Located inside the B-V Shopping Center is an unassuming bakery serving up delicious, savory, Armenian baked goods. First noticed it when picking up Korean BBQ yesterday. Decided to stop by and pick up dinner for the family here tonight. Ajarski $5.00 Beef Beorek $2.50 Cheese Beorek $1.50 Lahmajune $0.90!! The Ajarski is a bread boat filled with cheese and topped with two eggs near the end of baking. Eggs come runny but can be requested cooked through. A great dish and a meal in itself. My first time trying it. Baked fresh when you order it and takes about 30 minutes. They let me know I could call ahead next time. Beef Beorek resembles a calzone. It's stuffed with seasoned ground beef. Simple, well prepared. Cheese Beorek is like a smaller Ajarski without the egg. Lahmajune is the Armenian pizza. Flat bread that bears a resemblance to the Mexican flour tortilla topped with seasoned ground beef. For what you get, this is a real bargain. Fed four adults for $23 and still had leftovers. Fast, personable service. Great food for the price. Cash only and parking can be limited and tight. I have never had a problem finding a spot though. Will definitely call ahead next time. read more

OH. MY. GOODNESS!! I've been eating boreg and lahmajun all my life, and these are the BEST I've ever had. Also super fairly priced! My mom just brought some home, and we both devoured them. Yuuuuuum. This place is a great place to have a cheese boat also now as ajarski. The staff, especially the lady at the register is super nice super friendly. I've tried almost everything on the menu and everything from cheese borek which is a special white cheese in a special dough made by them shaped like a triangle to Armenian pizza known as lamajun which is meat and other herbs on a thin bread.. Deliciousness!!!! I've attached the menu (with pictures) for reference because I'm not Armenian so it could be hard to order if you don't know what they have to offer. Definitely get the Ajarski it's a bread pastry that has egg and cheese on top freshly made and needs preordering (so just call 20 minutes before you get there to pick it up) this is by far my favorite it was so heavenly that I regretted I had to share it haha! Next definitely get the spicy cheese it's not that spicy but gives a good tangy feeling. The lahmejune which is meat with spices pastry is soooooo good and available ready to pick up no preorder required and I'd say get one per person because it's so thin. They also have a cheese puff pastry compared to everything else this was just okay but still pretty good. The place is small no seating. read more

If you have never had an Ajarski you don't know what you're missing out on. You have to call 30 mins in advance to order them but you'll seriously be craving them after just one try...just a perfect little self-contained breakfast! They offer a variety of other freshly baked breads, some plain and other stuffed with meats, cheeses or veggies. Definitely has a very authentic feel and flavor which makes it super legit! Sis has the best meat pies in town! My boyfriend introduced me to this little gem last year to grab some lahmajun's. I came back myself just for their friendly service. Today, 11/30/17 was my first experience with Armenian bakery dishes, and what a WONDERFUL way to be introduced. I'd passed by Sis Bakery for months, noticing the pictures of their goods as I drove by, which piqued my interest. Today was the day I'd go in. I was greeted with a warm smile by Amy, and she kindly answered all my questions with patience. She'd asked if this was my first time, to which it was. I ordered the spicy cheese beorek, which she warmed up for me. While I waited, she surprised me with a sausage maneishe, which was delicious and like a pizza, only lighter and not greasy. Their beorek was just wonderful, like comfort food, but not heavy. I noted that they bake everything daily, and I have to say, Amy was just so sweet to generously introduce me to sample more than I ordered. THAT simple, sweet act of kindness just made my day. I read here that this is a family owned small bakery, and guess what? I will be a loyal customer and can't wait to come back. I am bringing others as well. I can't believe how inexpensive their goods are. They DON'T taste inexpensive. They're fresh and delightful. I can't wait to try the Ajarski, a bread boat filled with cheese, egg or other items which is made to order!!!! It looks divine! I am SO HAPPY I came by Sis Bakery today. I was going to get from snacks from C.K. Chinese Bakery next door to Sis Bakery and found out from the kids that they have moved out. It was a shame, they made good cakes and pastries. Since I was there, I checked out Sis Bakery the first time. I was going to get some tahini bread for dinner, they ran out of it so I pointed at the tray of pastries at the corner and said give me one of them. It was the spicy cheese borek and was still warm. I had a piece as soon as I got home, it was good. With a side salad, it can make a meal for me so $350 was not a bad price. I then read the review and see what other people recommended. Spicy cheese borek was one of them and I will try the ajarakan when I go back there. The downside of this bakery is it is dark, the pastries are not at the display case so you have to be familiar with them to know what to order. read more
