Excellent work. We highly recommend Sione's! Here's the quick summary (longer one below it, if you're interested): We hired Sione's to replace our wood porch with a concrete one, replace the supports holding up the porch roof (while preserving the roof), and also replace the concrete stairs leading to our porch. We are super happy with the results. Paul and co. are reliable, communicative, and they have the know-how for a wide variety of work! More details: The roof over the porch due to be replaced was in good condition, so we wanted to preserve it, and we hoped to save money by preserving the existing supports that held up the roof, as well. We also wanted to replace our old, uneven steps leading to the porch with safer concrete ones featuring a rounded corner, so that you can walk diagonally up/down. Paul and co. signed on to this initial scope. After starting the project, we discovered that the old supports holding up the roof were in worse shape than we realized, and in need of replacement. Paul and co. were helpful and proactive about finding a solution for replacing the supports that stayed within our budget. They also did a great job of temporarily supporting the roof while replacing the supports. Our project involved a lot of steps and thus spanned roughly a week, and throughout the process, Paul and co. kept us well-informed of progress, scheduling, next steps, and they also were happy to answer every question and we had along the way. This was the biggest project we've done so far with our home, so it was really great for us to have this level of support and communication. Another thing that stands out to us about Paul and his team was how they went above and beyond, multiple times. For instance, it hadn't occurred to us that filling the porch in with concrete could make it more difficult to discreetly run electrical power to our shed in the future. Paul noticed this situation and offered to install an out-of-the-way cable pipe of sorts (not sure what the technical name is) that we could use to cleanly and easily run power under the porch in the future, saving us a future headache. Another example: initially, we didn't know that our porch roof and house siding are less-common materials that are hard to find these days. Paul's team had expert experience with these materials, realized this potential issue, and did a great job of maintaining and reusing these materials as they cleaned up the underside of the porch roof. Then they tightened up the porch roof underside that was sagging (it looks so much better now). They even constructed a cover/hatch for our crawlspace out of some of the leftover scrap material, so that it matches the rest of our porch and house! Let me start by saying that my husband and I are very picky and have, arguably, unreasonably high standards for home renovation projects. We agonize over hiring contractors and often don't, even after getting several bids, because we aren't happy with the professionalism, knowledge or plan presented. After turning down multiple other bids for our patio project, we called Sione's based on their positive online reviews. Paul responded to me within 24 hours by phone to discuss the project and sent me a rough estimate by email same day. Their price was competitive with other bids we received - it was a bit higher because unlike others they would rent a concrete pump vs. using wheelbarrows and Paul kindly explained why this was important. He patiently answered all my other questions, provided options and walked me through the entire plan of how the project would be completed over a 3-4 day window. Since the project was time sensitive, they moved some things around to fit us in. Folks showed up on time, wearing masks and did excellent work. Ness was the lead on our patio and was always very patient...even when we questioned if the patio was level...which it was :) :) We have some landscaping yet to do to finish this off but the patio is perfect! Sione's poured a sizeable stamped concrete patio & staircase for our back yard. We are more than pleased with the work! We purchased a new construction home that needed the back yard landscaped, so we decided to look into bids for concrete. Prior to our first meeting, I had no knowledge of stamped/colored concrete. Sione (the actual Owner) came out to do the initial bid, on time & very professional. He pulled up his portfolio on his IPad and showed all the different styles & color schemes available to us. We appreciated that he was more interested in getting to know what our vision was, so he could help us bring that to life. After receiving several bids, we decided to go with Sione's because he was priced competitively and was able to start work right away. Per our agreement, on the day of the pour, the crew arrived on time and started work immediately. The crew was great; very professional and personable! The workmanship on the patio & staircase exceeded our expectations! The color was spot on and matched our home wonderfully and the design for the stamp was beautiful, exactly what was promised! We have a new construction home and had a vision of what we wanted to do with the back yard. We prepped it all to our liking and then had three bids on a sizable pour of stamped concrete. Sione's was not the cheapest, although close, but we decided to go with them as they left they best impression on us after talking to all the contractors. After the bid process Sione called me and we talked. 5 minutes later I called him back and told him that we accept his bid. His crew was out a week and a half later and started forming. We had a good idea of what we wanted with a 640sq. ft. patio, two sets of steps, two sidewalks and another good sized pad plus a poured in natural gas fire pit totaling, nearly, 1,200 square feet. We did not really know how we wanted it all tied in. They offered some suggestions on what would look good, worked with us, made some changes after the project started and they were timely. The final result was wonderful! We could not be more pleased. This is a one time deal for us. Just the size and cost of this, alone, meant that this had to be done right and done right the first time. I would recommend Sione's to anyone who wants a project done right and done once. read more

