I waited 2 hours for this and I'd easily do it again…read more Food: (5/5) This was actually my second time ever having Mike's and I can't seem to get enough. They have the BEST shave ice around. My first time around, I got the lilikoi pog with li hing mui and vanilla ice cream. AMAZING. It was sweet but not too sweet, a little tangy, good portion for 1-2 people, and balanced by the mochi and fresh strawberries. I loved it so much I got it again my second time around just without the vanilla ice cream. If you're getting Mike's for the first time, 100% get this and li hing mui is a must. My cousin got the calamansi mango sago which was also pretty good but not our favorite. The calamansi came thru much stronger than the mango which I liked but know isn't for everyone. The sago and coconut flakes gave it a pleasant earthiness/nuttiness. I probably wouldn't get it again, but I'm still glad we tried it. Service: (5/5) Everything here is made to order so just know that there will be a wait. Even after a supperrrr long line, the team was still really friendly and accommodating. Literally nothing but praise and love for this business.

I thought I was going to get like a small cup of ice cream or a churro or something. That's when I noticed this pretty large line outside this popup called Mike's Shaved Ice - which I thought was odd because none of the other dessert places nearby had any line at all. Was this place really that good that people were willing to wait 20-30 minutes when they could get something else for another place for free? Turns out, yes, it is This might take the cake as the best dessert I've had in Seattle My goodness, this was good I think I've had shaved ice before at some point, and I recently had a snow cone, which is somewhat similar, but nothing could have prepared me for how incredibly good this tasted. I got 3 flavors - pineapple, blue vanilla, and orange dream, and each bite had so much sweet, juicy, just-absolutely-perfect flavor that it was bursting in my mouth. When I took my first bite, I was in awe at how amazing that was. The ice was shaved so thin you couldn't even really feel the individual crystals at all. After taking a bite, it lasts a few second and melts away into your tongue, leaving nothing but that amazing syrup poured on top of the ice. It was truly a magical experience Picture this - you're scooping away, encountering zero resistance at all, and each bite can be one of 3 diverse but incredible flavors. Also, this thing is pretty damn big as well I've gotten this far without even talking about the vanilla ice cream inside. It seemed to normally be a topping, but I got mine inside because reasons? I'm not complaining at all though, because after you get to the ice cream, a lot of the shaved ice is melted, so you're kind of just eating the ice cream with the flavored syrup, which is also a fantastic experience. If I ever get the chance, I would like to try it with the ice cream on top, however This is slightly expensive for ice cream, but well within reason when you see how much you get.

They have pretty typical Korean bakery fare and pricing seems to be just a bit higher than competitors, probably somewhere around a 10% premium compared to similar family owned bakeries. On my visit I got two pastries to try: Soboro Cream ($3.49) - Instead of a delicately crackly cookie crust, this bun has a much softer, almost moist topping, which may be due to them placing the bread in the packaging before being fully cooled off, allowing the bun to steam too much. There's a bunch of sweetened stabilized cream inside that's sweet and oily. The bread itself is kind of dry and crumbly, either not a typical milk bread recipe or perhaps it had been sitting on the shelf for too long. (2/5) Corn Mochi ($5.99) - This comes with six pieces. The corn mochi has a nice chewy tapioca flour base. There's black sesame sprinkled throughout giving a burst of nutty flavor. I expected to see whole corn kernels baked inside but I think they just use corn flour in the dough. It's way less sweet than the soboro. Texturewise, the inside is bouncy while the outside has a harder baked crust. (4/5) Overall Le Bon Patisserie is a pretty average Asian grocery store-paired bakery. It's more of a place to buy bread for convenience rather than anything special, but it does the job decently well.

And…read moreyet I accidentally go back periodically because it's right inside the H Mart complex and because I have the memory span of a goldfish. I am always intensely disappointed with myself for not remembering how much it sucks, especially with 85 Degrees bakery just down the block. My latest foray led me to two loaves of milk bread for $11!!!! WTF? First of all, the two loaves look absolutely different... one is a square, and the other one is more like the milk bread shape. The lady behind the counter assured me they are the same. Spoiler alert: they are not, but they are equally awful. For those of you who knows REAL Japanese milk bread, it is like magic. I f***in' love milk bread... and while I don't use drugs, I imagine the euphoria I feel when I bite into milk bread is similar to a drug high. La Bon's milk bread is literally the worst white bread I have EVER tasted. It's worst than any grocery store brand and tastes like paper mache, wait, no.... I ate paper mache as a kid and this is far far worse. The pure and utter sadness I feel every time I put a piece of that shitty white cardboard into my mouth is worthy of a country western song. And everything else from that place tastes like cardboard. DO NOT GO. Or if you do, just be forewarned.... godspeed.

The staff was friendly. Unfortunately, the place feels cluttered with mix match tables, dirty station right next to cashier, and signages on the windows. I ordered like 6 items, the Fruit Teas drinks are okay. It will much better if they use fresh fruits; drinks taste powdery. Taro Shaved Ice is not like I imagined in my head ~ tasted confusing. Haebing Desserts can be better. There are some potential. Hope it gets better.

I really did enjoy it but I just think there is a lot of potential to be had here. The portion is definitely big and is loaded with tons of fruit, mochi, and a scoop of ice cream. The kicker is that I found myself wishing that it was layered between the ice. If you don't mix it up well, you're pretty much left with only ice which also didn't have that creamy/milky flavor that's usually present in the other bingsus I've had. Overall, would love more condensed milk or flavor to the ice. The counter was being run but two younger people who were both really kind and quick to service the steady stream of customers. It's a pleasant place to hang out and I'm hoping to see what else they have to offer!

I especially enjoyed their new seasonal mango cheesecake bingsu and apple pie toast. They may have the best bingsu texture in town! They use a self-service model for food collection, utensils/water, and bussing dishes - which most diners are good about, but the staff could do a better job with wiping down tables and making sure tables are cleared and utensils are topped up. I was there for over 2 hours and they ran out of metal spoons and paper napkins by the time I went to order a second drink (about an hour in). Aside from this detail, they offer a great third space for folks to hang out in. I saw groups of friends, families, and co-working people come through, and everyone seemed to enjoy their visit.
