We dined at this Sirloin Stockade location a few years ago as part of a roadtrip. After a very long all day driving from Mansfield, Ohio to Murray, we were very hungry and we wanted BUFFET! I looked through the phonebook at the motel and found a listing for Sirloin Stockade. Sirloin Stockade it was, for dinner, which is an all you can eat steak buffet with good prices. The buffet offers a wide array of food to satisfy everyone's palette including hot bars, salad bar, and desserts. The buffet offers items such as hot vegetables, stuffing, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, fried chicken wings, roasted chicken, carved meats, pizza, fish, meatballs, spaghetti, sliced sausages, soups, salads, fruit, cakes, cobbler, pudding, ice cream, and many more. We had our fill at the buffet and we made several trips. The steaks were grilled to our liking. The waitress left us clean plates before we went up and refilled our sodas several times. We were very full and satisfied with the meal. It was time to relax and go to bed because we had another long day ahead of us. Let me start by saying I'm not personally a fan of buffet restaurants. This one is worth going to though. There are so many selections. With Covid they have made it cafeteria style. I like that. As with any steakhouse, they also have a vast amount of food you can order directly. It is good, hot and prompt. Definitely worth going to. read more

Never been here before but passing through so thought we grab a slab of beef. Was a Friday night which means seafood buffet here on buffet. We ordered a 8 oz sirloin and a ribeye with twice baked potatoes and a baked potato. We both got the salad and buffet bar. Steaks were on point. Twice baked potatoes were tasteless. Baked potato was way over cooked to point from skin in about 1/2 inch was hard. Salad bar was good. The hot bar was ok if you like every thing that taste like the grease it came from all breading from chicken frog legs and shrimp were soggy like they been cooked earlier and sitting under warmer. The food was great but the service is unparalleled. You never are wanting for anything whether a refill or the manager coming by to offer you coffee or dessert. Yes it's a buffet but the serving staff is what makes it special. Unfortunately had an unpleasant experience for my first time at this restaurant. When signing up for the E club, we were supposed to revive a free buffet for my birthday. The email for the coupon was never sent and we explained this to the manager. He simply didn't care and walked off without resolving the issue. First time to eat here today with church group. I was very impressed, we all had the buffet & although I don't normally like buffets , this was very good . Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. We drove over an hr to have a special lunch with a former church member that moved to Murray with her daughter. I will definitely be back . The servers were polite & we never had an empty glass . I gave 5 stars even though it is just a buffet and not a top notch upper class dining experience. But the taste of every single item is so delectable, fresh, and full bodied that I got pleasantly surprised to find out that I am actually in Murray, KY and not in NYC or DC where most famous chefs are able to cook ordinary food with so delicious taste. I love this restaurant, BUT.......I have come here many times for the salad bar because of the great variety. Recently they decided to add the Spring Mix lettuce to the iceberg lettuce. It is a salad bar so you should get to decide for yourself what kind of lettuce you want. Do not tell me about the health benefits. That is MY decision and I do NOT like spring mix. In addition to that it literally chokes my husband. He had radiation treatment for cancer and has a swallowing problem and it hangs up in his throat. If you want to give people a choice put it on the salad bar as a separate choice like you do with the spinach! I am lowering my rating one star because of this. read more

It's an affordable option for college students seeking a filling meal. I'd go as far as to call it the best bang-for-your-buck meal option in town. Also, they serve the best cornbread I've had in my life to date. The primary reason for Sirloin Stockade's loss of a star is the owner's hosting of now-Gov. Matt Bevin's campaign event last cycle. Not what i remember this place to be... A very good salad bar but the buffet was lacking .. Fish, for example, was breaded but not seasoned, very blah.. The corn cobs had zero taste and likely frozen to start.. The ham wasnt country ham but was salty... The polish sausage lacked crunch and just didnt have it.. Just not alot going on.. The locals eat here. The items on the salad bar are fresh and the items on the food bar are both hot and fresh. You can also order from the menu and I have found that to be excellent as well. If you want to conserve your money, try the hamburger. They tell me it's made from sirloin steak and I consider it to be a particularly good value.
