This is an update from when Done Right was at my house (1week ago) to do cleaning and sealant on my…read moretiles. Robert and his asst, Travis, came back out to "fix" the issue with the sealant that they left on my tile. I tried to help him out by marking the areas with chalk since he "can't see it" last time. Right when he saw it, he said, "I wish you wouldn't have done that, it's not gonna come off." Really? It's chalk. He said well, since you marked it, I'm just gonna clean those areas. I told him I only marked some areas, not all of them. Well, while they were working on my tiles, they got some excess spray? on my wood floor now. And they wiped off with a dirty towel, now leaving my wood floors chalky. Then he starts raising his voice at me when I pointed that out to him. He said, "I don't know what to tell you! Next time I'll just bring some Bona and clean the whole (wood) floor". Don't freaking yell at me like you're doing me a favor bc YOU dirtied my floor. When I told him the sealant was still there, it wasn't coming off the tiles, He started throwing his arms up and yelling "I hate this tile, this is a nightmare"- repeatedly. He keeps saying, look, it gets dirty so easily--as he's stomping on my floor with his dirty boots. And left his dirty shoe print without cleaning it up. Well if you hate this tile so much and know u can't get the job done. Don't take the damn job. He said I'm gonna talk to my partner and call you back so we can fix this. It's been exactly a week today. Haven't heard from him. I just want a refund since he did more damage than good. I would have to hire someone else to get it Done Right. The first time.

Done Right called me back right away and we set up an appointment for the following Friday. They came out, fixed my carpet to my satisfaction. Since I told them I needed the carpet fixed due to a water problem that I had already taken care of, they went ahead and sprayed mildicide on the carpet and padding. Also they cleaned my kitchen tile grout to the point it looks like it's brand new. They then sealed my grout and said it would last 3-5 years, which I am hoping is accurate. I just have to make sure I use nothing but vinegar to clean my floor. That's gonna be hard to do because I like the flowery smelly stuff. I was told when the floor was laid years ago to use only vinegar but I didn't listen. Does anyone know if there is a lavender scented vinegar I can buy? The guys were friendly, very personable, knowledgeable, and thorough. I felt very comfortable with them, they seemed like good upstanding citizens of the community. I definitely recommend these guys.

Tony showed up when he said he would and did an amazing job of making the fence look great, in spite of the fact that we could not rip out the existing posts that were installed horribly. The fence and gutters both look great. I will definitely hire him again if there is anything I need done. I wish I would have known about him sooner! He gave my husband a quote, then gave me a higher quote for the exact same job just two days later. He initially agreed to honor my husband's quoted price, but when it came time to complete the work, he backed out of that agreement, even though everything was documented in writing. I reached out to confirm our scheduled date, and he confirmed it. On the day of the project, he never showed up and made no attempt to communicate. When I contacted him, he said it was because he never received my Zelle payment. Instead of simply letting me know there was an issue beforehand, he chose not to communicate at all. When I tried to resolve the situation, I was met with a rude attitude rather than professionalism. Overall, this was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience, and I would not recommend working with him.

They responded quickly, came to my home, and thoroughly assessed the damage. What really stood out is that they didn't immediately try to push a costly solution. Instead, they advised close monitoring and said they would follow up over the next 60-90 days so I wouldn't spend money that I might not need. However, when my home began to worsen and I could tell the situation was progressing, they acted immediately--scheduled the work right away and returned to install piers to properly elevate and stabilize the home so it would stop sinking. Throughout the entire process, the team was highly professional and respectful of my property. The work area was necessarily invasive, but they kept everything extremely clean and handled my home with care. Communication was excellent, with clear explanations of what to expect and a solid timeline from start to finish. They also provided a full warranty, and the quality of the job is flawless. Had some cracks around the house wondering if I had any foundation problems especially with our…read moreterrific clay soil in Katy. Had 2 structural engineering firms - both had different solutions to the same cracks. Called Lonnie and Jack at Lincoln Jacob Construction (LJC). They came up with a 3rd solution that incorporated the best of both engineers. Claeton 2nd in command from LJC came over to redo the inspection that the other 2 engineering firms completed. He noted there was a marginal need to do anything . We decided to pursue a minor lift to fortify our foundation. After the completion work, LJC had the engineering firm to do final inspection. Voila - house foundation now solid and leveled. The people at LJC are great - honest, responsive and excellent value for a local Katy company. Some tips ; expect lots holes, but will be filled back up with soil or new concrete patch. For those areas where you don't want an unaesthetic concrete patch - like the entry to your front door -request tunneling. Ask for rebar added to concrete piers to provide more strength. Expect new cracks- this is inevitable but the majority of the my old cracks are much better Make sure engineering firm comes back to certify the completed work. My recommendations work with a good team . The best is Josiah at Crosstown Engineering and work with a honest responsive and excellent construction company - Lincoln Jacob Construction - Jake, Lonnie, Claetan, Omar and Jamie were great.
