This adorable coffee house ranks among one of my very favorite coffee houses. Impressive, local art adorn the walls while unique and comfortable furniture as well as original wooden flooring bring a truly earthy and comfy vibe. Polite and welcoming employees serve sophisticated dishes that are exceeded my expectations for a coffee house. Unfortunately, I'm just passing through and on my way back to California, but if you live nearby, enjoy this treasure.

A cute spot for coffee and bites when you're downtown Crown Point. Limited indoor seating but great outdoor seating options if the weather permits, my one comment would be prepare yourself for the noise from the street with outdoor seating being right inside the sidewalk if you're sensitive to noise. The French toast sticks were perfectly done and the egg salad sandwich paired well with the croissant. The drinks are amazing which goes without saying and the service was quick with kind employees.

Their food is delicious!!! I can't remember the names of the sandwiches but I'll definitely be trying ALL their food.

Was out in Crown Point, Indiana for a swim meet and found this hidden gem. Couldn't believe this was so enjoyable at 7 am in the morning. The staff and the owner were excellent. The food was top notch for something besides your normal egg and toast. Coffee and latte were great as well. We had come back the next wanting more. The decor and local art display were done tastefully. The arts are for sale also. Hope we'll be back in the area again.

I had a great experience at Sip! we were able to snag an outdoor table so we had a great view of the Crown Point square. Those in my party ordered coffee and tea - the drink options were so numerous. You could get a very flavored coffee bev all the way to the traditional cuppa or plain latte. And they had plain iced tea and a collection of loose teas that could be made hot or iced! I had a loose tea iced, which was so perfect on the warm day. We all also got the pick two option and all picked a salad and half of a sandwich. Everything was so fresh and with creative ingredients. Being in northwest Indiana, I loved that the wraps and sandwiches had a few choices that contained giardiniera. We didn't splurge but the baked goods looked tasty and they'd be a great complement to the teas and coffees. The inside was quirky with vibrant colors and art and a chalk board menu. I definitely loved this cute lunch spot!

I ordered the Sip Trio which came on a bed of wilted, rotten lettuce (I could smell the odor). I also order a salad that came with chicken on it that also contained bad lettuce. Very disappointing to have to weed thru that and I honestly would've thrown it all away had that not been lunch that I ordered and had to wait for. I would not order again. Rotten lettuce is unacceptable.

Cute spot in Hoosier land. It was a sunny afternoon when I decided to do a little work and grab a nice hot cup of tea at a local café. I came across Sip Coffee House in the heart of downtown Crown Point on Main Street. I planned to stay for only 30 minutes, but that turned into an hour! Upon arrival, I opened the red door and walked into what felt like a living room with its eccentric , bohemian, cozy style sofa and tables. Splashes of red and colorful artwork hung from the walls in what looked to be work from local artists. As I approached the display case, I spotted one of my favorite flavors on the menu: lavender! My hot lavender latte with whole milk was delightful. If you're ever in the area, this is definitely a nice place to stop to do a little work or have lunch with friends.

Just went here with a friend, and I loved their aesthetic here a lot! The store itself is a little small, so space inside is limited but they do have tables you can enjoy outside. I got their iced s'more latte, and it hits the spot if you're looking for something sweet! Additionally, their sandwiches don't disappoint either - I got their jalapeño popper grilled cheese & it was divine. A great place to hangout, get some work done, and also have great food/coffee at the same time!

    Hot Apple Cinnamon Cider

Stopped there to try some cider. Never again! It tasted like they had put apple syrup in hot water. I took off the lid and it was exactly that with cinnamon stuck to the bottom. I cannot believe I paid $6 for this. Would not recommend this to anyone!

Cafe con Leche. It tasted as good as it looks.

Easy breezy... the place for all who seek a comfort place. Lots of art for sale and a great selection of crafty coffees.

When our food arrived, I cut into mine and it was extremely rare--so undercooked that one side of the patty was still pink. My son's burger was cooked correctly, so I know mine clearly wasn't. When our waitress checked on us, I explained the issue, and she politely apologized and took the burger back. A few minutes later, the manager on duty brought the same burger back upstairs, slammed it down, and asked with an attitude, "What is the problem?" I explained that it was undercooked and that I had ordered medium well. She then asked, "What do you want me to do with this?" while just standing there staring at me. After acting irritated, she asked if I wanted a new burger or wanted "this one" recooked. The idea of them recooking a burger I had already cut into and handled felt completely unsanitary. Her attitude throughout the interaction was awful. I declined a replacement, and she huffed that she'd remove it from the bill. Unfortunately, it got even worse. Just minutes later, an earwig crawled out of my friend's salad. We were horrified. We took a picture, caught the bug, and asked another server to get the manager. When she returned, she walked up with her hand on her hip and said, "Now what?" We handed her the napkin with the bug, and instead of apologizing, she opened it right there on the table, let the bug crawl out, scoffed at us, and said, "Fine, I'll take that off the bill too." At that point, my friend was covering her mouth in disgust after realizing she had been eating a salad with a bug in it. Rather than showing concern or professionalism, the manager snapped, "What do you want?! I didn't put the bug in the salad." I have never experienced such unsanitary conditions combined with such shockingly hostile customer service. Mistakes can happen, but the manager's behavior was beyond unacceptable. We left disgusted and will absolutely never return.

I and a few other family members were invited by my mother and by the time I walked out, I was wondering why this place wasn't packed wall‑to‑wall every night. Let's start with Monday's AYCE perch -- absolutely outstanding. Lightly breaded, perfectly seasoned, and fried just right. It's the kind of perch that makes you rethink every mediocre fish fry your uncle threw that your family tolerated. If you're a perch person, this is your new weekly ritual. Then came the walleye, WATCH OUT NOW, and honestly, my sister wasn't prepared. She said it was flaky, flavorful, and cooked with the kind of herbs & spices she recognized that said, "Yeah, we know exactly what the hell we're doing." "It's the kind of fish that makes you pause mid‑bite and appreciate life for a second." But the real surprise of the night? The bacon, mushroom, and American cheese hamburger -- unforgettable. This thing deserves its own billboard. Juicy, stacked, and unapologetically delicious. Every bite felt like a small celebration. On top of all that, the place is spotless. I mean impressively clean. Floors, tables, bar area -- everything looked like someone had just finished polishing it. You can tell the staff takes pride in the space. And speaking of the space... Yes, the building once housed a gentleman's club. But now? It's so clean, so friendly, and so well‑run that the only thing dancing is your taste buds. The only thing exotic here is how good the food is. Pivot Lounge has officially earned a spot on my "must return" list. Great food, great service, great atmosphere -- and a glow‑up story worthy of its own documentary.
