I've had the Moyers team work on my cars for over 10 years. They have provided consistent excellent service from the time I walked in. Mr. Moyers was recently able to point me in the direction of getting a new engine in my Hyundai Santa Fe when the diagnostic code showed a problem that was related to a manufacturer recall (this led to the Hyundai dealership taking care of everything on their end). That saved me so much money and I'll never forget the honesty and integrity I've experienced with working with the Moyers auto experts. I've been a repeat customer at Moyer's since getting my car, and their integrity and kindness is consistent at every visit. Jason helped me the most recently and was so honest about my options, took a look at my car and gave me a darn close estimate for all the repairs. They don't upsell or push anything, and their invoices clearly show what everything costs, and they ask permission before making any changes to your car. A less important note is they made sure the radio was turned down, the ac wasn't blasting, and they left it as they found it. They do what is ask of them and do not take advantage or charge you for unnecessary repairs. They are affordable and reliable. I was driving down the road minding my own business. Unfortunately I must not have been looking too sharp because the shoulder of the road had been cut off. The edge of my tire caught the edge of the road and was pulled down into the dirt. Right at that moment, the shoulder continued again, causing me to slam into it at 40mph. This cracked the rim. So I ordered a new rim, and two new tires and took it to Moyers, forgetting to tell them about my little accident. Moyers put on the tires and new rim, and took the van for a drive. The came back 30 seconds later saying "what happened to this thing? Everything is crooked!". Apparently when I slammed into the shoulder, it also threw everything out of wack. Moyers quoted me $500-$1200 to fix the damage. They weren't sure exactly what the price would be because they wouldn't know the extent of damage until they started taking things apart. Very frustrated, I scheduled the repairs for the following week and prayed I wasn't getting taken for an idiot. After dropping the car off the following week, I waited until the end of the day and called them asking for an update. They said, "things went pretty well. We were able to fix the front and didn't have to replace any major parts. The rear can't be straightened without dumping a bunch of money into it, and we don't think it's so bad that you should worry about it. It will wear your tire a little unevenly, but it shouldn't be a problem." I said "Wow! Okay. How much is the bill?" Jason replied, "$260". I was absolutely floored. He literally had me completely prepped for a $1000 bill, and then only charged me $260!!!! This is the kind of honesty that is unheard of these days! I picked up the car later that day and, with many thanks, paid my bill.... which was actually $237. Then his wife, gave me a Christmas mug with a ribbon on it full of chocolates. I just called this Auto Mechanic to get some general information about warranty whether it's worth it and how hard is it to deal with the car warranty insurance company and the actual mechanic because that's where the truth is with the mechanic. Jason the owner was gracious enough to spend a good amount of time with me explaining to me how these warranty companies work and what to look for and what to ask and he gave me a few recommendations. You know it's really nice of him to take the time out of his day to give me all these tips and I'm not even a customer. Just goes to show that this place is really a genuine place to go because they don't have your business and they're treating me this good. he also mentioned whenever you get a used car always come in and get an overall check which is $89. This way you get an out side true review of the car you are buying not just what the dealer is telling you. I never thought about doing that but I can see where the value would be totally with it. Thank you Jason you really gave me a lot of good tips and I really do appreciate it. I'm looking forward to using your services in the future. I've never felt like I was getting honest service until I brought my car to Moyers. And that's saying a lot...I've been driving since the 70s and have lived all over the country. Owners Jason and Laura have created a family atmosphere at Moyers and it spills over onto their customers. I've been given a free ride home when the work was going to take a while (I live within 10 minutes of the shop) and I've taken my car there because the check-tires light was on and they didn't charge me because it was just low pressure. Laura at the front desk is so friendly...and even if it's not Laura answering the phone, any person I speak with is always polite and warm. It's so nice to have a car shop I can trust! I needed to get my car inspected. I, of course, waited until 1/31 (ala the 11th hour). I called at 945am, they were able to take my car at 10am. The inspection was completed (and a bulb that needed to be replaced) in under 20min. I ended up staying another 20min to complete a lovely chat I was having with the owner. At no point did I feel talked down to, or patronized, which as a woman is often the case. Fair price, quick friendly service, and an easy location. The kicker? Today I received a thank you note.
