I had my first ever pedicure here & was thrilled with the results. Had my second pedicure today & it was even better than the last. The massage chair I used could do with a repair though as one side is missing the massage ball at the bottom so I only felt the massage on my left lower back not on the right lower back. Worst gel pedicure. The lady who painted my toes was very sloppy which doesn't work with gel since it peels off. It's all over my toes and this is after I pointed it out and she "fixed them." Had them done this morning, after I showered most of them peeled off. read more

Sisters Nails is a sister run nail salon. This salon is clean and the sisters are both skilled and efficient. My nails, after 4 weeks, have not chipped. I have added polish to extend the beautiful job. Now, I have scheduled my next appointment and have invited a friend. The prices shocked me being located in Highland Park. They are competitive with my other great salon, which is located next to Tom Thumb, on Abrams and Mockingbird Ln. neither salon is crowded and that is a selling point for me. Appointments are the best way to insure availability. It is so great to have these two options for my nail care where the operators speak English and the music is soothing and low keyed. I had no issue with the way my service went in person but I am extremely unhappy with my nails. I got a dip with tips on and not just one, but 2 of my nails have broken off THE NEXT DAY. I paid $50 for these and had to pay $10 somewhere else to go fix them because I was no longer in the area. I'm always happy to schedule an appointment but if a business has called you back to let you know they have openings available, i will rush to get to the earliest time. BIG MISTAKE. Was greeted nicely and was taken care of right away! The person doing my nails did a great job but as soon as other appointments started coming in at their scheduled time (i assume) she quickly tried to hurry, finish and basically kick me out. she rushed through finishing my nails and they came out terrible, didn't bother to clean around my nails. didn't ask if they looked nice just put on the gel, shoved my hand in the uv light and yanked it out to see if it was dry. put some acetone smelling thing on my nail and put a bunch of oil on my hands. didn't tell me to wash my hands instead gave me a ridiculously hot wash cloth and threw everything on the table and waited for me at the counter to take out my card. below are the pictures of a rushed result. make an appointment with the place first and DO NOT take earlier appointments if they have them!! this may happen to you... read more

I've been going here for almost two years.. it's usually a great manicure and is a lovely experience but the last three times I've gone(booked in advance) I've gotten a different nail tech than I normally do. My nails don't look great like they always do, they are all different lengths and shapes. Super chunky and coarse on the edges. I've tried correcting her but she just doesn't pay attention when she's doing nails. Not to mention she's always reusing gloves and is really rough on my nails. I'll miss this place but it's time to move on. read more

I've been going to Sister Nails for about 6 months and today will most likely be my last day. The manicurist (whom I've had before and was nice) was very rude and rushed. I came for a 6 pm appointment and it seems like all she wanted to do was go home. I asked for my nails to be short, so she clipped and then said she would file them. When asking to please file them more, she became frustrated and got harsher with my nails. Then when I asked about why not all of the previous nail polish was taken off, she was angry and said it would be covered up by the new polish. I just commented on whether that was healthy for the nail. She started putting the new polish on and sure enough, it didn't cover up the old polish (dip) so she had to go back and remove more. She hastily sanded them down so much that it burned my nail. It was rather painful. Then she picked a different color for me, rather than explaining to me that the color I picked wouldn't look right. So she started with the dip on my right hand- the color didn't look right. When I asked about it she then explained how she picked a new one. So I said, well let me know and I'll pick a new one. Instead she had another lady come over to offer a different color. The color was fine and I said ok. Then the woman doing my nails made a snarky comment to the other women and became more forceful and rude. She only slowed down a bit to ask if I liked it when she saw I was visibly frustrated. Afterwards I apologized for seeming to make her mad about asking for the nail length and the right color- or for coming at 6pm, but the rudeness and the experience was terrible. She told me that it's not her fault I had a bad day. Which wasn't true. I was truly bummed because I thought I found a salon, now I don't think I'd ever be comfortable going back there. I also notice they don't sanitize their tools between people... it was something I overlooked but now when she also didn't feel the need to fully remove the dip... it has me wondering how else they cut corners. read more

The actual manicure is good-quality, but the experience was really uncomfortable. They have massage chairs, but for some reason they sat me at a desk and put my feet in a bucket to the side, so I had to twist around the whole time. And the woman doing my feet was on a rolling chair so I had to hold my legs up (it was a real workout) because if I relaxed she'd roll away! After my pedicure was finished, the woman doing my nails rolled over my foot with her chair (ouch) so they had to redo it. Generally, they were pretty rude. read more

I've tried plenty of nail places in Dallas & randomly tried them a few months ago after shopping at Elements. So happy that I did, by far the best pedicures that I have since moving to Dallas. They take their time & are so nice. No it's not as fancy as some places I've tried, but who cares? It's the best pedicure in town by far, I wear sandals pretty much year round and mine still manage to last at least two weeks which for me is amazing. Other places I went sometimes I would have chips after 2 days. So I am sold on Sister Nails and their amazing staff. read more

I have been going to Sister Nails for years and decided to give them a thumbs up review to get the word out that they are a wonderful group of women who do great nails. I have used Kathy, one of the owners who was excellent. But I have been going to Helen for the past 7 or 8 years and she is meticulous with nail care. She is sweet and always makes time for me. My nails are done very professionally. She does a nice long massage and takes time to really trim dead skin. She finishes up with a brush outline to make sure the nails look perfect. The polish lasts well through the week and longer if she does gel nails. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

I recently moved to Dallas and tried several nail salons until I happened upon Sister Nails next to a diner I like. Decided to randomly try it and I haven't been to another nail salon since. Starting with the basics - it's clean, comfortable and well-staffed so no long waiting. They also don't rush through your appointment. The best part of the whole visit is the massage they give with sea salt scrub. In addition to my feet, legs and arms feeling silky soft, I walk out of there feeling heck of relaxed. My search for a great nail salon is over! I went to Sister Nails today for a new set of acrylic nails and was totally satisfied. Two sisters established the salon at this Lovers Lane location (near the Tollway) 15 years ago after working at a Preston Center salon before that. I noticed immediately how clean and well organized the salon is. Plus, all the personnel I spoke with there were friendly and helpful. Kathy, one of the sisters, did my new set, and my nails turned perfectly -- far thinner, better shaped and prettier than where I went previously. (I'm pretty fussy about my nails, so not easily pleased.) I made my next appointment before I left and intend to keep coming back regularly in the future. read more
