Quick, diagnosed and resolved an issue my regular mechanic couldn't figure out. All for a low price.

I had been looking for an honest and reputable shop for my VW Jetta who was dying, if not dead.

I previously went to this location before they changed their name and the prices were astronomical…read more I thought that with new ownership that it would be better but I was wrong. I took my car in for a repair that's a normal wear and tear part that usually cost me $550 elsewhere and after they did their diagnostic (which is $77 that they don't apply to the price of the work like other shops) they told me it would be $700 for that part and $170 to find out where an oil leak was coming from. They then call and say the oil leak was in two locations that would cost over $4,000 to fix it all. One location I had already priced and was quoted $650 elsewhere and they were charging more than double. They also were recommending that I get an oil change, which I had already done a week earlier, change my rear brakes which I had done a month earlier and checked them again after the visit and they were fine, and change both my engine and cabin air filters which I do myself and was done a couple weeks before. In total they wanted to charge over $6000 and for a lot of work that was already completed before I got there. It looks like they will take advantage of you if you don't know some of the things to look for or what you need before you go in. The work was completed correctly that I did have done but the up-charging and upselling is not what customers need right now. Try to find another shop that's honest and will not try to price gouge you

Hello, I was…read morereferred to Auto Rescue after Discount Tire accidentally broke a wheel stud on my vehicle. While the initial greeting was pleasant and the customer amenities were nice, the subsequent service and predatory pricing tactics were deeply concerning. Part 1: The Wheel Stud Repair To replace a single wheel stud, I was charged $362. For that price, I expected high-quality components, but they utilized an entry-level Dorman stud. Part 2: The Strut Replacement & Immediate Failure During the inspection, they correctly identified that my struts needed replacement and quoted me $1,750.69. Given the premium price tag, I assumed they would be using OEM or high-quality aftermarket parts (like KYB) appropriate for a Lexus. Instead, they installed budget AutoZone Duralast parts without disclosing the brand during our financial breakdown. Had they been transparent, I would have declined the service. Predictably, the struts failed within a single week, severely compromising my ride quality. Part 3: Questionable Diagnostics and Upselling I returned to Auto Rescue to utilize the warranty for the failed struts. Instead of resolving the issue, they claimed my CV axle was broken and presented a massive laundry list of recommended repairs totaling an astonishing $13,000. I immediately refused service. Furthermore, their own vehicle inspection report explicitly notes that the technician physically manipulated and removed the CV axle boot, creating an audible banging noise during the diagnostic. The Resolution: I took my Lexus to an independent, trusted mechanic for a second opinion. They confirmed that nothing was wrong with my CV axles. However, they discovered that Auto Rescue had improperly handled the springs, mounts, and strut assembly to force the Duralast parts to fit. I am now facing a $3,800 repair bill from a reputable shop just to undo the damage and restore my Lexus back to factory standards. I strongly advise taking your vehicle elsewhere. This shop pairs low-quality parts with exorbitant labor rates and highly suspect diagnostic practices.

Loretta has retired, and things are not the same. In January 2024, this business replaced my catalytic converter.During the process, I was spoken to rudely. I did not feel as though my business was appreciated. When I reported that my check engine light was still on, I was told that I needed to "drive it off." I know nothing about cars. I have always relied on Loretta's expertise. So, I extend this trust to the new management. In June, about 375 miles later, the check engine light is still on. Take the car back to Seredni on Ironbridge Road. Now they tell me that the check engine light is on because I need a new 02 sensor. I think the 02 sensor was needed in January. I have no idea how much damage that flawed diagnosis has done to my car. But I am now also having electrical problems. They charged me to tell me that if there is a problem with the electrical system, it is intermittent and can't be diagnosed. I drive through a car wash and immediately see the problem I initially reported. There is no light behind my speedometer. I am told that there is a hidden switch somewhere in my car, and if I bring it back, they will find it and get the light to come on. The location is so secret that it took me two minutes to find it on the web. I am not going back. I am looking for a new mechanic who wants mybusinesss. I really miss Loretta.
