BEWARE: if i could leave zero stars i would. Nicole is super sweet & friendly IF she thinks you are there to make a purchase. But if you are selling something she's only nice to you once she gets your items. THEN she is rude, dismissive, has a bad attitude and is running a Con. She sold some items and never ever sent the money due. Items were dropped off on March 2022. Some were sold Summer of 2022. Was told in November the check was in the the mail. It's now February 2023 and no check in the mail. She is a THEIF and she has done this to other people as well. read more

The store has a welcoming & vintage sleek vibe to it however it's very pricey for second hand merchandise. we left satisfied with our purchases & the owner was being social & professional with us it just felt more like retail prices and spending more nowadays living in inflation isn't something I want to do. I was eventually reimbursed including NSF bank fees via Venmo when I mentioned I would report her. Now I am trying to get paid out the balance due to me. I have emailed multiple times. I really love the concept of this place, but I'm not sure how they stay in business. I've consigned here a few times, each time with different issues, but it seems like things are going down hill. To note: I have no problems or issues with their consignment policies at all. First time I consigned, they didn't enter my items in their database, so there were problems with them knowing if/when my items were sold, which was a bit annoying. Several phone calls back and forth with much research on their part and 2 trips into the store- it was finally resolved. The next time, they told me some of my items didn't sell and were donated, yet I saw 2 of my items still for sale on the floor. Since then, I have stopped in a few times attempting to consign from time to time and have been turned away or told that they weren't receiving consignments that day/at that time or without an appointment. Fine. Understood. So this time when I attempted to consign again I tried to call in advance to find out when I could bring my items in. Phone isn't working. I try for a week. Phone still out of order. I happen to notice they have a new 'outlet' location closer to where I live. I decide to call to see if I could consign there instead or at least find out what's going on with the other location. Guess what- phone isn't working there either. So I walk there instead. Girl says no consignments at that location yet. So I tell her I'm trying to contact the original location to bring in items to consign. She messages the owner, asks for my phone number and tells me the owner will call me directly. She also says Mondays you don't need an appointment, you can just stop by the shop anytime on Monday. Perfect. No one ever called me back. I called again on Monday morning. Phones STILL not working. Decided to just go in on Monday, I make the 18 minute drive and arrive by 4pm and the place is closed and locked. Sign on the door says they are open until 5pm - and no additional sign or explanation as to why they are closed early. To say I'm DONE with this place would be an understatement. Probably great for those who want to shop here and won't be irritated if you show up and they are randomly closed. There are 2-3 other consignment shops in the area that I'll be bringing items to instead. The store may be called SIMPLICITY, but clearly it doesn't refer to the actual consignment process. Horrible service! I was given a late check that had bounced back. I called and emailed multiple times with no response. I showed up to the store multiple times and Nicole had an excuse every time as to why she couldn't pay me back yet. We finally agreed that she would have the cash in store with her the next day. When I went to pick it up the next day during her business hours the store was closed!! Once it was mentioned that the authorities would be involved I finally received my payment. read more

edit this an edit to my original post below. i want it known that effective today the owner of simplicity nicole and myself are resolving the issue that i originally mentioned. i stand corrected most of my items have been found and the sear continues and we are working on resolving the missunderstanding on my part. i greatly underestimated all the factors that go into locating my items and i apologize. i mean no harm to simplicity or owner nicole. thank you. beware brought large quality (approx 27) of high end jewelry items from previous antique shop business supposedly all were unsold however requested return of my merchandise more then one month before my item expiration date and got 2 jewelry pieces returned claimed she can't locate items over two months later. unethical business practices is taking place here. read more

I went to this store today just to browse. I happened to look around & finally saw this orange handbag. Next to a red bag. Morgan, the young staff was very helpful & friendly.I decided to buy the orange bag which was labeled Celine. It took me few minutes to buy but the problem was I didn't examine the bag . I went out of the store, called my Y sister & she thought the bag might not be real thing . So I went back within 5 min to tell the owner/ manager what I thought. She got very upset & said they don't sell not real bags, stuff etc. I didn't see the big sign in the wall about no returns until I went back in. I was not informed verbally about no returns. I was made to get another bag instead of returning even when I wasn't t so sure I wanted an exchange because that's all they will allow me to do. Needless to say, I'm not going back to that store.I was literally out of the door 5 minutes, was still in the premises of Simplicity store. I think it's really bad customer service. That same person told me that the previous owner of the orange bag is very wealthy & she doesn't buy fake bags. I have a few very wealthy friends & they do buy fake or copied bags. read more

Fantastic consignment store! It's very well-organized and has a wide array of items that can appeal to both older and younger generations. I prefer to do business with the small business owner. However, every time I have dealt with the owner there has been an issue, including taking a lengthy amount of time paying the consignor. Today was the final straw when I was treated in a condescending, demeaning manner only because I did not know that the rules have changed and on Mondays an appointment is required. In front of another person I was chastised for not having an appointment and was told that I needed to make an appointment, even though there was one other person in the store. So, I came home and phoned Linda's Stuff who promptly emailed me a free shipping label. I will not do business with Simplicity again. read more

A Hidden Gem! My girlfriend who is a real bargain hunter recommended we pop in here before meeting another girlfriend at a nearby restaurant. This was one of the most productive ways I have killed an half an hour! Looked around the small shop chock full of top quality used women's clothing and accessories, and discovered two cross chest purses with lots of pockets that are hard to find, that looked brand new, and bought them. Also bought a beautiful birthday card for a friend. Their already low prices are further discounted by items being on sale. The owner, Nicole, offered excellent customer service.
