While the dentist who performed the extraction was professional and efficient, the subsequent care provided by the dental assistant was unacceptable. The assistant struggled significantly with the impressions, requiring three painful attempts that left my mouth raw and sore. Furthermore, she fabricated a temporary bridge that was bulky and ill-fitting, then proceeded to cement it without the Doctors authorization. The doctor eventually had to intervene to remove and fix the work. Which meant more unnecessary work had to be done. This lack of technical proficiency resulted in an unnecessarily long and "borderline traumatizing" appointment. I strongly feel this assistant requires further training before performing these procedures on patients again! However, the front desk staff is super sweet and nice. I enjoyed Stacy and all the knowledge she provided me to have a great experience!

His bedside manner is superb! He took the time to get to know my daughter and to put her mind at ease...and he even called to personally check on her after we went home following the extraction. Both procedures were done with the utmost of care and next to no discomfort. The entire staff is kind, friendly and accommodating. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Mahar and will definitely be returning for any future procedures.

I was then directed to meet with financials, oh surprise!! You have to pay 500 dollars for the "x-ray" they just did. This was not mentioned beforehand. PRP is not covered and surgical center fees and anesthesia fees are really high. Nothing is presented as optional or modifiable. This did not feel like medical care, felt more transactional. The place is clean and looks like an oral surgeon office should. They went above and beyond by taking the time to explain everything to me in detail and repairing the damage that was done to me at the other place. I'm still currently visiting Sandhills and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone. I really just can't say enough about them and Dr. Berridge. Probably one of the best experiences I've ever had at any dental type of office which I hate going to but these people make it a pleasant experience which is a welcome change.
