I came in to get a natural looking dip manicure for my upcoming professional ceremony. I had only ever gotten shellac and was new to dip. When she buffed my nails, I started bleeding. Bad. It hurt like HELL. Then she she sprayed the stuff on and it stung so badly I cried a little. It was the worst I've ever been mutilated at a nail salon. My final result was good, but I still have a little cut. Why 4 stars? Well the technician was SUPER apologetic about it. She was very motherly and cleaned off my wound as best she could, and I could tell after she tried to finish slowly and carefully so I could be satisfied. Everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect, and she corrected them beautifully. In all the place is a little lower end for Dallas, but I appreciated the coziness of the decor. I don't know if I'll be back honestly after the trauma, but overall I am pleased with my final result. read more

I was looking for a new nail salon closer to me,I booked my appointment I arrived on time,I still waited around 15 minutes for someone to actually start my pedicure,my pedicure was amazing well worth the wait,however I can't say the same about my nails,I showed a photo,they weren't really done like the photo,I explained that I wanted pointy stiletto nails & instead I got really short almond nails,then at the end my cuticle was cut & she put some type of powder on it which has now turned my nail a weird color around my skin,now I have to put a bandaid on the nails I just got done because even after 45 minutes it's still bleeding. I'll go back just for pedicures but I won't be back to get my nails done. Update:,the manager or owner of the salon contacted me on my review & asked if I could call him,I called some woman answered the phone & I asked to speak with the manager & she caught an attitude & as I was asking when he worked again she hung up on me. read more

Let me start by saying that the staff seems friendly and very nice. Also, Lisa gave a great massage during my pedicure and was very sweet. This was my second time coming here. My first experience was bad, I spent nearly 4 hours to get a gel pedi and dip nails, and there were only 2 other customers in the shop. By the time we were finished, I was so tired and my back hurt so bad that I just wanted to get out of there. Once I got back to my hotel, I noticed how many of my nails were bumpy and a few were even a weird gradient of color (which Nancy later explained when I went back the next day that the brush she used must have had another precious color still on it). I usually go to Onyx Nails but with the 50% of your second service special, i was lured in. But folks, remember you get what you pay for. Flash forward about 6 weeks, and my gel pedi was actually still pretty good which was impressive so I decided to give the place another shot. I went in on a Monday, again for the special, and this time will definitely be the last. Again I spent 4 hours in the salon for a gel pedi and dip nails, although this time I did mention the defects in my nails and the tech tried to fix some of them but I still left with far below par nails and $80 poorer, along with nicks and cuts from the drill, half painted toenails and fingernails, painted skin and cuticles, one nail noticeably thicker than the others, and a bumpy finish on the dip nails. I did not notice the defects on the gel polish on my feet until I got home. While the staff is nice, the quality of the work is very poor. I will not be back and instead I'll go where it's $20 more for my services and leave in half the time with better looking nails. read more

I really hate to leave a unpleasant review for small businesses especially in the nail industry where there's so much competition. However this experience warrants a review to caution others of my experience. There are a total of 4 technicians that I've seen and and because I mean no ill will I want to be specific about the technician responsible for my experience. The male (husband) is very good and personable I've had a good pedicure experience with him, the business owner (wife) is skilled at the process but wears false nails that make her paint jobs mediocre at best but it's only cosmetic so does the job, the younger lady I haven't worked with so no comment on her skills, lastly there's a older woman that has worked on my nails the last two times & her work is HORRIBLE- The first experience early July 19' She did my pedicure and didn't know how to push back the cuticles and cut me so deeply I bleed. At this point the owner took over and finished. She was apologetic so I figured like the other Yelp complaints it was a fluke. On the last experience 8/2/19 the older woman worked on my nails again. The other two were busy and I didn't want to be that customer to say I'll wait and hurt her feeling. However I should've. It's one thing to make cosmetic mistakes- bad paint job, not scrubbing calluses etc...these things are harmless. It's more serious however to cause more intrusive damage like cutting into the layers of skin and causing possible irreversible damage. She attempted to cut my cuticles and nipped the whole side of my big toe nail exposing the bare skin in attempt to shape the nail, to make matters worst she tried to even it out by