3 rolls of second batch, which took over 40 minutes tô get to my table.
    Helio A.

I am a regular customer of this restaurant for the last 4 months (2-3 times a month). On last Saturday (08/22/26), I had a really disappointing experience with the AYCE service. After my first batch, I put an order of 3 sushi rolls which took a while to get to the table (40 minutes of wait). By the way, only 2 arrived and then I canceled the 3rd one, as I saw customers who made their orders after me of the same thing or even more. I'm not sure what happened, but I actually don't wanna go back. I felt disrespected for nothing.

My newest top favorite AYCE sushi! The fish tasted so fresh, rice to fish ratio was great, sashimi cuts were decently sized, and they had crudo! Our server was so kind and still kept up with everyone's orders even while handling 3 large parties at the same time. She took her time to explain to us different menu items and recommended her favorites as well! The interior is a bit on the darker side so this is a great place for a dinner date. It wasn't loud, just background chatter (think coffee shop). Will definitely come back!

Wow! thats it, that's the review! Just kidding but man this is by far the Best AYCE i've had hands down. The crudos, apps, the rolls, nothing we had was bad however the ragoons were over cooked, spicy edemame was basic- taste like the chili garlic sauce was poured over the top and served, the rolls we good tasted as expected for what we ordered, but the Black pepper tuna and escalor crudos stole the show, the spicy tuna tacos were great as well. Our waitress was kind and made sure to check in often. 10/10 recommend.

The food here was pretty good. The servers were really nice. Each roll you get from the all you can eat section are kind of large. Especially the special rolls come packed with a lot of sauce which kind of fills you up more quickly. The service speed can be a bit moderate to slow. It was not that busy getting here at 6 on a Saturday, so we got seated quickly. Overall not a bad spot. But not sure if it is one I would frequent.

I recently visited Hanami to celebrate a friends birthday. As soon as I arrived there was already a spread of crudo for the table. Our server was so kind and was quick to always check on us and always made sure to keep our orders coming. We tried so much sushi and all of it was amazing. I was impressed by the cuts of fish and the portions. I will definitely be back.

Food was definitely really good. There are a lot of choices, and we couldn't try everything. My wife and I were so hungry that we couldn't stop to take pictures, but it's highly recommended! The service and ambiance were also good. Hands down, the best AYCE in Austin for me after trying three others in the past. Great quality and freshness as well.

Hanami AYCE Sushi is still in their "soft opening" phase but I'm optimistic that they can rise to the top of AYCE sushi places near Austin with some tweaks and improvements. Overall, the quality matches the price and the menu offerings have a good variety but the service and speed can be hit or miss. However, the servers are super friendly, the interior is stunning, and everything was very clean! FAST FACTS: * Parking - a few spots in front of the building but also garage parking nearby with 2 hours of free parking available * Reservations - available online through OpenTable * Online ordering - available for pickup on their website (a la carte only) SERVICE - We arrived at 7:40 pm for an 8:00 pm reservation and were told our table would be available in about 10-15 minutes. We were seated at 8:20 pm (40 minutes after arriving and 20 minutes after our reservation time). Our server was friendly, took our order quickly, and made sure to refill our waters during the meal. Finished plates were cleared from the table efficiently. Non-sushi items came out quickly (gyoza, takoyaki, mini tacos, noodles, etc. took 5-10 minutes after ordering) while sashimi and rolls took much longer (15-20 minutes after ordering). PRICING - The AYCE dinner is $36.95 for adults and includes all of the items on the menu with the exception of some extra charges for additional pieces wagyu, ama ebi, and bluefin tuna beyond the first order. The pricing is incredibly reasonable for the quality of ingredients... especially if you order lots of sashimi or rolls. ORDERING PROCESS - You can order 4 different items per person at a time (mostly due to table space) but multiple pieces of sashimi or nigiri count as a single item. Items come out as they are prepared and ready so I recommend ordering a mixture of appetizers/robata/mini tacos/soup/salad/noodles and sashimi/nigiri/rolls because the sashimi/nigiri/rolls take longer to prepare. FAVORITE ITEMS: * Mini tacos (both the spicy tuna and shrimp were delicious and come on a fried wonton shell) * Volcano roll (it's a lot but the spicy tuna on top with the eel sauce and crunch works well) * Spider roll (if you love soft shell crap, this is for you) * Double shrimp roll (spicy ponzu goes really well with the shrimp) * Ebi nigiri (simple but delicious) * Crab wonton (fried perfectly and super flavorful filling) JUST OKAY ITEMS: * Takoyaki (I love Takoyaki and this was a little too mushy inside) * Gyoza chicken (fried well but not super flavorful) * Yaki udon chicken (good option to order at the beginning if you're super hungry and waiting for sushi rolls) * Unagi sashimi (I love unagi but this was a little too saucy) * Mango tango roll (I enjoy the mango flavor but my husband didn't care for it) * Geisha roll (good mixture of fish but nothing super special) * Mochi ice cream (strawberry was better than the green tea) * Tempura Oreos (delicious but they came out and sat while we finished other items) ITEMS I WOULDN'T ORDER AGAIN: * Baked scallop roll (way too much going on and super messy) * Pineapple beef robata (good char flavor but the beef was tough) This was my first time at Hanami AYCE Sushi and I'll definitely be back to try it again after their soft opening. Compared to other AYCE sushi places, the quality is definitely higher and they have a great variety of menu offerings. If they can get the sushi rolls to come out faster, this will be one of my favorite spots to frequent when I want copious amounts of sushi! (It's worth noting I visited a week after returning from Japan so my standards for sushi were pretty high)

