The puzzles just didnt make sense, it wasnt "challenging", it was just a bunch of random shit thrown together, and we were just stuck there playing "guess what the owner was thinking". And the best part? They locked the door and then completely ghosted us on the walkie talkie. No hints, no responses, nothing. The walkie talkie turned out to be just as useless as the rest of the props. At that point it stopped being an escape room and started feeling like a low-budget hostage situation. I've had better communication from people that owe me money. Basically paid $100 to get locked in a bootleg Sherlock Holmes office with zero support. At one point I wasn't even trying to solve clues anymore, I was just wondering if I should start rationing oxygen and writing my will on the back of a fake clue envelope. ------------------- Response to owner: Yes, the walkie talkie was eventually replaced, but there was a solid stretch where we were locked in asking for help over and over with zero response. Not once, not twice, multiple times. At one point we literally gave up, sat down on the chairs, and just started having a full conversation. On the clues... we didn't ask to be completely abandoned, we just didn't want to be spoon-fed. There's a big difference between "let them figure it out" and "let's pretend they don't exist". And regarding the "wrong locks", that kind of proves my point. If everything feels like it could go anywhere, it stops feeling like solving puzzles and starts feeling like you're just trying random combinations and hoping something clicks. For the price this isnt worth it at all if im being honest. The experience just didn't match the price point, especially when part of the game was us sitting there like extras in a movie, waiting for someone to remember we were still locked inside.

My friend''s daughter, Dana was in the show as she is a comedianne. There were other comediennes in the show and I enjoyed the evening. We saw a few people leave because this one lady saved so many seats. We told the manager then they asked US to move to accommodate someone's else and then made a joke that "yeah you got to sit by people here" no joke lady. Also not a lot of leg room but you could purchase seats on the stage if you buy them early enough and you don't mind being ragged by the comic. I read "World Performance Arts Center" and thought it seemed a bit presumptuous for what I figured would be a small college theater. It is actually "Wold" in honor of the major donors haha, my bad. The theater is not small at 750 seats. The venue still looks new inside and out, and it is almost 20 years old. The lobby is amazingly airy and spacious with a reception area and stunning contemporary chandeliers. The theater itself is modern, with warm woods and bathed in red...red curtains and seats. It is a beautiful performance arrangement with good sightlines and excellent acoustics, with fine sound system (based on the mics the actors wore, I could hear almost every word). No wonder it was selected for the final televised 2012 US Presidential Debate between Obama and Romney. Rest rooms are huge and clean. One minor note is the box office can be slow to purchase tickets and there could be wait. In this day and age, when purchasing with a credit card, why do they need to manually type in billing address, etc.? Update the system so the ticket buyer only has to insert the card and be on their way.

Everything has run smoothly and all of the craft areas are set up and restocked throughout often times the crafts have broaden some aspects of nature which we love. The evening featured several short plays, each about 15 minutes long, with a 20-minute intermission in between. After the performances, the playwrights came on stage for a Q&A session, which gave the audience a chance to hear about their creative process and ask questions. It was a wonderful addition to the evening. I'm usually away this time of year, so this was my first opportunity to attend, and I'm so glad I did. The tickets were also very reasonably priced, making it an excellent value for a night of live theater. I hope to make this an annual tradition and will definitely be back next year!

There is not a bad seat in the house. The Playhouse is located in a residential neighborhood on Lake Ida. Prior to the Show we sat outside and enjoyed the cool breeze overlooking the lake and the speedboats riding by. It was a delightful experience all around. During the year they offer subscriptions for each season, including shows, plays, musicals, for all ages. This particular show was a sellout. The group had been there before and they were asked to return because the reviews were so excellent. I agree and so did everyone in my party. The chairs are comfortable and it is handicapped accessible for people with wheelchairs, scooters or walkers. It's a very relaxed atmosphere with free parking.
