I love this place. If you ask me this is the best Indian food in Covina. It's a small little market restaurant found in a large plaza. There is definitely no issues finding parking. Food is fresh and the taste hits all the notes. My favorite has to be the butter chicken, chicken curry, their fresh Naan and the vegetable coconut curry. This is my go to when it comes to buying my spices, lentils and curry paste. My daughter also buys her hair oils here. Balu the owner is such a sweetheart. Always so helpful and willing to explain. India Fresh is a grocery store that also offers plates of curries with rice and garlic naan. If you're there to eat just walk towards the back counter to see what's available to order. The staff was very welcoming to me since I came in during lunch time and explained the combo plate options and costs. I ended up ordering the 2 item plate with Chicken Tikka Masala & chick pea curry with my choice of the garlic naan. Staff mentioned she was going to make a fresh batch so I waited inside the store. The food was ready in a few minutes and the aromas of the curries and garlic naan were radiating. It smelled so delicious. I ate my lunch there and it was very satisfying. The tasted very good and I cleaned that plate easily! The fresh garlic naan was simply the best to dip with the curries. I loved the crispy exterior and soft interior of the dough. I came here DoorDashing one night, and it was a bit of a wait for fresh food. I was immediately acknowledged and asked if I wanted anything to drink while I waited. They even gave me Jalebi to try, something I never had before and I loved it. Their staff is very attentive and friendly. Came back today as a customer to make a purchase and support the business. I was in the area to do my taxes last minute and the wait was really long so I looked up local food and this place popped up. I got the butter chicken, chicken curry garlic Naan and rice combo. I used to be a regular here pre-COVID, but afterwards I've come so much less. The quality and flavor are still there, but the portions are a lot smaller, what you get is mostly liquid, and the price went up by $3. A one meat one veggie combo was $8.99 per my last review, and now it's $11.99. At this point I'm far better off going to a buffet for better value, the one in Rosemead is $16 for all you can eat. Because the flavor is still so on point and the owner is still such a nice, sweet man I'm only lowering to 4 stars instead of 3, but it's pretty rare I stop by anymore. I wonder if you order off the menu as opposed to from the combos if the quantity and better and it's less watery, I'll have to try that sometime and update again. read more

Got take out of the samosa and bhel puri for dinner earlier! Flavors were pretty okay, not super strong like a lot of other Indian food eateries I've eaten from. The Samosa came with a tamarind and mint chutney that were both good and helped elevate the samosas! While I liked the refreshing flavor of the bhel puri, I'm more used to having it where there's a little more crunch or crisp to the ingredients. I don't know what I expected, but it beyond met my expectations. The Samoa's were crunchy, hot, and really tasty! Inside was potatoes/ peas and it just paired so well with that damn cucumber crack sauce! The bell peeper and potatoes were outstanding as well...just everything was seasoned perfectly and most of all nice and HOT! (So hard to come by right now with the CA/ Covid regulations) Altogether, we paid 23.00 for a good amount of food. The garlic nan was big enough to feed 3 people off of 1 slice lol. . It was piping hot and the smell of garlic makes me so happy! They had just enough! 100% we will be back to try more off their menu.
