I am so grateful that I decided to walk up to the counter at Singh is King. The smell of the food is so amazing! The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, and he offered to let me sample several different types of chicken before I ordered. My favorite was the Chicken Madras Coconut which he told me is his own recipe and it was absolutely amazing. The flavors are rich, creamy, and so flavorful. I also really appreciate the reasonable prices, especially for the quality and portions you get. I enjoyed it so much that I came back twice in the same week! Found this spot inside of the food court of West Covina mall. Food was great - can't beat 3 curries + rice for $20. My son had the mango lassi and he loved it. It's made fresh. You can sample the meat which is nice if you are unsure of what to get. My only complaint is it didn't come with the cucumber side that traditionally comes with Indian dishes. I assumed it was in my to go bag maybe it's only available upon request or at an extra cost and I overlooked it. I also ordered garlic and plain naan and they both tasted about the same. The garlic naan, the mango lassi, & the curries we got were both good. One had garbanzos only it was a vegetarian option and the other had beef. Yummy!! I'm so glad there is Indian food at the mall now! I've never had Indian food. The smell drew me towards the food court and when I figured out where it was coming from I had to follow my nose. This place was better than some restaurants I've been to. The staff were super friendly and offered great suggestions to try. They made our naan fresh to order and holy crap was it delicious. Super light and fluffy but very soft while retaining a little bit of a chew. The sauces were light but had a lot of flavor. Even the tikka masala had a light weight but delicious sauce. The cherry on top was that they had great drink options. I will definitely be coming back here. I will agree with a lot of people in the reviews. The rice was dry and flavorless. I don't mind flavorless rice as plain rice tastes great with so many things but it was dry and brought the dishes down a bit. read more

I was actually looking for a good place in the West Covina mall food court. Thru recommended Singh is King. I looked at the menu, love curry but didn't list shrimp. The owner said "I can make it for you". It was DELICIOUS.!! Medium spice, excellent curry sauce with coconut and cream. Plenty, I mean PLENTY of shrimp . The flavor was outstanding. The vegetarian and vegan options are good. Tried the butter chicken and chicken korma they were good but I'll always be a sucker for a paneer option. The price for the serving is agreeable. To me the naan seemed a bit overpriced however you can't eat the curry without a naan. We hope they are able to continue here. We don't have good Indian food options in the area. read more

This is my 1st yelp review. I had to download the app just to leave my 5 star. This place is so GOOD! The husband and wife team are very nice, and patient. They will give you as many samples as you like (don't sleep on the mango chicken) and the chef is professionally trained. Every dish tastes different and delicious. So, I came here for lunch, tasted some of the curry and thought I had found a good spot. To my dismay I had not. The rice was trash and did not go well with the curries, I ordered a meal and it does not come with a drink or naan. 17$ for two curries and some rice. I would show a picture but I threw it away. Anyways, I paid extra for the nann, total came out to around 21$, and it was the most unflavored basic garlic naan I had ever tried, I don't think that they even put any garlic on it. Not even sure if bro is really Indian after tasting what he brought out to me. I was so disappointed in the food I decided to ask for a refund after about 4-5 bites. He declined and thought it was because I had to pay for the naan, even though I told him, politely, that the rice and naan were just bad and did not compliment the food well. So with no refund and no full tummy I'm writing this to you. Would not recommend, would not come again.
