to keep it! Wtf? You are suppose to hand me change! I stand there and she stands there looking at me. I'm like well? The other masseuses saw it and told her to give me change. She was like how much? You're telling me you don't even know the price of your service? They tell her it's 25/hr so give him back 15. She waits a minute. They other asks if you have the change since they might be independent contractors and there was a hold up. She then asks how much I want back? How do you have the nerve to ask me what I'm entitled back to? What makes you think you are even entitled to a tip? Ridiculous. Won't be back. There are way too many 15/foot massage and 25/body massages all over Sgv. There are literally like 1 every block on a main street. read more

I hate to give places 1 star, but I do not think this place deserves anything higher. We came here for the $25 body massage. They told us to go to a room together and just closed the curtain without saying anything. This was our first time here so we had no idea what we were supposed to do. I walked back out and asked and they told us we needed to get completely naked (but we can choose to keep our panties on). Normally I wouldn't mind but there was nothing in there besides a tiny thin towel. It wasn't a pleasant at all. The massage was below average. Oh and they don't even touch your feet, so I wouldn't say its a full body massage. Other places that offer body massages still do your feet. But what pushed me to the edge was when we paid. We decided to give them $5 each for tip because it was not the best of massages or service. Still, a $5 tip is 20%. They literally stopped us and said that tip is a minimum of $10. What?! I have never heard that before. I was in utter shock. So, if you go here, expect to give at least $10 for tip. PS: They only accept cash. read more

Came with my wife that she had "body massage" in a private room and I got "combo massage" which has extra time in the body addition to "foot massage". Oh yeah~~ what can I say... FYI: there's a 5 dollar minimum for foot massages and 10 dollar minimum for body massages one of the cleanest massage places around the SGV area and if your into deep tissue here is the place to come! I wish i could visit more often :( the staff does occasionally chat, but hey for the great rate I don't mind. If you want something tranquil and super dooper zen go to burke williams spa or something and go pay more for a massage and a quite therapist or get a full body massage in one of the rooms! read more

I've been to other spots for a foot massage and I've loved every minute of it. This place is better because the chairs are super comfortable and you lay down the entire time. I could've fallen asleep, however the loud chit chat that goes on in the place is unavoidable. Are there comical shrieks? Yes there are. Does the staff ever stop talking? Not really. Fortuntately, I am one that can block out all sorts of commotion when need be. If you're like me, you will appreciate the bargain and enjoy a fine massage! This place was very Clean which I enjoy at a Dive-in Massage place! The people were confused on what type of massage we wanted, 3 of us all wanted a the foot massage but I asked for little bit more tension on my back (thinking that it would be 30+30 min combo for foot and the body), but ended up getting the body massage apparently which I kind of noticed when they did not put my feet in anything at the beginning. To be honest, the massage was So Good that I did not mind that it was not a foot massage! The staff were very friendly and I had a one relaxing time there, the lady basically beating up on me, which I needed to get all the tensions loosened up! overall It was not a perfect experience but a great experience still :) I also did not like that they have a minimum tip policy, i guess there are really cheap people who don't tip after massage... I have no idea why this place has such high reviews. I was hoping to sneak in a quick foot massage prior to meeting up with friends for dinner. This was place near where we were meeting up, so we thought we'd check it out. First they pretty much shooed us away since we didn't have appointments. What is the point of having a massage place with ~20 foot massage chairs and 4 private room when only 3 people really work there? As we were leaving the lady come outside and said she would get to us in 5 minutes (versus the previously 30 min she previously offered). So we came back in, BIG MISTAKE. First of all, the sign outside says $15 foot massage, and $25 body massage. They actually only had one available person so my bf opted for the body massage and went first, while I waited 20 minutes later. My actual massage wasn't bad. The girl seemed to put a lot of effort into overall. However as I was lying there and listening to their conversations with their patrons I was absolutely shocked. They pretty much bully you into tipping ~70%. According to them if you get the foot massage $15, you are supposed to tip $10, and if you get the body massage $25 you are expected to tip $15. I heard several people argue with them, and they just flip out about how they aren't being tipped enough. Obviously these girls need to work on the math skills. As I was almost done an Asian man walked in and asked for the foot massage, they argued with him saying that he should get the body massage since it takes the same about of time (but they make $10 more). I stumbled upon this foot massage place as it's by my friend's house. What also attracted me was the yelp deal: $13 for one hour foot massage! This place has to be the best foot massage I've been to yet. It's new, clean and relaxing as the massage therapists aren't chit chatting in mandarin disturbing the peace. The massage therapist I had definitely knew what he was doing as the pressure was perfect and he was able to massage away all of my knots. This is a fairly new massage place in town, but hands down by far one of the best. The therapist that I had knew what she was doing. She was massaging out all the knots I had on my shoulders from all the stress build up. And I can't complain about the price. It's the best $15 that ive spent on a massage. I don't know why i always end up with the person who massages way too hard and mom gets someone light as a feather. I get frequent massages so i'd like to think i know how to distinguish a good massage from a bad one. The secret is in the thumbs! And an understanding of the parts of the body. Throughout, i just wasn't enjoying my massage, it was painful, i wanted to say stop a few times but endured it. The place is clean, staff friendly, but i'd suggest a lesson or two in massage therapy. Such a shame. I tried this place for the first time this weekend. The masseuses have really good technique and the place is pretty clean. However, the workers were talking non-stop. I've been to massage places where they take cell phone calls and chat with each other once in a while. But, at this place, the two masseuses were carrying on a conversation the entire time. To make matter works, another female worker sitting in the corner was very loudly (almost yelling tone) chatting with them. Stumbled upon this place recently while in area ... $15 for 1 hr foot massage (which is really more like a full body massage/fully clothed and 15 min of foot--fine by me). Had an awesome deep tissue massage by a young guy (I think he might be the smoker that another reviewer mentioned, but I didn't have a problem at all with any smoke smell). I used to get weekly massages at a Westside chain and prefer a strong one over soothing Swedish type--and this place delivers. I can see that it might be a bit much for some. Clean and quiet place. I'd definitely be coming here often if I lived in the area ... but now may have to look for an excuse to make a trek here again. Such a bargain, so do remember to leave a big tip ! read more
