One of the best Thai restaurants in Utah County

One of the best Thai restaurants in Utah County . To be honest, I am not a big fan of Thai foods. But this one is different.

Came in for lunch with some people from work and I must say it's a good quick spot to grab lunch. I got the beef laab that comes with sticky rice.

Food was good! 9/10! Service... not so much. Unfortunately our waitress did not ask what spice level we wanted on the curry... and it came out pretty spicy. I would've appreciated if she had asked due to my friend having a low spice tolerance. They waitress came over 3x before we were done to ask if we needed boxes and our check. But we were not even done eating.... so this made us feel very rushed there was 3 hours before they were to close and 5 other tables occupied. I don't know why she was in such a rush. That was annoying to say the least. Aside from that, the food was good and I'd be back for that. Probably just take out tho.

Good service. The food was pretty decent compared to the other Thai places around my area. The pad see ew had actual dark soy sauce in it. Normally when I get this from other places there's barely any soy sauce and the noodles looks white. The dish had plenty of meat and veg in there. I wish it had Chinese broccoli instead of American like the traditional pad see ew does. The pad Thai was flavorful. My mom complained that there was not enough peanuts but I thought it was fine. Next time I'll try their curry which looked like you get a healthy portion from what I've seen at the other tables.

Simply Thai is consistently good. We get red or yellow curry with papaya salad padThai noodles. They have great customer service. Their take out is quick. They're not open on Sundays. Highly recommend this place. I haven't had a bad experience yet. I've talked to the owner many times and she tells me she tries to keep everything healthy and uses gluten-free options. For many of us who are gluten-free. There's no difference in the taste. It's delicious. They changed ownership but they came by several times to make sure our food was everything we expected. Customer service was excellent!

Okay I have to say that going into the restaurant I was a little skeptical of how good it was going to be. I was so happy to be wrong. We came here for dinner before seeing a show at the Hale. It is a little bit strange as you come in order and pay then you're seated. Not my favorite process as I felt a lot of pressure to decide my meal quickly but it works. I hope it's just a temporary COVID change. Onto the food. The food came out fast and hot always a plus for me but the flavors here really pushed the meal over the top. The pad Thai was fantastic and I felt like everything was perfectly cooked. If you can't do pad Thai well you shouldn't be opening a Thai restaurant and I was so happy that this place didn't disappoint! My friend got one of their curry dishes. It came with a large portion of rice and the plate. The curry had a great balance of sweet and spice. The plates are served so you can share with each other which is a huge plus for me. My only complaint was the lack of service. Once we got our food no one came by the table ever again. I'm a big fan of peanut sauce and I wanted to ask for some but it never happened since the staff was never in the dining room. It was strange especially since only 3 tables had guests. I wish that would have been better but the food was excellent and I will come back here again.

    Massaman curry - it's a huge bowl

I'm debating on just how to rate my visit here. The food was quite good. I don't even really like curry but tried my friend's massaman and it wasn't too bad. I really enjoyed my pad Thai. They're struggling to figure out the functioning during Covid thing, which I get can be tough. But I couldn't even get a glass of water. Had to get a bottled water and thus, that's all the water. I like my ice water with my dinner and so it was a bit tedious to have to go easy on the water. The service was helpful - in fact too much so. We were asked two times if they could take our plates while still eating. Maybe they were really bored and wanting something to do.... Food was good enough that I would definitely come back though.

Really bad food. Not just bland, but bad tasting and the consistency of sauces and soups was disturbing.

We ordered Laarb, Pumpkin Curry, Tom Ka, Satay, Chicken Wings, Pad Thai, and the papaya salad platter. My only note to the staff is to perhaps include a photo of the papaya salad platter. We thought it would just be a larger portion of the salad, but it had a smattering of different things. All great! Just not what we expected. Maybe that's standard for Thai fare and we just didn't know it? Service: the issues spoken of with being rushed were completely absent for this trip. We actually accidentally overstayed our welcome past closing! I didn't expect them to close at 8:15 on Saturday, but that is a-okay with me. They were so kind as to give me a free Mango Sticky Rice for my birthday! This will have to become a tradition.

For a strip mall spot, the ambiance is nicer than you'd expect, the prices are fair, and most importantly, the food delivers. We started with the Satay Chicken, which comes as a generous four-skewer portion with an excellent peanut sauce. My one note: the chicken itself was a bit over-fried for my taste, but the sauce made up for it. The Pad Thai was well-balanced and flavorful, exactly what you want from a Thai staple. First visit, but definitely not the last. Worth a stop if you're in the Draper area.

For many years they occupied a detached building facing 7200 south. But a couple of years ago, they moved into the strip mall directly to the south of their original location. Their spice levels can be off the charts so I'd advise starting with a level 2 of spice. Otherwise the food can be overly spicy. I recently tried their Swai Choo Chee, a white fish in the catfish family. It was really flavorful and the curry in which it was served was a change from the usual green curry I typically order. The staff is friendly and very polite and being Thai natives, they know how to make the food correctly. I will continue to support Chabaar when I'm in Midvale and only wish it was in an area closer to my home.
