This is our go-to spot for breakfast and brunch on the island. It's simply fantastic with an expansive menu with daily specials. The food is always consistent with excellent portion size and the service is always impeccable. A few must try's are: Cinnamon Roll, Low Country Seafood Omelette, their biscuits, their spicy sausage and more. While we love all the servers we've had there. Tweety has become our personal favorite. He's super personable and engaging and just a fun person to interact with. This place gets my highest recommendation! read more

DO NOT USE THE DOG MENU!! I ordered off the dog menu for my small dog and ended up in the emergency animal hospital that same night. The food came back cooked on a dirty, greasy grill with salt, pepper flakes, and oil. All of this is toxic to dogs. My dog was severely dehydrated and had to stay overnight. The vet bill was over $2,000. The chefs here have zero training on what dogs can and cannot eat. If you have a small dog, please do not order from this menu. Nectar, it was a bleak experience for their thanksgiving dinner plan. Had a reservation for 5:00pm. At 5 pm, nectar is out of prime rib. By, 5:30pm nectar is out of turkey. Nectar is still seating people with the menu disappearing each minute. By 7:00pm, Nectar has one appetizer out of six choices left. My combination white dark turkey meal had no white meat. My wife's turkey meal luckily had a little of both so she gave me a couple of small slices. Both turkey dinners had no gravy. Her salad had heated tomatoes, not blistered so they were extra mushy. The sweet potato dressing and the mashed potatoes were very good and slightly warm. Unfortunately, all the rest of the food was cold. At Dessert time, no apple clobber was left. My pumpkin bread pudding I had ordered was also gone, so I had the chocolate cake as the last available dessert option. When we left at 7:00pm Nectar was still seating people. I have no idea what they were going to eat. It was an extremely expensive meal with many missing food options available at 5:00pm and getting more limited as the time pasted. We have eaten at Nectar for breakfast and lunch over the years, so we expected good food. Nectar's thanksgiving menu was a disaster and absolutely awful. The service staff was good and tried to make it less of an abysmal evening. We have enjoyed Nectar in the past, but were really disappointed with the Thanksgiving meal. Planning was poor. read more

Atmosphere was very peaceful and breezy sitting outside on the patio. The food was the best breakfast we've eaten in Hilton Head. Chicken and waffles, low country sea omelette, southern breakfast and po-boy oyster sandwich were outstanding! The coffee and the honey latte ice/hot were delicious. I visited Nectar on 10/20/25 and it was a very pleasant experience. We sat at the bar and enjoyed brunch. The bar area is really cute, clean and aesthetically pleasing. Southern charm comes to mind when I recount this experience. We got huevos rancheros, duck hash, kids pancakes and a sticky bun. Recommended - the kid pancake was giant. My son loved it. It was the size of a pizza pie and he ate most of it (he is 4). We also got a sticky bun which was much bigger than expected. My daughter is a picky eater and this one she approved it. The huevos rancheros were ok. I didn't love them. There was too much salt and too much spice that didn't blend well and they used lentils that literally drowned any texture and flavor from the rest of the dish. Interesting concept but I didn't like it. They hubby got the duck hash which would have been better with regular instead of sweet potatoes. The place is charming. There is seating inside and outside. There are also TVs, where we watched some tennis. Service was good. Overall, they seem to do the sweet dishes well and aren't as greasy on others. The place has a nice space and warm southern vibes. Of all of the places to tryin in Hilton Head, I'm glad we gave Nectar a shot. The food was delicious and the portions were enormous. Its not all about quantity, its got to taste good too... They hit all the marks here. I ordered a pork schnitzel which was more of a southern version. I got it with mashed potato and collard greens. I honestly think I made a poor choice. The pork schnitzel was good, but not great- I think if I got something a little more traditional I would have enjoyed it more. That said, the portion was generous and the sides were great. As far as pork schnitzels go though, it was pretty average. However, my wife got a smothered pulled pork bowl and let me tell you, if you are looking for southern flavor without all the "fried", go for it. The pork was crisped up and it was smothered in a pepper gravy and it was very forward on the pepper. It was fantastic- wish I ordered it... We got a side (basically a mountain) of fried brussels sprouts and a tomato hand pie as an appetizer. Hand pie was decent, worth trying, but wouldn't get again. It was just okay. Nothing amazing to write home about. The brussels sprouts damn near killed us. The oil from them being fried and the hot pepper flakes turned into chili oil in the bowl and the bursts of flavor from the sprouts can hit the back of your throat, so be warned there.. It was a portion and a half though. Definitely a sharable size among 3-4 people. If you eat these with one other person you may have a little bit of an upset stomach, so much oil. All of that said, I would come back here. I thought overall it was very pleasant. The service could have been a little better and food choices could have been a little different but that part is on us. read more

