I have to admit with hand washes, they can be shaky and not do a good job but this place blew me away. At first I was going to get the regular wash but decided to get the Foam wash. I wouldve given them half a star. As a business that provides a service, not only is quality of service paramount, but so is the communication with customers. I can not speak on the any of their services other than window tinting. Let me first say this, I am still standing in the shop as i write this. I came to have two windows tinted. My car has been at the shop for more than 3 hours and its still not done. Only problem with that is that it was never communicated to me that it would take this long. That is unless you like being treated unprofessionally and enjoy dealing with people who have no respect for your time, in which case, please by all means use them. I had the misfortune of buying an Amazon Local Deal to have my vehicle detailed in May of 2012. I purchased two vouchers. It took two months to get them to come do the first cleaning. After they arrived 2 1/2 hours late without so much as a call to indicate as much, they did a reasonably good job, though it was less then you'd expect from such a service. I did, however, give them a $20 tip...call me silly I guess. Since then (5 months), after numerous calls to them and listening to a myriad of excuses (having to hire employees, no longer providing the service on the weekdays, no appointments available in Virginia on weekends for a while, ...) they finally scheduled me for Saturday, December 8th at 10am. I waited until 10:45am for them to arrive and when they hadn't, I called. I got the owner/manager on the phone who tells me that they aren't coming. He says I need to check with Amazon Local to make sure my voucher is valid! WHAT!?!? I will never use this outfit again for anything!! P.S. I would have rated this ZERO stars but ONE is the minimum I could select. read more

I have been coming here for years when I want quality work. My first car was tinted with a 30% tint which I didn't know was an option until I came here. The tint was clear with no glare or bubbles in the windows. I've also used the car detailing for a vehicle I purchased from a dog owner. The carpet and seats were thoroughly cleaned and I felt comfortable with the cleaning products used on my seats. The service is always accurate and worth the price. The owner gives calls to remind you of the appointment time and finalize the appointment. Walk-ins are welcome as well. There is a television, complimentary water, and vending machine for the waiting area. I would not complain about the lenght of time spent in the waiting area because i've never left with sub-par work. read more

I bought a window tinting (three or five window tinting, I chose the 5-window option) voucher on Amazon Local, and was excited because of the discount (I paid 100 dollars for 5 windows, which normally costs 300+ dollars). I was very diappointed upon calling the company, in learning that my 2008 Nissan Versa was, to them, considered an SUV. I don't feel like going into EPA definitions of an SUV, or even wikipedia definitions for that matter, but, this company wanted to charge an ADDITIONAL 105 dollars (on top of the voucher that I already had, worth 300+ dollars) because my car is apparently an SUV to them. While I understand the painstaking process window tinting is (I've done it myself in the past), their definition of an SUV should have been more clear. But actually, calling a Nissan Versa an SUV is just outright obsurd and stupid. Sorry Sir-Wax-A-Nothin', Maybe in the next generation of better business. read more

I love Sir-Wax-A lot detail shop. My husband has been coming here for years so now that I have my first S550 I too bring my baby here only for their superior care. I've read the other reviews and find that my experience is head over heels to theirs. The wait was comesurate to services provided. They use top of the line products. I've even found out that the dealership had used a cover up to mask a few imperfections on my baby and Oliver, the owner, went to bat for me with the dealer. The dealer took care of fixing her correctly at no charge to me. As for window tinting they did an excellent job with no flaws on my 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5SL. I've not ever used a home calling carwash service so I have no info on that but that may be a defunct service everywhere with the cost of gas and horrible DMV traffic nowadays. Overall they get five gorgeous stars from me. I visit them weekly as my husband brings his car too! Faithful customers who urge folks to definitely give this business a go! read more

Worst most condescendingly rude customer service this past Tuesday 11/5. Visiting my mom (a frequent Sir Wax A lot customer) for the afternoon, I decided to drop off my 2018 Nissan Rogue for detailing. Arrived around 1pm - no other car was in line. Told the team what I'd like to have done (full detailing). I was told that I'd have to leave the car for a few hours. I told them I'd be able to leave the car for about an hour and a half. The team informed me that wasn't enough time for a full detail but they'd be able to wash the car, vacuum the inside and wipe down the dash. I told them that was fine. I'd do that today and come back another day for full detailing when I had more time to spare. I handed them my key fob, informed them that I'd be running to the grocery store (Wegmans) and be back in about an hour. When I returned, Oliver the GM greeted me and informed me that his team "didn't know where I was" and they were only able to wash the outside of my vehicle because the inside was "too bad". That it would require shampooing etc etc. and that he'd charge me $35 for them washing the outside. I asked him how much it would cost for full detailing and he said $65. I also asked how long this would take and he said "the same amount of time as we had the car today". In a rush to make the 1.5hr drive to get home before my son got out of school, I paid the $35 and told him I'd come back another day for full detailing. On the ride home, I felt really unsettled. So I called Oliver to get some clarity on why I was just charged $35 for them to just wash the outside of the car (no vacuuming the interior etc). Full detailing is what I originally requested and was prepared to pay for...but told his team wouldn't have enough time. Only to find out from Oliver that they would have had time to do this. Long story shorter, Oliver was one of the rudest GMs I've ever encountered. He did everything possible to avoid accepting blame for the miscommunication from his team. - told me the team probably assumed I was a repeat customer (how is this my fault or made my issue?) - told me I should have called to check in while I was at the grocery store... - that it's their policy for customers to leave a contact #. My mom's been a customer for years and never been asked to leave her number...and I wasn't asked to leave a number either... - told me it was a lack of communication on my part and his (I refuse to accept that when I told them what I wanted to have done, how much time I had and that I'd be stepping away while they finished the job) To add insult to injury, after patronizingly /sarcastically telling me that it's all his fault...Oliver just hung up on me. With no resolution or anything. Just hung up. Honestly, all I was really hoping for was a quick "I'm sorry for your experience and the miscommunication on our end...how can we make this right?" I'm guessing business is that steady for them to treat customers this poorly. Especially referral customers. Never returning. read more

Horrible!!!! After waiting in line behind other vehicles to get my vehicle wash on April 16th 2016 for over 45 minutes. An individual comes out of the establishment and tells to me " we are closed " and you have to leave. This is after two other individuals came out and stated that I was the last vehicle in line. This person that told me to leave without even asking me anything, turns out to be the owner. Definitely not how you do business, definitely not good customer service at all. I stumbled upon this place by accident while having a tire repaired. I liked the fact that the cars were hand washed as opposed to being driven through an automated washer. Wow! What a difference the hand washing made! They took their time and were meticulous with the cleaning inside and out. This is my new favorite car wash. The owner/manager was incredibly professional, helpful and friendly and the staff was VERY thorough with my car- it looked great when it was done. Despite the fact that mine was the only non-luxury car there at the time AND I was using an AmazonLocal discount voucher they still treated me like a VIP. The Owner of the establishment is a very nice Man. However he could learn a lot in customer service and customer satisfaction. I got my car detailed and tinted 3 weeks ago. There was wax still left on my car and all of my windows had bubbles in the tint. I was finally able to take my car back there today 5/29/30 to get the back windwo re-tinted as well as the other windows. Only the back window was redone and the tint STILL had hair on it. The other windows were not re-tinted like I thought they were going to be after I pointed this out to Mr. Oliver. Funny thing is, is how he talked about Car Source, how HE put down another business. The ONLY reason I didn't go back to Car Source which is an A+ establshiment is becaus of a miscommunication with trying to make an appointment. The first rule of business is to NEVER put another business down. Karma will come back and bite you in the behind. I wouldn't take my dog there to be washed. Do not waste your time or your money.
