    Plant based menu

Great location nestled in the quaint town of Bluffton. Walk in, order and find a seat. Vegans & Plant Based diners rejoice, ask for the menu. We had the Jack Fruit pulled pork. It was good, it would have been fabulous with a side of dairy free slaw and a bottle of different sauces to top it with. Ie: traditional bbq and vinegar based sauce.

My only problem is we did not find this place until we only had 2 days left on vacation. We enjoyed it so much we came back the morning before we left. The location was great and the decor was nostalgic. Drinks are self serve and a good variety (coffee , tea, soda, juice, energy drinks etc). Georgia Pecan coffee was so good - all 4 in my family had both days. We ordered different food on day 1 and 2. Our favorites were the French toast, pancakes and the everything bagel. The pancakes reminded me of funnel cake and my son loved them (got them both days). Service was quick and everyone was super friendly. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and had locals that came in - that in itself should tell you how good this place is! Looking forward to going back next year... prob everyday we are there. Go Dawgs!!

    Really cool the corner side

They use a cheese blend round bun. It really isn't a turkey club. It's more of a turkey sandwich with the fixings of a club. What I did not like at all was the bread. It totally killed the sandwich for me. It left a bad after taste. I can't really explain it. It just wasn't good. The turkey was ok. For the price of the sandwich though, I would have expected more turkey on it. There is a much better option across the street. Try Downtown Deli. It is superior to this establishment. Again, just my opinion. Try it for your self.

The bread they use is similar to an airy pizza crust, and topped with their three blends of cheese that are melted onto the bread before the meats and toppings are added. I've had almost the entire menu over the years, but my favorite is the simple sliced turkey, with lettuce, tomato (which I opt out of sometimes just because I'm not a huge tomato on a sandwich guy, unless it's an actual tomato sandwich...), onion, and then I ask to add their garlic mayo and banana peppers, and sometimes jalapeños. Their turkey club is a second favorite if I'm craving bacon on my sandwich (they also have a jalapeño bacon!). Their other deli sandwiches are great, like the original with a mix of luncheon and other deli meats. I love their lesser known meatball sandwich and cheeseburger. My wife's favorite is the pastrami. The staff at Alvin Ord's are some of the nicest folks I've met in the restaurant industry, and they're always super helpful to new and old customers alike. The vibe of the shop is like a little beachside surf shop, super casual and comfy, with indoor seating at mismatched tables, along with two screened in porches--one that's dog friendly. I can't recommend this place enough. I'd eat here every other day if I could--and that's only because I usually turn my regular sized sandwich into two days of lunch.

The manager was more than just nice - she was warm, friendly, patient, and kind. She was BUSY. Phone calls, long line, deliveries, and she handled them with ease and without a drop of sweat. She was kind to every person she spoke to, including her staff, and I love that leadership. The women who brought out our food and snagged our dishes were also kind, funny, and they just knew how to best make that restaurant sing. People smiled at them because they've come here 100 times, and each time they were treated with kindness and familiarity. The FOOD. The value for dollar is HIGH here. $10.99 for a monster meatball sub with delicious meatballs and plenty of tomato sauce and cheese just melting all over this delicious sandwich. Every cheesy melty bite was amazing, per my kiddo, and when he couldn't finish it, my husband happily finished the sandwich down to the last bite. We got the Philly sandwich on a great gluten free bun and the Power Bowl with shrimp. Both were WONDERFUL! The Philly y'all. ALL DAY. The peppers, the deliciously seasoned beef, the great bun, all fabulous! The Power Bowl was filling, fresh, and I loved all the plump shrimp! I also appreciated that they put the dressing on the side! Cappy's Allergen Friendly Bakery sells their cookies here, and do NOT sleep on the Iced Oatmeal cookie. Some may hesitate because it is soy, dairy, nut, and gluten free, but that may have been one of the best cookies I've eaten ever. Perfectly balanced and chewy, not overiced, and the cinnamon in there was perfect. I savored that cookie for as long as possible. Cap all this off with some unsweet mint tea, and perfection! We will absolutely come here again - I am so impressed by the people and the food, and I cannot wait to see their continued success!

We were seated fairly quickly on this busy Sunday, and met with friendly service. Hubs was starving so he ordered their corn bread muffin app. and fried squash appetizer to get the ball rolling. The muffins were a disappointment because we don't care for sweet leaning cornbread, but that's our taste preference. The fried squash was a home run with almost a tempura type batter over yellow squash spears. They were fried to crispy golden, the batter stayed on, and the buttermilk dressing was a wonderful accompaniment. I could have eaten the plate full for lunch and stopped at that! Their breakfast and brunch menu is extensive, but I settled on their 2 piece Fried Chicken with 3 sides and opted for mashed potatoes, stewed okra and tomatoes & fresh cucumber salad. Delish! Hubs thoroughly enjoyed his fried pork chop, butter beans, mashed potatoes and creamed corn, also. Their Peach cobbler was a perfect end to a yummy meal. No canned peaches used today! Fresh sliced peaches with the perfect amount of cobbler topping served À la Mode was very yummy! The decor is fitting with vintage advertising signs and painted farm animal artwork. We could hear the rooster in the nearby coop and see their crops growing in the distance. A working farm AND a working restaurant all rolled into one. We will return!

Such a great deal for such high quality. There were also other plants and veggies for sale! I cannot say enough amazing things about this place. I will definitely be back!

We were informed there's no pancakes and no waffles. Strike 1. We ordered the crab cake bene, the original shrimp and grits and the French toast with scramble. The French toast was fine. Nothing special. The scramble however was a complete joke. They clearly have a vat of their "side eggs" just ready for the scoopin. They were cold and oh so dry. My sister's crab cake entree was absolutely disgusting. The crab cake was orange on the inside, it was mushy and no discernible taste of crab whatsoever. It looked like a dark brown salmon patty my mama would make with a Double Q. The shrimp and grits. Wow and not in a good way. 50 percent of the bowl was onions. Both raw (and almost raw) onions and green onions. There were FOUR shrimp that were absolutely TINY (about the size of a Wild West shrimp from Longhorn) and they had the poop STILL IN THEM. Did I mention that this cost us ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS!?!?!? I want to stress again.... Our server was great. I always feel guilty writing bad reviews but I just had to be honest. Seems a bit out of order but ok. Then we wait. And get a Caesar salad. And advise - not ours. While waiting we hear the server next to us announce the specials - which our server did NOT inform us of as we arrived. My wife would have ordered different. Finally her salad arrives and we eat. My shrimp and grits were sparse on shrimp and were made with mushrooms and reminded me of ingredients found in an omelet. Not a typical flavor. I finished most but not all of it. Just a bit weird. And that 1/2 a biscuits? A lump of flavorless starch. Our server was nice but seems she wasn't as seasoned as other servers nearby. She should inform everyone of the specials. Ask your server if there are specials. Our cocktails were the best part of our meal. And the prices? That bowl of shrimp and grits, along with my simple side salad were a whopping $23. My wife's salad was comparably priced. The dogs split their bowl, which was $10 just a bit much but they did bring us a bowl of water. All-in-all average food, a bit cramped for seating, over priced and a server that needed to up her game.
