During the huge rains we had in Oceanside we developed a leak in our second floor bathroom in the area below a window. Various companies I called were not interested in trying to figure out the source of the problem and just blamed the windows. When I called Joseph however it was a different story. He is extremely detail oriented and took the time to investigate the potential causes. He determined it was from cracked stucco near the window, but not the window itself. Which made perfect sense with the location and behavior of the leak. He meticulously started opening up the stucco to see the extent of the damage. He found the paper under the stucco had deteriorated pretty severely on that wall due to the extreme sun exposure over the years. He continued to open it up until he was comfortable that he had exposed all the issues. After replacing all the damaged areas, stuccoing the entire wall and repainting, you couldn't even tell the whole side had been opened up. He even took the time to examine all the windows above the area of the leak for any damage, and thoroughly cleaned them and even resealed them. We also had Joseph remove a statue from an alcove and re stucco the area. And again, his work was impeccable. Paint matching was perfect. He took pictures of everything as he worked, he explained all of the things he was doing and why he was doing them. His pricing was very fair and communication was very good. On a personal note, he was a pleasure to work with. I appreciate his attention to detail, and his quality work. But he was also just a kind and friendly person to talk with. He would even offer to pick up food or supplies for us if we needed anything when he was on his way or getting supplies. I highly recommend Joseph in all regards.

He showed up as promised and gave me a written quote an hour or so later. He came with a workman, Nazario, in a couple days who did the patches - expertly and even redid one that I hadn't noticed where the A/C company (a big name that I won't mention) did a bad job on. Benjamin then came two days later with a second workman, Santiago, who did the fogging on the patches. Benjamin was here in person for both days both at the beginning and at the end of the job. He is a good communicator. He said that no job is too small which is good to hear because we all have small fixes that need doing. He started as a handyman and now has his contractor's license, so he can do about anything. Both Santiago and Nazario did near perfect work as far as I can tell. I am more than pleased with their expertise, promptness, fair price, dependability, and communication skills.

The wall had a long-running moisture issue that caused bubbling in the painted finish, so we wanted to cover it with stone veneer while still allowing the wall to breathe and drain properly. Hugo helped think through the right system, including creating an air gap behind the new veneer, and the installation was done beautifully. Once the prep work was complete, Christian applied the stone veneer, and his attention to detail was outstanding. The wall is an irregular shape with slopes, steps, angles, and awkward transitions, but he cut each stone carefully so the finished wall looks seamless and intentional. That level of patience and perfectionism is rare to see. Both Hugo and Christian were courteous, professional, and easy to have around the house. They kept the job site clean, tidied everything up at the end, and even hauled away the empty brick pallets, which was not part of the original scope, at no extra charge. The pricing was fair, the workmanship was excellent, and the finished wall looks great. I would definitely use Superior Stucco and Stone again!

Once received, he texted a competitive quote and said he could take care of our job the same day (light workload that afternoon). His men arrived ahead of schedule, walked around our home to double-check areas in need of repair, masked work areas to protect pavers, worked efficiently, and completely cleaned up after themselves.
