I'm not sure how this place stays in business. I really want to love it but it's never open, very often little hand written notes are letting customers know that they have different hours now. I like the fact they have vegetarian choices in their menu of food. Not sure if their coffee is organic anymore and they don't use organic milk either. The inside now looks more like a storage room with a coffee bar on the side ... too bad! Went here for late breakfast, place is bit hidden it's behind the flower shop, flower shop lady was sweet, she let us through the shop. My kid wanted to have croissant with turkey breakfast and we wanted croissant with coffee, but they were out of croissant , so girl behind the counter suggested she can do it on flat bread, I was bit skeptical as my son usually likes only croissant but he liked it very much and on our way back home he told, when we go there next time I want to have exact same, was surprised. Great local coffee shop! I love the convenience in our neighborhoods. The guy running the place he always been the same guy and he is always friendly and helpful. They have all your normal coffee shop basics from drip, latte, espresso. They also have a lot of other nice options. The tea selection is really varied I would say probably 20+ options. They also have Bluebell ice cream and shaved ice for the kiddos on a hot summer day. The space inside is nice. Small and simple. A couch area and then a few high top table options. I think a good hideout for those days you want to work from home vs. fighting the Austin traffic hordes! Takes credit card and the prices are very comparable. I like the coffee and like supporting small local businesses. Check it out! Quick tip: it is hard to see but jump out the car and walk around the front building as they are likely open. read more

You ever have one of those places that you don't want anyone to know about because it's special to you. That's sips for me. I love going there. There's about 4 tables inside and about 5 sitting areas outside. I love to sit v grab a latte and work. It's off the beaten path. Their food is amazing. They make a mean/tasty frozen/blended thingy...she gave me one thumb up...the other thumb was busy keeping her drink out of my hot little hands. Actually decided to test my taste waters here and tried decaf espresso and coffee. Supposed to be getting off caffeine but that makes me want it even more. This place has a website boasting their decaf and it's Vietnamese technique so it seemed like the place to lick it up. I went for a coffee latte and single shog. Not exactly the same, but still 6/7ths satisfying. Compared to coffee. Creamy and earthy, just not acidic enough for my taste. I discovered Sips on Yelp and decided to stop by. Though I initially almost missed it as it is tucked away behind businesses and a gas station, I am so glad I found it. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is incredibly friendly and cozy. There is a large range of seating possibilities making this the perfect place to come and study or the perfect place to meet up with friends. This place is tucked away behind a gas station but worth the hunt. I go running regularly at brushy creek and for some reason smoothie places aren't anywhere to be found around the trail. Once I saw this place made smoothies and was just around the corner, I gave it a try and was very pleased! I've been back twice and brought my running partner with me - and was glad to have her agree that these smoothies are great! I've ordered the berry smoothie and a strawberry smoothie (sometimes the strawberry is available, other times its already pre-mixed with banana for the strawberry-banana smoothie). My running buddy ordered a butternut squash and mango and we both left happy and healthy. They use fresh fruit (I watched!) and good quality juices to make your smoothie. This is my second time to Sips and my second time to be disappointed. Today I ordered a vanilla iced coffee with cream and sugar, sent my coworker and they came back with my coffee and it was straight iced coffee. Nothing added. The outside of the cup says "vanilla". Luckily we have cream and sugar here, so I added it myself. It wouldn't have been a big deal if I didn't have another issue with them. We came to Sips a few weeks ago and ordered a hot chocolate for a coworker who can't drink coffee. We got it back, and even though it was written as hot chocolate on the cup, it was obviously straight black coffee. We tried it and confirmed it was coffee and not hot chocolate. Bummer. I don't want to lower the stars more than 4, because the coffee is good and the employees are friendly, but I don't think we will order coffee from Sips again. read more

Need a quiet place to get some work or studying done in Round Rock? Look no farther. Quiet music, good coffee, comfortable seating and excellent wifi (124 Mbps up and 24.9 Mbps down as measure on Speedtest). First time here but I had my usual which is brewed coffee with 2 shots (a Blackeye at Starbucks) and cream; the coffee was hot and the tast is good, smooth with good flavor. Actual coffee cups here, not poaper. Really nice staff who seem to like working here. This will be my new go-to coffee polace even though it's a bit out of the way. To give you a general idea, it's about 10 minutes from Ikea or 12 minutes from downtown Round Rock. I'll happily drive that distance for a peaceful, friendly place to work. read more

Sips, aesthetically, is phenomenal. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is "off the beaten path", but in my opinion this only adds to the unique and calming environment it succeeds in creating. Calming music, mellow decor, and quaint spaces at Sips pair well with the homemade drinks, sandwiches, and more. My only issue, which I don't think is worth getting remotely upset over, is that hours can be a tad unreliable, and I'd say I'm actually at Sips around a quarter or a sixth of the times I try to go here. This is not to critique having early or 'unusual' hours, moreover that they should be reflected on the business' website, Yelp, or front door--at or past 3, they typically haven't been open. Although the sandwiches are delicious, homemade, and prepared from fresh Boar's Head deli ingredients, they can sometimes be a bit overwhelming to actually eat. I've noticed the bread that holds the sandwiches together can often behave more like croutons in a chopped salad than something to hold the sandwich together--Sips' sandwiches are often hard to enjoy, or even eat, without a fork and a hefty load of napkins. My dirty chai latte was and has been phenomenal the times I have been here, definitely the best I've had from a variety of coffee shops. Definitely spring for the extra dollar in making it 'dirty'. Overall, definitely pay Sips a visit, and I can only hope they keep doing what they're doing! read more

The only thing I could think of to describe their chai tea is that it tastes like a holiday. It's different from the one at Starbucks because the gingerbread/cinnamon taste is much stronger. It definitely tastes like something you would drink by a fire on Christmas. We were really surprised by the turkey and cheese croissant. There was layers of seasoned turkey meat in it and a generous amount of melted cheese. It was a fulfilling lunch for us for a super affordable price. The only thing I would change is that the rice chicha drink doesn't have a lot of cinnamon or spices in it compared to the chai tea. I almost wanted to pour some of my chai tea into it lol read more
