What surprised me was the prices but more on that later. The menu is streamlined and the choices are few. What HiHo does offer is simple done correctly. The Waygu beef is fresh and they do not over season the burger. They let the natural goodness of a quality beef patty do all the talking. There is plenty of flavor but the burger is not overly greasy. The buns are made in house, as well as the pickles and they both deliver. I love a burger with shredded lettuce. The French fries are prepared fresh and cooked to perfection for my taste. I like my fries slightly crispy and a little dark. They showed up well done and almost too hot to eat. I tried their in house sauce called "Matty Sauce" and still don't know how to feel about it. It was explained to me as their version of thousand island but there was an after taste to the sauce I still can't describe. I decided I didn't care for the sauce but never stopped dipping my fries in it. So in the end, I guess I ended up liking it? I feel you will either really like it, or really dislike it. I tried both the chocolate and vanilla shakes and preferred the vanilla. The shakes are made with house made ice cream and serve their purpose. I liked the fact they have a dispenser just for water and ice. Overall I say drop what you are doing and go get a HiHo Double. The most amazing thing about this burger is its simplicity and freshness. Two things that are often overlooked and/or not well done. If you want bells and whistles go elsewhere. If you want a really, really fresh and well made burger at In N Out prices, HiHo delivers.

I was in the area & my daughter was craving an In-N-Out cheeseburger after a grueling swim meet, so I brought her here instead. I shared my history here... of how I met my 1st IRL Yelp Elite friend, MIchelle W. (both my kiddos address her an "auntie"). Notable changes since... other than the obvious higher prices, removal of Puck's Pure Cane Sugar soda fountain & table service (replaced with counter service via pager), sliced pie is now a go-cup, & additional patio dining option. I ordered a Hiho Double & Hand-Cut Fries for the 2 of us, & received a pager for counter pick-up. Even though dining room was only 1/3 filled on a Sunday night, our order took awhile before we were buzzed. I noticed the cheese was melted, but not fully melted like the initial visit. What's more perturbing was the size of the burger, specifically the patties that were both significantly smaller in circumference than the bun. I understand shrinkage, but this seemed skimpy in comparison to what I remembered. Not only that, after finishing the tasty burger, I didn't feel full. Could an inch more make a difference, I don't know. The fries were mostly tasty; I say mostly because there were quite a few limpy ones. The shorter fries were crispy, & the longer ones were limpy. I'm guessing either there's a significant temperature drop or too much surface water? I should have asked for a new batch. H said the fries were ok, though she loved the cheeseburger; said it's the best she's ever had. Hmmm... I wonder what she would say about the burger nazi's OB. HiHo's decor is minimalist & clean with an earthy, rustic feel, which is reflective of the "natural" ingredients of the menu. I liked the modern barn rafters & geometric grid ceiling. The menu hasn't changed too much, still the same: burgers, sides, dessert, shakes & drinks; with the addition of The Willie Mae (chicken tenders sandwich). Price points are on the higher side, though on par since it's a fast casual restaurant, but my hunger wasn't quite satisfied. Previously, their burgers were paired with fries, now it's a separate order. Still the same friendly service with slower execution. Fresh Food, Warm Hearts, and Worth the Wait…read more I stumbled upon Yagul while visiting Solana Salons nearby, and I'm so glad I did. This was my second visit, and it confirmed exactly why I came back. The food is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. On my first visit, I enjoyed a traditional breakfast burrito with fresh fruit and café de olla, and everything was delicious. On my most recent visit, I was reminded once again why this little spot stands out. Their fresh juices and smoothies are excellent, and the beans and rice taste homemade, which is something you don't find everywhere these days. What really makes Yagul special is the people. The woman who helped me may be the owner, but either way, you can see the pride and passion she has for the food and the guests. She, along with the rest of the staff, was incredibly kind and welcoming. Everyone greeted guests with a smile and made you feel at home. One thing to keep in mind is that your food may not arrive in five minutes, and that's a good thing. They're preparing fresh food, not fast food. The extra few minutes are well worth the wait. Yagul is one of those small, family-style restaurants that can easily be overlooked, but once you find it, you'll want to come back. If you're looking for authentic Oaxacan food, warm hospitality, and food made with heart, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

Everything sounded solid. But then... we waited. And waited. Over 30 minutes passed. In that time, about 3 to 4 other customers came in, placed their orders, got their food, and left. Meanwhile, we were still waiting on two of their more popular items. I tried to be patient, gave them the benefit of the doubt, until I saw someone who arrived 25 minutes after us get their Chicken Shawarma within 10 minutes of walking in. Given that we were on a time crunch with other places to be, the delay was beyond frustrating. We ended up speaking with the manager and shared our concerns, but by that point, the experience was already soured. Now for the food. I wanted to like it. The first bite had promise, but after that, it just felt like I was eating out of obligation. For the price point, the service delays, and the lackluster flavor, I honestly can't recommend the entrées I tried. The coffee? It seemed to be good, but not enough to bring me back just for that.