We recently came to try out the newest AYCE sushi spot in town, but overall left desiring more. Our reservation was at 4PM on a Saturday because we didn't want to interfere with the dinner rush hour. The restaurant did not have a ton of customers yet but the overall service was still relatively slow. They might have been understaffed at the time because our waiter was saying how she just started her shift and walked into chaos lol. We ordered a total of 3 different rounds but every time we were finished with one round, we still did not see the waiter and essentially had to flag her down to put in our next order. Again, she was very friendly but I unfortunately expected more from the overall service. As for the food, I think the sashimi and crudo were some of my favorites! The crudo particularly had a tangy and savory sauce that complimented well with the fish. Their version of a taco was also interesting where the taco shell was made from the same ingredient as the crispy wonton strips you put into salads or egg drop soup. That being said, I did not like the batter that they used for the calamari -- it was too thick and didn't feel crispy enough. The beef short ribs (Galbi) had a nice flavor profile but half of the pieces were essentially fatty meat (and this was consistent because we ordered that dish 3 different times). To end on a positive note though, the price point was 5/5! I believe it was about $37/per person for dinner/weekend pricing for AYCE, which wasn't bad at all! Overall, I'd give this restaurant a 3.5/5 when considering all of the factors from above.

A new AYCE sushi joint that does not disappoint! Hanami keeps a high quality selection paired with great customer service. The Damon, yellow fish, tuna, and everything else was made to perfection. I'd also recommend a miso soup and some of the crudo options. Only thing we got that was a 4/5 was the Philly roll due to it having a bit too much cream cheese but aside from that everything was close to perfect! Seating and lighting were nice as you can see in my video. Very clean restaurant as well and the parking situation isn't terrible since there's a garage nearby. Overall a solid 4.5/5 but rounding up to 5 since there wasn't anything that would really make me rate it less than that.

We got sushi in addition to some other things. Galbi was very well flavored and the tonkatsu was good. Our 4 piece unagi took over 25 minutes and we had our server put it in again. To which it finally came out. When it did, it was fabulous and we ordered 8 more. The other items we ordered all came out in a timely manner. The only weird thing is they have a 4 piece limit (e.g. 1 nigiri counts as 1 piece, so 4 nigiri's at a time, finish that. THEN you can order again. Not as big a deal if you order rolls and apps) Aside from the snafu of our unagi taking a long time, we really enjoyed the experience. The salmon and tuna weren't cut too big or small and tasted great.

Hanami AYCE Sushi was such a pleasant surprise! It's a small spot, but don't let the size fool you. The customer service was friendly and attentive! Our severer was name Sapphire ! She was so wonderful! and the sushi was incredibly fresh. Everything we ordered was delicious...from the nigiri and specialty rolls to the appetizers and desserts. The quality was honestly better than I expected for an all-you-can-eat restaurant. We'll definitely be back!

I love the decor in this place! Our party of 5 was seated earlier than our reservation time which was nice because we were already starving upon already after a long drive. The service was shockingly fast! We were amazed at how quickly our dishes came from ordering to the table. The fish was fresh, flavorful and came out with awesome presentation. However, I do have to shave a star for them being out of several items on the menu especially since we came within the hour that they first opened, on a weekend, and on a holiday that we expected they would have everything available in preparation for the business on this day. Also, parking is free in the structure for the first 2 hours. The system was down briefly while we were trying to exit and we were trapped with several cars trying to leave for about 10mins. Then it started working again out of nowhere. So just be wary of that.

This was our first time at Hanami and it was AMAZING! Food was 10/10 and we received wonderful service from Alex. Right from the jump, Alex made sure to ask us for any dietary or allergy restrictions. Which to me is highly important since I'm allergic to avocado. He was attentive and had wonderful customer service! We'll definitely be back because of him and the food. Thank you again Alex! You were the best.

Thankfully, most a very good choices! The fries are great. It's weird to start with that but they really are. Same goes for pretty much any sushi. You'll be able to taste the freshness of the fish. However, avoid the curry and katsu. My katsu can only be described as overdone. The breading tasted nearly burnt dry and banding in the meat (see my photo) shows how it was separating from being cooked too long. The curry is as disappointing as their sister restaurant. It's weak enough that I'd venture I could produce a better curry in bulk. Their menu also changes between lunch and dinner so it's possible other non sushi options are better. So do come here and enjoy the sushi, but don't venture into the other menu items. They'd really shine by focusing on a core menu with less accompanying dishes.

I'd rather have hot food a little late than lukewarm food any day! When we got to karaoke and dug in everything was still hot and delicious.