doing the same thing to the other side. At this point she also had to cut the nail down to the skin vertically to even it out. I was so upset! The owner attempted to "fix" this either accident or ignorance but the damage is done. My toes are in pain because she cut the nail so sharply under my skin it's perturbing into the sides (see pictures). I pray they grow back in correctly although it will take some months. I should've listened to the other Yelp reviews about the abrasive techniques here based on my experience it's probably specifically this technician in particular. Went here on a Friday for a gel manicure and regular pedicure and eyebrow waxing. Spent over $60 on the services plus a tip. The staff was nice and very accommodating. Today is Tuesday and my gel mani and regular pedi look like this...(see pics)...I thought that gel manis were suppose to last 2 weeks? And my pedi around the same timeframe? If I could I'd give THE OWNER A NEGATIVE -100 I WOULD. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I used to go here and loved the owners but once they stopped handling me as a client the other employees didn't understand what I said because they don't speak English and honestly hurt me and did a bad job. So I said nothing and left. My nail salon was closed last Monday and I was traveling to Las Vegas for the convention of a lifetime. Huge moment in my professional career and no other option but to come here again. Well I went in for a color change and .. the manicurist didn't listen / understand a word I said and just started cutting my nails off / with the drill needless to say I was extremely upset and had no other option but to sit there and let her finish as she talked bad about me to the lady doing my pedicure In their nature language none of my nails are the same length, she took off all of my filling (I guess thats what you call it , making my real nails weak as due to her taking part them off as well my natural nails. When I went to pay I was in tears I was so upset and all the owner wanted to do was say 'IM SORRY SHE NOT UNDERSTAND ENGLISH SO GOOD" I fix next time. Needless to say if she doesn't speak english she shouldn't be working in America. Charged me 90.00 dollars for a nail polish change and not one fucking time did she offer me a discount. Place is very run down, floors are very dirty, some nail polishes on their rack were rock hard dried out!! The owner is rude and has no customer service in her what so ever! She sat there and was arguing with me and pretty much blamed ME for not telling her that I needed "Ombré" nails..... how am I supposed to know what type of nails I want if I do not know? I do not work there and when I showed the picture she said she thought I was showing her the coffin look... I had already told her that's we wanted coffin nails prior to pulling out the pic and told her this is what we both want, she just nods and says ok, more worried about who's texting her and even taking a personal call while doing my daughters nails. She went to get a pinkish color to try to make it look more "natural" and as soon as she put it on her nail I told her it's too pink, and she said she is trying to lighten the color so I let her be... I asked her show me what she's doing on one nail and she painted them all that pink color I told her my daughter doesn't like it.., it's too pink, She had the audacity to tell me that I'm just making it difficult for her!!!! My daughter is deaf therefore I'm trying to remain calm and interpret and keep my cool with this lady.... If I show you a picture and YOU fail to explain to me what is needed do so our nails a certain way which she explained later, I needed different powders to create the ombré, which, had she told us that from the get go we would've gone with whatever she would've recommended as we really wanted our nails like that... all the arguing happened in Front of customers and the owner was like a child that just wouldn't drop the conversation. After I told her that I wasn't going to argue with her and to just put the polish my daughter had originally chosen and she still would not shut up trying to get her point across. Then she moves onto her next customer and completely forgot that I was supposed to have gotten my full set as well, I did get my pedicure tho.... and the pedicure was also terrible... the French tip look was done by the owner..,I asked for white line and showed her with my hand...again... I do not know nail lingo and she started painting the whole nail white and I stopped her after she did the first one. She said oh French tip? Why you not say French tip?? was her response, this was before the arguing ... pedicure was done by her helper, very very nice young lady, who was apologizing to me over and over for how the owner was reacting. Nails were different shapes, round and squared were my big toes. She tried to fix my toe nail paint as it needed a second coat of white color cause you could see thru them.. I told her no it's fine I'm going somewhere else to get it fixed and also to get my nails done because she didn't even get started on my hands cause she moved on to the next customer. I get up to pay and it's $95!!! Full price for a shit ass job!!!! DO NOT go to this place. I always go for their 50% off the second service special at the beginning of the week. Their deluxe pedicure service is a great price at $35 with a choice of different varieties for varying focuses. This time I came in with Nexgen nails and they were rough with the removal process. Last time they let me soak them off and they filed them down, this time they picked them off painfully. My cuticles needed some TLC after a week's worth of hard on the hands projects at work. They look great but I got nicked a couple times. My pedicure was perfect but the lady who did my gel manicure was a bit too rough for my liking. read more

