Previous owner recommended this outfit so scheduled appointment to fix. Guy showed up and I showed him the leak. He quoted me over $650 for this minor repair. WOW! I was shocked and told him, "you can leave". Had a different plumber out the next day who charged me $140 and had the issue fixed in about 15-20 minutes. Called the company and canceled my upcoming appointment to inspect my HVAC system. Explained my dissatisfaction with the crazy quote for a simple plumbing repair as reason. Nearly 2 months later received a $99 invoice for task of "Diagnostic". On invoice it states "Refused to sign and refused to pay diagnostic" I did not refuse to pay or sign as I was never asked. My advice, run from this company.

Within 4 months of the install date, I started noticing water around the base of the new hot water heater. I called H&G assuming they would send someone out to address the situation, but I was told it would be $140/hr to have someone come to my house. The warranty on the water heater only covers parts. I then asked if they find something that was wrong with the installation when they show up that's causing the leak, would they simply repair that at no charge? Nope, 30-day warranty on the workmanship involved with the installation. I made this phone call as I was standing in my basement with about 6 contractors who were doing a remodel for me. All of them were shocked at this level of customer service. Make sure you read the fine print when you're hiring H&G to do anything. The couldn't have cared less when I called them. I'll never use them again. I guess I should have looked at these reviews online before I hired them.
