We were the quintessential tourist looking for indian food on a weekend. I am not a big fan of the name of the restaurant. It gives me a whole lot of fusion vibe. But that was open and so we tried. The food is not bad. However, I ordered takeout once, and there was a piece of BROKEN PLATE inside of a piece of chicken. On top of that, the chicken was the wrong order. I had ordered chili chicken, but they sent me chicken 65. Obviously, I could not see the broken plate and bit into it. This broke off 1/3 of my molar, and I had to pay hundreds to repair this tooth. I called them, and they redirected me to text in order to resolve the issue due to a language barrier. Then, they stopped responding! This is completely unacceptable, as they refused to accept responsibility for this or even reimburse me for my meal or dental operation. I have ordered enough food from them to probably fund them enough to repay my dentist, so it's disappointing they wouldn't show a loyal customer like me any courtesy. Probably the most authentic Indian restaurant you can find near downtown. I always thought Chicago didn't have good Indian restaurants when I bumped on this on uber eats. Have tried their Chicken Dum Biriyani and Paneer butter masala. Trust me it's the best thing which will happen to you. According to me anyone who can get the taste of Paneer Butter masala can make anything. Very underrated in yelp reviews. Came here for the lunch buffet on a friday. Seeing that this new spot had just opened up and had positive reviews, I chose this place over going to any of the other usual Indian Lunch buffet choices like Chicago Curry House. I also was really excited by the idea that they might have South Indian food. Before coming, I called to make sure they would have South Indian food in the buffet, to which I got a rather rude and snarky response back with the owner saying, "We're a South Indian restaurant, of course we do!" So to my dismay, when I got there, there was no South Indian food except for some sambar in the buffet. I don't really want sambar if there's no idli or dosai with it.. Also, the variety was extremely underwhelming. As a vegetarian, I had about 4 choices of dishes. If I'm paying $12.99 + tax, I expect a bit more than just cold spinach dahl, chana masala and a vegetable jalfrezi with extremely chewy paneer. All other buffet places serve fresh naan to your table but this place had cold naan at the buffet you had to take. All the dishes were also quite cold and so I only really ate the vegetable jalfrezi which came out fresh a couple minutes after i got there. There were no starters, 2 desserts, and a small selection of mains. Not worth $12.99. Take the extra trip to Chicago Curry House if you're craving Indian because this place won't satisfying any craving. Also, it was VERY, VERY cold. The few people in the restaurants had their winter jackets on and were very evidently shivering. The place didn't have any warm food to warm you up as you ate either. The quality and flavor of the food from this restaurant is outstanding. Up until yesterday, I'd accepted that Chicago for whatever reason, just didn't have affordable yet tasty Indian food. I just moved here last year and had tried about 7 or 8 other similarly themed restaurants that were for the most part pretty damn disappointing. I can't speak for the dining experience itself but as long as they'd be able to offer me the same flavors I got yesterday - I'd require little else. Just one issue - where is the raita?! Maybe you guys forgot to put it up on the Yelp/Grubhub menu or I'm absolutely blind but an Indian meal isn't complete (imo) without raita. This is my only complaint. We ordered Chicken biryani and the chicken Schezwan rice and veg samosas. The veg samosas were very authentic and tasted great. The chicken biryani was also very authentic Hyderabadi style. Great job in those. They were a little stingy in giving the Raita with the biryani. The Schezwan chicken rice could have been better though. All in all, food was quite good. While I don't usually like buffets, this one is interesting and when I was there on the weekend, extremely popular -- so on the plus side, fresh / high turnover for the good selection of dishes (e.g. egg curry, tandoori chicken, and a bunch of dishes that I've never had before...), on the minus side, some of the more popular things disappeared immediately as they brought them out (e.g. naan) and there was a line for the rather cramped buffet at all times. read more

We've ordered delivery from here twice. Both meals were great! We've tried the Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Vindaloo, and Dal Makhani -- all were extremely flavorful. Heat level has ranged from medium-to-hot (mildest being the masala). Portions were appropriate and we had enough for leftovers each time. All entrees came with rice. In addition, we've tried the samosas and a couple naans. The samosas were good, but I didn't enjoy the yogurt-based sauces they came with (missed having a green or tamarind chutney). If you like garlic, get the garlic naan. Otherwise, stick to plain -- the entrees are flavorful and rich enough. Overall, I highly recommend Siri and will continue to order from here! read more

I have also gotten a few of their entrees such as; Chicken Tikka Masala, Dosa, and Dal Makhani. Great place to satisfy your cravings quick and for a reasonable price. Really good Indian food! We were there for a late lunch but were able to order from the menu (something my partner prefers). They are happy to customize the spice level for you, with the friendly warning that "It is Indian hot!" Samosas were piping hot and seasoned perfectly. Disappointed. Many of my friends have been here and have said it's a very good place. However, I was very let down at their service and somewhat at their food. My family and I went and ordered the chicken biryani, vindaloo chicken, dosa, and chicken reshmi Kabob. First off, the chicken kabobs were very pale and hard, it was not properly cooked at all. The food initially came out one by one after 1 hr of waiting for the food. The first dish came, and then took a total of 1 hr and 45 minutes for our whole order to arrive at the table. During the wait, my mother had called for the waiter multiple times to get an update on the order, and each time she was ignored and never tended too. Ordered take-out for the family and everything was amazing. We got two veggie samosas - perfectly fried and seasoned. We all loved the chicken makhani (butter chicken) - the kids too! I been to the so so called "chat night" on a Thursday evening and the food was terrible. The paani was very sweet, they were giving aloo bonda and called it aloo tikki chat. Instead of ragda they put in a watered down version of channa masala. It's a shame they call it chat. The samosa was hard and the bhel puri was some soggy shit. Keep away from this obnoxious food.
