While I love all the technicians, the companies policies are not built upon valuing customer service. I was ill and unable to make it to an appointment. I had requested the that the no show fee be reversed but since I had already had a few reversal once before, they weren't able to help me out. Why should you stay away from this company? I first heard of this company on Groupon when I was shopping for laser hair removal, and they offered a really good deal for a full Brazilian. It was 6 sessions for about $200 or less. Anyways I called to schedule and was sold on a membership which seemed pretty good given that there were multiple areas I wanted to treat. One of my concerns with the membership was that I was moving outside of Utah and it did not make sense to pay for something I wouldn't be able to use. The receptionist or manager or whatever said that it would be ok, I could cancel anytime with no penalty, so I saw no reason not to join. Now one thing you should know about their membership, you pay monthly but you are treated every other month. Because my move was happening before I had planned, I decided to just stick with the sessions I bought from Groupon, when I emailed them to request that, I was told I could not keep my groupon. All I could do would be downgrade and for a $199 FEE. Exactly. Anyways because of how misleading this company is, I decided to cancel everything and send them an email to request cancellation. Guess what? They refused to cancel and TO THIS DAY they harass me to pay for a membership I do not want. I have explained to whoever texts me that I have requested cancelation and they should stop contacting me because I DO NOT WANT ANY SERVICE WHATSOEVER FROM THIS COMPANY. Not surprising, they ignored that as well and keep sending me texts demanding that I pay the membership, even tho I DON'T USE IT or WANT IT. So my advice to you is, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They are misleading and dishonest, they want monthly payments from you, but they will NOT provide you with monthly service or allow you to get out of their "membership". Honestly, had I bought laser machine online, I would have gotten what I was looking for, for less money and not have to deal with their harassment. Even my request to not be contacted was respected. This is a turn em and burn em chain that I would not recommend. They had me on the phone for 25 minutes asking every question under the sun before I went and when I got there they found out I was on antibiotics and canceled my appointment. Now they're calling it a no-show and you spend 10 minutes to talk to somebody before you can get through you end up calling an 800 number. They really don't care I'm not sure how they get such great reviews. Small area consists of five minutes is what they told me so find out what they're selling you before you buy it read more

I wanted to love this place & I kept making excuses for them but today drew the line. I left work 30 minutes early because it is raining hard & I wanted to make it in time. From my work to the Midvale location it's only 15 minute drive. Well, there was a car accident - called because I knew I was going to be late & no one picked up until 20 minutes later. It was the time for my appointment. I asked to reschedule (same day even) they didn't have any open appointments the rest of the day so they told me a late fee would apply because I didn't reschedule 48 hours in advance. If only I knew I had to leave work an hour early 48 hours ago. Now I'm out $20 for a late fee & leaving work early for nothing. Luckily I only have 3 months left of this "membership" & I will never come back. Results aren't working for me either. read more

I did an 18 month membership and still have so much hair! I do not recommend Simplicity. It is impossible to reschedule and you can never call your actual location you have to talk to a toll free number in another state. My last appointment my tech was very rude and made me feel like the reason the laser didn't work was because I wasn't consistent and I didn't follow their recommendations. I tried my best to follow all recommendations as this was a big money and time commitment for me and I wanted it to work. She also stated that I should have had about 20 appointments in my 18 month membership, however, I never did the scheduling and I always asked for sooner appointments and I only got 15 appointments. SCAM ALERT! My GF gave me this as a Christmas gift, apparently on the monthly "plan". Their "plan" is make you wait three months to get an appointment then tell you that your appointment was cancelled when you show up, and then tell you they can't get you in for another month!! All while they are charging you for every month you wait. This is a horrible business practice, if you need this service, look elsewhere!! read more

Absolute waste of time and money. I have had laser hair removal done three times prior at other medical spas and this place is a joke. They don't do a test patch and instead waste your paid sessions to figure out what strength they should be at. Read the fine print before signing up for anything. I paid for a 10 treatment package at 6 week intervals. What wasn't explained clearly was that they have to be done within a year, which is physically impossible. When I tried to schedule something after my year was up (something I didn't even know I was supposed to keep track of), I was flatly told I should have read the contract. read more

Update: After having a terrible experience at the Bountiful location, I went to the Lindon office. I was not impressed with their customer service either. I've been to the offices in Lindon, Lehi, and Bountiful, and their customer service at all locations is pretty awful. The ladies at the front desk always try to hard sell me more laser packages and products. The treatment I've received from technicians has been inconsistent at best. Every technician I've had has been an inexperienced young girl in her 20's. They seem to hardly know how to use the laser and have different definitions of what a bikini line is. I got the 18 month package and seriously regret it. My hair results have been far from stellar. I've had about 5 treatments now and I can hardly notice a difference. I've seen from other reviews that apparently different bodies react better to hair treatment than others. If that is the case, then it is seriously bad business to trap customers in contracts only for them to find out that their body doesn't react well to laser treatment. It feels like a big scam to me. read more

Just a heads up...do not get the reoccurring membership. If you don't make an appointment they still charge you for that month and there is a no refund policy. I didn't get told this up front. You can't cancel the membership over the phone and have to email them that you want to cancel. It takes forever for them to answer the phones too. This is the biggest rip off. I paid monthly for 18 months with the expectation that I would have little no hair left and that is definitely not the case. They offered that I could keep paying month to month until the hair was gone, but I won't spend another dime here. I even referred my dad here and he's on in the middle of a contract. I have the 18 month membership and the actual technicians are great but they have horrible customer service. If you don't reschedule your appointment within 48 hours you're charged a $20 fee, which is understandable, but they were closed yesterday for Memorial Day so I couldn't call. I called today and rescheduled my appointment for the morning after the original appointment and I'm still getting charged a $20 late fee. The customer service rep told me I would have had to reschedule on Saturday, which was 5 days before the actual appointment. read more

