Usually cute and trendy places never live up to the hype/ the quality of the food doesn't match the aesthetics, but man this place is a solid 10/10 all around. I have tried their rice bowls and seafood pho and let me tell you, they do not skimp out on their portion sizes! The seafood pho had plenty of protein inside and was brimming with flavor. Best place that I've gone to have pho. I love Pho Please but this somehow tops that. The broth is just so flavorful and I love that you get two sides of meat with the beef broth so I just have double rare steak. The only downside is that there is only one bowl size otherwise I'd get a large hands-down! There's usually seats inside but we did have to sit outside once and the utensils/sauces/paper towels weren't adequately supplied outside so that was a tad weird but definitely great place for pho. I've seen and had lobster pho and pho with beef rib - all kind of gimmicky where the protein was ok but broth was lacking- flavorless. So when I read reviews of the wagyu pho being the best bowls of Pho they ever had I was highly skeptical. Well...it's the best bowl of Pho I've ever had. The broth was steaming hot and so flavorful - anise and so much bone/pork flavor. The wagyu was given raw on the side, plentiful in portion and so so tender once you drop It in the broth. There was a lot of people eating at 2 there so I think the secret is definitely out. This place has vaulted to the top of my list in restaurants and can't wait to go back and try their Banh mis and vermicelli bowls. And the restaurant is nice/modern/clean while still being causal. Super excited this opened up so close to campus! The interior is extremely aesthetic and I love the clean, elegant feel of it. The layout of the restaurant is similar to Ramen Tatsuya, you order at the front and get assigned a number somewhere along the long, communal tables. All of the utensils are at the tables in the bins at the tables. Although the interior is primarily white, the neutral wood tones and vaulted ceilings give it a warm, homey feeling. I am a huge fan of their broth! It's very light, which makes it stand out from tradition pho broth. I thought it made the pho unique, but if you are looking for 888 style broth, I probably would not recommend Sip Pho. I got the Beef Pho with Rare Steak and Flank and I really loved it. The portions are also really great. Each bowl comes with a lot of vermicelli and meat. The price is a bit more than if you went to UTea Pho, for example, but I think it's worth it for the taste and you're definitely paying premium for the aesthetic. There is free parking in the private lot! There just aren't a ton of spots, so beware and try to get there when it's not busy. read more

I was brought to town by an academic conference. Stay in a hotel very close to UT campus. Saw this place has great reviews. Had something in hand so arrived at 8:20ish. There's a long line (Thursday night) wait for over twenty minutes. Not because the line was long but the counter person constantly walked away. Finally it's almost my turn the staff said I could only take out. I really wanted to dine in because I took Uber here for a dine-in experience and I wanted to try short rib pho in a clay pot. They suggested sitting outdoor but it's super cold these days. I finally decided to do take out. Short rib pho and boba tea. The boba tea was really just average. The pho soup was superb. But the short rib was too tough to chew. There's a super big chuck of meat that hurt my teeth a lot. Finally I had to throw it away. The staff was quite impatient, or even rude. This is the main reason why I was unhappy. Nobody was at the counter ordering. So it took twenty minutes or so for me to order and when it's my turn I was refused to dine in. If there's constantly someone in charge of ordering I would be able to sit and finish meals very quickly. Moreover when I was about to leave I saw that people were still eating while the staff were piling up the chairs. I took a uber to and from this place while having to take out something with meat that I couldn't chew. Disappointed. read more

Let's get this over with, the place is expensive. With that said, this was one of the best pho bowls I've had, and I've had a lot. I make it at home, I eat it when I visit family. Sip pho is a really solid place for pho if you're around campus! The restaurant is SUPER aesthetic, so it'd be a really nice place to hang out when COVID is over. Their pho bowls are pretty big portion and I can never finish it all in one sitting. The vegan vermicelli is the best I have ever, ever had--and I live in Seattle where we have plentiful excellent Vietnamese restaurants. It was rich with an excellent array of vegetables, as well as a tasty sauce, peanuts and noodles.