I just moved from NY and was looking for a new salon. Came in and got a gel powder dipping manicure and regular pedicure. I base my nail salon review on a few things... With my organic dipping powder manicure, they took their time in taking off the old gel nail polish I had on before and did not just scrape away at my nails to hurry like other salons have done. Each fingernail was shaped to perfection and was consistent. Once the polish was on, he shaped and buffed again before putting on the top coat. The finish was amazing and my nails came out PERFECT. I am OCD when it comes to my nails and not one nail was out of place. Now my basic general pedicure ($25).. The chairs were comfy and they put a liner in the tub which was clean! The massage was long and they took their time scrubbing my feet. The paint job was perfect and they even took a paint brush with nail polish remover on it to go along the edges to make sure that there was no polish on the skin and that it was an even paint job. I was very happy overall with the service and the staff were kind and friendly. The overall esthetics of the salon was clean and very cute. I would definitely recommend stopping by! A colorful (literally) regular client came in and asked how long I had been attending this salon, and chatted about how much he loved this place. I always ask for my cuticles to explicitly be left alone on my hands and feet; I forgot to ask/mention it, but, no need; the most care I have ever received for my cuticles (which is a huge thing for a basic male manicure and pedicure) They seem to have been doing some upgrades, can't wait to return and enjoy them. Cable tv, nice tiles, flooring, great massage chairs, and decor. I left secretly REALLY happy! Sweet folks, SPECTACULAR work!! Clean! And not your typical "sell, sell, sell" salon. Just sat here for almost an hour with my feet in the water while my friend that I went to have a mani pedi together with is finishing up her pedicure. Needless to say I am waiting in the car for my friend to finish up and I am leaving with pruned feet and nada. I just moved back to Dallas and I was excited to find a new place to go. This will NOT be the place! WOW! This was the best pedicure my boyfriend and I have ever had. We got the deluxe pedicure and it was so relaxing we almost fell asleep. From the exfoliating scrub to the hot stone massage we felt so spoiled! The employees were upbeat, fun, and so sweet. They even provide you with complimentary wine or soft drinks!! Just dropped in because I was getting my car repaired next door. Since they were inexpensive I decided to do the organic dipping powder, full set. I am very skeptical about sculptures and who does them, because my nails grow "upward" and I usually have a problem with sculptures lifting quickly. To my surprise, the tech took time and care with "installing" the new set and they have lasted, with no lifting, for three whole weeks! Well worth the investment. When I first came here, I had a terrible powder dip manicure and I was dissatisfied, but I am happy with how they apologized for and corrected their mistake, redoing the manicure completely the next day. This place was awful. The establishment was dirty and run down, and the one bathroom was cluttered with supplies. I wasn't offered water or any sort of drink. The people were beyond rude - the man doing my nails yanked my hands to him without giving me any sort of cushion to make it more comfortable to extend my arm all the way to him. He did a horrible, sloppy job with the dip powder, and when I pointed out the smudges and missed spots on the sides of my nails, he just tried to file it out (?) My toes took two and a half hours. Not kidding. My feet were not exceptionally out of the ordinary, so there was no reason to take so long. I would have been more understanding if a foot massage took up part of that time (30 min is what it said my pedicure included) but what I got was about 5 minutes on one foot and 2 min on the other. I also wanted reflexology with my pedicure, which the website said they offered, but they looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for that. So that didn't happen. I had to ask the lady to cut my toenails down as short as she could, but after three more times telling her to trim them more, I gave up. The end result: smudged nails with missing spots on the side, disregarded ingrown toenails, and over $100 down the drain for dip powder (with no cuticle work) that is dull and lifting after one week and shellac toenails that hurt. If the physical place doesn't turn you off enough, the service and quality certainly will persuade you. This place sucks. read more