The place was clean and nice, great atmosphere- we had high hopes. The she crab soup had too much sherry, the warm spinach salad was not warm. The flounder did not seem like flounder- the flake was different and it was extremely thick. George was gracious enough to let me order something else with no qualms. My husband had the braised short rib and also questioned to ourselves whether it was short rib or pot roast. I order the portabella schnitzel instead and the sauce was weird and spicy. The table shared fried green tomatoes. Not the worst we've had, but just meh. My she crab soup was filled with crab and took the chill off a cloudy day. My shrimp burger was pretty good, but it had too much sauce on it--the kitchen should go lighter on that! My friend enjoyed her chicken pot pie soup with biscuit crumbles. Instead I had Deviled Crab Benedict. Our server suggested I have the hot sauce on the side. That was good because I only dipped the ends of my fork times in the hot sauce and it was more than enough heat for every other bite. My wife had the fried chicken and waffle. An incredibly bizarre service experience. I asked for eggs with cheese. After a very long wait my food finally came and my eggs weren't made with cheese. The server's solution was to give me two cold slices of American cheese on my plate, and then acted offended when I looked at her like she was nuts. We heard really good things about this restaurant and decided to try it for breakfast. I started with a salted caramel nitro cold brew and my partner got a espresso martini. Both were really good. I'd recommend for the nitro cold brew to mix it up just to make sure all the flavor profiles get incorporated into the drink. We then decided to split two different entrées. One was the cinnamon roll and the other was the chicken biscuits and gravy. The cinnamon roll was absolutely delicious and melting your mouth and we even had more than enough left over to have a snack later in the day the chicken and biscuits were also really good. I just needed more gravy to go with it so definitely ask for extra sauce if you get this entrée, the staff was a little slow, but they also only had one waitress to help out outside so hopefully in the next time we go, they can have a little bit more help to attend to the guest. read more

First visit here since they relocated. One of the best burgers I ever experienced was at their Bluffton location and I was anxious to try the new place. I ordered the fried bologna sandwich because it is a rare menu find and probably some leftover nostalgia from a place I used to go in Wando, Ohio. It was served with some fried potatoes that were cut a little differently than what you usually see. The sandwich and fries were good but diminished by the lukewarm temperature of the food. After reading other reviews I was looking forward to experiencing Nectar. We had reservations and arrived on time. We were seated immediately on the patio, which was cute. At night the patio is downright adorable. It took quite some time before we were asked for our drink order and an even longer amount of time to receive our drinks, which were two draft beers and a bottle of wine so nothing labor intensive. We couldn't help but notice that other tables seated at the same time were now receiving appetizers. The artisanal food plate was elegantly decorated and absolutely delicious, the star of the night. The hush puppies were overcooked, but the deviled eggs were delightful. My fried chicken was hot and flavorful, but dear god, 3X more breading than I would enjoy. My buddies fish meal was cold, but after waiting an hour and a half to eat, she opted to send the meal back and not wait for a replacement. They didn't charge her for the meal, which I appreciated. I should add the restaurant wasn't packed, but they could have been short staffed. I would recommend Nectar for drinks and appetizers at the bar, but I cannot recommend dinner. read more

Decided here for breakfast due to reviews I've seen and some social media videos. We were seated immediately, luckily as this was a Saturday morning. The fleet came in right behind us so we were lucky. Our waitress was very attentive. We ordered drinks and then food second time around. Food came out fairly quickly. Everything was really good. The eggs were a bit on the thick side. I can't explain it lol. But it didn't give a cracked scrambled egg as I saw no egg white. I'm not a fan of that. The hash browns were pretty good. And the bacon was great. Thick cut. I did taste the grits which had cheese added and they were great. Didn't have to add a thing. I was told the ham was delicious and flavorful.