After bidding a few companies, I hired Sione's crew to come out and pour a 10'x14' (6" thick with rebar) swim spa pad. I cannot begin to express how impressed I am with all of the guys that worked the job. Sione was prompt and professional on the phone. Ness, who came out to site check the location, was very knowledgeable and answered any and all questions we had about what is best for the swim spa. On the day of the job, they were on time, ready to work, and finished the form (including digging down 2", taking out old concrete, and cutting out a buried stump) with an hour to spare before the concrete arrived. I cannot express to you how wonderful these guys are and HOW HARD WORKING they are as well. They wheelbarrowed the concrete in to save money on using a pump and still had it filled in under 30 minutes. These guys worked through rain squalls and had to hand mix a little more concrete to make sure the spa pad was perfect. These guys did the whole job in one day. The next day they came back to remove the forms and raked out our existing gravel around the area to make it look clean and professional. I would hire these guys back in a heartbeat! read more

We hired Sione Construction to take out our old concrete stairs and put in new ones. They just finished the job and we are very happy with their work. There are two things I want from a contractor: I want them to do a good job and, perhaps more importantly, I want them to show up and do the job. Sione Construction checks both of those boxes. Paul is the point person and he was always responsive. His crew, which includes his brother Ness, were always there when they said they would be. Both Paul and Ness were not only responsive, they were very helpful. Paul gave me suggestions on where to buy the lights for the stairs and what lights to buy. Ness had some great suggestions on how best to install the lights. They gave us an estimate for the work and that estimate never changed, even when they ran into issues getting the concrete. The estimate was the final bill. We would highly recommend Sione Constuction. We enjoyed working with them. They did a good job and they did the work when they said they would and for the cost they quoted. Couldn't be happier. read more

We received bids from multiple companies and Sione's not only improved our vision of what our project could be but were competitive on price. Our project was extensive and required multiple pieces of heavy machinery and a few weeks of work, these guys are hard workers who know exactly what they're doing. They helped us level out our backyard, built multiple retaining walls, added a large space of gorgeous stamped concrete and built a nice railing on our upper deck. Not only did our project turn out better than we had hoped but we were so pleased with how professional Paul and his team were to work with. They were reliable and were at our house at 8:00 every morning and gone by 3:30, each day they cleaned up and put out caution tape to keep us and our neighbors safe throughout construction. We hired Sione's Construction to tear out an old, rotting wooden deck and replace it with a brand-new Trex composite deck, and the results were great. The team showed up, worked efficiently, and made quick work of demolishing the old structure -- hauling away every scrap of old lumber and nails without leaving a mess behind. As part of the project, they also did a complete demo of our backyard, clearing out years of overgrown invasive plants that had taken over the space. This also included leveling out the space to ensure erosion control was considered. The Trex deck looks fantastic -- sturdy, low-maintenance, and a huge upgrade from what we had before. Communication and follow up could have been better but I highly recommend this company if considering a deck replacement or larger outdoor renovation. Paul was very courteous and professional in contacting us for a bid with a thorough description of the work to be done. They were not the cheapest bid, but the presentation and professionalism shown during the bid process was exemplary. The work was scheduled and performed when promised, and on time. The crew, led by Paul, Armando, and Ness did the work efficiently and were very responsible to keep the area cleaned up after each day's work was completed. The job of removing the entire old driveway and prepping the new driveway with rebar and a trench drain, then pouring the new concrete and finishing with a brush coat was completed in one week. He came across very vibrant and knowledgeable. He recommended different designs and patterns and really opened our eyes to all the options we had. We finally decided to tackle the hard/land-scape around the house and had a lot of apprehensions about this decision because of bad past experiences. We called a few contractors and had a few estimates. We chose Sione because he was personable, informative as well as reasonably priced. I rarely post Yelp reviews but these guys deserve high praise. From beginning to end, our project was handled by true professionals. They gave us several suggestions for replacing stairs (17 stairs with 2 landings) and we ultimately went with the stamped concrete. They came back last week for the sealing and the stairs look amazing. We have received many compliments from neighbors as well as the guy fabricating the stair railing. Everybody on the job was very courteous and friendly. Their estimate was very fair and a few extras were added without a change to price. We needed some work done on our front and back concrete porches and so appreciated Paul's upfront discussions that we had them redo the back entry way (looks fantastic - Paul had great ideas) and front porch - but also had them remove a deck and build a great looking patio.....all at a very reasonable price. We searched for a long time to find a reliable vendor that could demo and replace our concrete stairs and walkways in West Seattle at a reasonable price. Sione and his team offered creative solutions and were very flexible in dealing with a sewer pipe replacement project that we had going on simultaneously. Sione's did a splendid job on our two patios. For the back patio, we went with stamped concrete. In our front courtyard, we wanted a more modern look, with brushed concrete blocks separated by grey/black pebbles. Sione's was professional, knowledgeable, easy to work with, and were here and finished within two weeks.
