I came to because I had moved far from previous Hair Salon. My hair was down to the middle of my back and very thick. Unfortunately, the second time I went, all of the color was removed from my and I looked like a wicked witch. The stylist stamped color back onto my scalp, but it looked and the processing made much of my break off. I went to another stylist at the salon to have my hair fixed. She did an OK job, but I left with all over my face and she have time to do the that we're booked three of the four times I had appointments with her. I just got to the point where I couldn't go through the drama anymore. I do not recommend this salon for those reasons. read more

Highly recommend. New to the area & was hesitant about finding a hair stylist/salon. Nicole was amazing. She listened to my input & did such a beautiful job, giving me exactly what I was looking for. I loved Simply Hair many years ago. Over 30 years. I moved back to the area, and I was riding to TR from Manahawkin. My girl in TR is having children, and our hours are way off. My daughter called a friend at Simply Hair and told her it was an emergency because he was getting inspected in the morning by his sergeant. WOWWW, this girl was great, no, better then great. I will never go back! I was quoted $175 over the phone for a cut color and highlight after I was done they said $311 I almost passed out!! My appt was for 12 they called while I was in my way to tell me they were running behind I sat for 45 minutes waiting!! read more

Amy @ Simply Hair is amazing with color. It helps that the salon stocks Goldwell products and she's a master with them. The receptionist is wonderful- great on the phone or texting , the salon is immaculate too. It's a joy to get a great haircut, perfect color and a pleasant experience. read more

Was there a few times. In the beginning it was ok. I like my hair dfferent colors. I had to supply my own color as they did not provide permanent colors. Had my hair done 2 times in a week. Color washed out both times. Stylist told me not to contact them anymore!!! How rude!! read more

I called to see if I could get an appointment in today for a pedicure and eyebrow wax. They told me that they were booked however the receptionist asked someone if she'd be willing to stay late to do my appointment. Sure enough, an appointment was made for today. Amanda was really friendly. I was afraid that the appointment would be rushed however she took her time to do my pedicure and eyebrow wax. I was truly appreciative and grateful. While the staff is very nice, I would not recommend this place for pedicures. First, $40 is outragious for a simple pedicure and no massage is included in price. The polish is cheap with few choices and the utensils are not sealed in sanitary wraps. Very disappointed as I am looking for a nail salon down in LBI area. read more

On LBI for one week vacay, haven't been able to get to my regular colorist in Philly who I've gone to for 22+ years. With trepidation, I booked Sonja at Simply Hair for foil highlights. WOW!! Stunning result and phenomenal blowout. Salon is spotless, staff is efficient and super friendly. I don't know the name of woman who shampooed me, but holy cow, her shampoo reduced me to a drooling fool. Worth every penny! read more

Came into town for my niece's wedding and needed a salon to do my hair and makeup on a Sunday so I found this salon. I ended up having an appointment with Judy to do my hair and Teddi for my makeup. My hair and makeup came out great and lasted the day despite the crappy weather. I will definitely go back if I stay in town again for an extended period of time or if one of my other nieces get married. I definitely recommend this place. read more

As a Hair Stylist/ Colorist at Simply Hair and Nails in Manahawkin, I am in the "make people feel good" business. I always strive to achieve what works best for my individual client regarding their hair type, facial structure and lifestyle. This process always begins with an extensive hair consult usually involving photos the client provides. On occasion when a client is not satisfied, I will work with them to achieve what they desire. If that is not a possibility, another experienced stylist/ colorist from the salon will offer their services. Yes, at Simply Hair the client is always right, however, that unfortunately does not equal satisfied. In this case, we may even recommend another local salon to the client. I tip generously everywhere I go so please don't take that as a compliment to the job that was done. My two youngest children got no more then two inches taken off and my youngest wasn't even blown out fully. Instead the stylist just scrunched her hair and made it look like she had just stuck her finger in an electrical socket. She absolutely did not leave with a favorable reaction. Instead she got in the car crying her eyes out. When we got home I had to wash her hair and cut it myself to fix what your stylist had done. The haircut wasn't even straight. I have no problem paying extra for blowouts but $23 a child for a blowout seems like robbery. I also would have loved to talk to you when we were there as well but like I said when I asked to get the problem addressed your stylist just came back and said "we are allowed to charge whatever we want". read more

I can't say enough about this place. I walked in nervous as my hair had grown back from Chemotherapy and I had only used color on it. Wanting highlights and my summer blonde look back I asked for an experienced colorist, I was very happy with my highlights. I am a regular at simply hair. Had what was described to me a "Conditioning treatment for my curly hair" Treatment was to last for about one month. The name of the treatment is called OLAPEX. My curly hair now is frizzy and the curls are considerably looser. Complained to owner who called the sales rep. I still have not heard from her 2 months later. Please do not use this product if u love your hair. read more

I could not have been happier with our experience here. My sister had her wedding trial with Sonya and it took about 3 diffferent styles to get it just right. Sonya was patient and understanding the whole time and the rest of the staff were also very friendly and complimentary. On the day of the wedding Sonya drove out to our hotel in Beach Haven to do styles for the bride and bridal party. She arrived early and was refreshingly laid-back (so necessary for the stress of a wedding day!) My hair came out great as did the other bridesmaids' styles and my sister (the bride) looked incredible. Our styles even stayed perfect on the beach during the ceremony! This was definitely a winning experience and I would recommend Simply Hair and Sonya to any bride. read more
