Something we wanted but we were so full from other food options at Plant Street was the CHEESY BREAD which has Roasted Garlic Oil fired with Prosciutto, Mozzarella, Provolone & Gorgonzola. We visited tonight with friends and were seated right away, which was a great start while we waited for everyone to arrive. The restaurant was celebrating Carnivale Week, and while it was festive and entertaining, the noise level inside made conversation difficult at times. Service pacing was the biggest challenge. Our appetizer took over 25 minutes to come out, and our entrées arrived close to an hour after ordering. Unfortunately the food itself didn't match the wait. It was served only lukewarm, and the chicken was dry and overcooked. That said, the service team truly tried to make things right. Josephine and Antonio were wonderful, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout the night. They quickly addressed our concerns and brought out a freshly made pizza that was excellent. We never asked for compensation, but manager Fabio personally removed the chicken from our bill to make sure we left on a positive note, which we appreciated. I hope that they'll go back to not putting cream in the tomato sauce, but I would order this again and just get plain noodles next time. We were adventurous and tried the Galaktoboureko dessert, custard wrapped in honey phyllo. It was served warm, and it was sweet and creamy. Our server Rafael was very attentive. About the only problem we had was that the appetizers and entrees arrived at the same time. Say what? Nico, one of the managers, chatted with us before and told us he had worked at the Taverna Opa in Hollywood. After our meal, he stopped by to see if we liked this restaurant and even offered us a taste of mastiha, a Greek liqueur. Hubby doesn't drink, but I gladly accepted a shot (and really liked it). We had dinner around 6 pm and the entertainment was starting just as we were leaving a bit after 7 p.m. We couldn't stay longer because we had to catch a speaker. Dinner for 2 with 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, tax, and tip was $137.

From our perspective, the level of professionalism and hospitality did not meet expectations for a property serving hotel guests. What stood out most was the consistency of the experience across multiple visits. While anyone can have an off day, the same issues occurred each time we visited, which made it feel less like an isolated incident and more like an ongoing customer service problem. First impressions matter, and the way guests are treated at the entrance sets the tone for the entire dining experience. Unfortunately, based on our experience, the service at the front of the restaurant needs significant improvement. We hope management takes guest feedback seriously and works on creating a more welcoming and professional atmosphere for future visitors.