I purchased a 6 treatment package on Groupon for Simplicity. When I called to make my first appointment, I discovered that the first available appointment (at any time, not just at times that could work for me) was over one month out. I scheduled but then ended up getting the flu so called to reschedule. Next available appointment? 5 weeks out. If you are a busy person at all, just know that you will have to plan the rest of your life around their availability. If you can't, you might as well consider your purchase a donation as you won't be able to get on the schedule. It's clear to me that Simplicity has far more customers that have paid for their service than they can possibly actually serve. Not good business practice at all. read more

I'm so far very disappointed in their service. I've paid $200 and only have had 1 treatment. They are so fully booked they can't get me in when I need to. Paying a fair amount of money for this and have been this far very disappointing. The girl that did my first treatment was not through at all and I'm not pleased with the service so far. Have found it very difficult to schedule appointments as I work full time. They fill up very fast for evening and weekend appointments so if you need to reschedule you basically can't as they can't get you back in for over a month. They charge you a monthly fee whether you get your treatment or not, then, if you miss an appointment they charge you an additional $20, but since you can't reschedule if you are not a stay at home mom with open availability, they basically charge you twice for missing an appointment. I also don't feel like all the girls do equally good jobs being thorough in getting all spots of your treatment area. I'm doing legs and had some girls not get all of my ankles before, and that is where I get a lot of darker hairs. I had previously gotten laser hair removal at Ideal Image in another state, and I wish I had gone back there. I'm just very unhappy with my experience here, and would not recommend them at all for laser hair removal. Go somewhere else. This was at their Bountiful, UT location. read more

I bought a Groupon for an 8 session Brazilian hair removal package several months ago. I live about 20 mins away, so it was kind of an inconvenience, but a great price, so I did it. I only gave it 2 stars because MY HAIR HAS ALL GROWN BACK!!!!! On about my 6th session, the employees tried to get me to purchase more sessions, telling me that 8 might not be enough.....this made me mad because I was told 8 would be plenty for my hair removal when I purchased it. On the plus side, they were always quick to get me in, and the employees all seemed to be very nice, but I would definitely NOT recommend this place, at least for hair removal, because it DOESN'T work!!! read more

I purchased the bikini area, even called to ask how much area it covered and she advised it would cover a good amount. I later learned it's not worth the money. It barely covers the inner thigh area and majority of the outer leg area. It wasn't until a technician during my appt that said to get a brazilian treatment. Where you can customize the area without removing all the hair. The service is horrible, one technician at the Scottsdale location is unprofessional and evidently hates her job. I will not purchase there again and warn people to make sure you get exactly what you need and get the service you deserve. read more

My first impression was very positive and I wanted to update it now that I have more experience with them and have completed my first 6 appointments. I have found the technicians to be consistently knowledgeable and helpful. They are well-trained and professional. I am happy with the results. The customer service is also consistently outstanding. They are prompt and always right on schedule for all 6 of my visits. I have never had to wait and often they take me as soon as I walk in the door. The pricing is upfront and fair, no surprises, no hidden fees. I would recommend signing up for their 18 month membership right in the beginning. It is much less expensive in the long run and you get GREAT results! I would highly recommend Simplicity Laser. read more

I went because it was on Groupon and was super excited to go and get my armpits laser treated for the first time. when i went in a felt like it was nice place their service was fine and nothing stood out about them. then after a couple of appointments of going i noticed that not much was changing and they kept scheduling more and more appointments. then i looked up why and they turn down the laser so you have to keep paying for appointments!!! do not go in! they are ripping you all off! and then i moved to the Cayman Islands and cancelled my membership and they kept charging me after i moved and had already cancelled! i called the manager and had to yell at him and demand i get removed for them to finally remove me!!!! I honestly could not be more upset with this company. My skin burned from the lasering and the company would not cancel my prescription. They also did not inform me that I could not cancel my subscription without having an enormous fee when I first signed up. I will never use this company again they are incredibly disappointing. As a first time customer, I've been very displeased with every interaction so far with Simplicity at the Midvale location. Scheduling is a nightmare and if you work until 5-6pm, even worse. I asked to be booked out 5 weeks in advance for upper lip/underarm (since 4 is standard for lip and 6 for underarm) since I do not live close and wanted to get both treatments out of the way in one trip. The receptionist was adamant about scheduling at 5 and instead insisted on 6-7 weeks. She was completely resistant to my wanting the 5 week and she did pretty much nothing to accommodate my ask or recommend a better solution. Of course, once the lead technician/manager was posted on this she approved the 5 weeks right away, the only silver lining to this bad customer service experience. I understand the technicians know best, but when a customer is asking for a specific accommodation- just do it! It's called customer service. I'll still be going here for the remainder of my 2 packages but would not recommend to anyone. read more

The customer service is top notch at this location. Gemma has been extremely helpful with my multitude of questions during the whole process. I have not completed all of my sessions so I cannot comment on my overall results, but every technician has shown a genuine interest in my treatments as well as the extent of their success. Gemma has worked with me to get scheduled in a timely manner and within the 6 week minimum window and has even gone so far as to schedule my session with her personally during the technician's lunch breaks. I have just signed up for an 18 month membership to get more areas done after using two different Groupon deals, and would highly recommend this business. read more
