I've had my nails done by Sandra twice. The first time was amazing! They looked great and lasted a long time. Second time, not so much. I paid $70 (inc tip) on Thursday. Literally 30 hours later, two nails had chipped 1/3 of the way off. I'm super sad because i had them done for a special occasion out of town, and now there's no time to get them re-done. I was really hoping that the second experience would match the first, but it didn't for me. I now have to remove the polish and do it myself. This unfortunately was not money well spent. read more

where do i even begin? Shelby the owner is anything but professional went to her for a solid year or 2 unfortunately after my last experience was the final straw for me. after my 3rd or 4th appointment not only would she call in "sick" or cancel within 24hrs notice, She would reschedule me almost every other appointment almost every one! Leaving me to go grab coffee and a snack "down the street" then popping me under a hair dryer while i have bleach is not professional. Might i add i specifically told her i didnt want to cut my hair and then after our appointment was done she told me she took off only an inch and its so much healthier.( Still didnt ask for a cut) She had an assistant do my hair one of these last times. Super sweet girl but shelby just let her do her thing with 0 guidance. Got bleach on the collar of one of my shirt and also fried off one solid highlight worth of hair. Saw shelby make a face and then proceeded to put a crap ton of product to slick my hair so i couldnt notice wasnt until i got home and started messing with ny hair did i notice the chunk!! The vibe is off and honestly super judgy for me to paying 250+ for highlights for over a year and have her get this comfortable with me is unprofessional Please stop scheduling clients if you cant honor the time nor day. I've been going here for years...you walk in looking okay, you walk out looking fabulous! You're in good hands with any one of the Sisters. They are professional (and lovely) and will give you exactly what you want and need. The salon is sleek and chic (and clean) with all the latest goodies. Last month I tried their Keratin blowout and it was fantastic -- highly recommend it over the Brazilian ladies. They also have a good line of products to take home. Some of the other services they offer are a skin spa (glowing goodness) and manicure/pedicure (it's like a spa experience). Check them out -- you won't be disappointed. Cheers! read more

What a horrible experience this was. I will be wearing a hat for the next 6 months. After crying for the past hour and not being able to look in the mirror, I am finally able to write this. My hair looks terrible to the point that I won't even show my friends or family. I asked for an easy trim with some layers and what I got is the shortest my hair has ever been with uneven layers and overall not what I wanted. I'm not sure what was worse, her taking a phone call during the hair cut or randomly telling me that a strand of blonde hair in my head is grey (it quite literally is not). Overall, I am beyond upset with the service and will 1000% never return and I encourage everyone to reconsider this salon unless you are looking to be extremely disappointed with your haircut. read more

I've been to so many salons within the last 3 years and they have either been wayyyy too expensive or couldn't fulfill my vision. Everything changed when a friend of mine referred me to Vivien. I was able to get a hold of her and booked an appointment a week and a half later. I showed her pictures of styles/colors that I wanted and was ready to have my appointment! Unfortunately someone used up the last of the grey/silver color but Vivien reassured me that she could make my hair be the ashiest blonde with just a touch of silver. 2 hours later, I am SOO in love with my hair! I've been coming here for years and I'm now brining my teenage son. I initially worked with Jessica, but when she left I started working with the owner. She does a great job and knows which cuts look good on me - I'm never disappointed. A cut and color is a reasonable price and everyone is always super nice. Their nail person, Tai, is great as well. I generally work in a pedi when get my hair done. Overall, great place and can't wait for them to open again! read more

I wasn't planning to write a review but saw the lies another Yelp reviewer wrote and since I was there that day, I thought I'd clear the air. This review is actually in response to the FALSELY negative review written by the person named Robin S. I was actually in the salon when this woman came in and every rude behavior she's describing is based on her own behavior. In fact she's so memorable to me BECAUSE of her behavior so when I saw the review I knew I had to set the record straight. As I was getting my nails done, I watched Robin snap at the owner several times, as the owner stood there in silence. She was inconsiderate, rude and had ogre-like tendencies herself. What she didn't mention in her review is that I HEARD HER tell the owner "maybe I should come get my color done with you from now on" and had a big smile on her fad. I also saw the owner deny the payment from Robin because the owner valued customer service. It's a shame to see losers like Robin have the privilege of leaving false reviews filled with blatant lies. I've been going to this salon for both my hair and nails and both have always exceeded my expectations. read more

I live nearby and was looking for a new salon to get a haircut. I decided to schedule an appointment at Sister's Hair Salon because there were several good reviews on Yelp. Big mistake. My appointment was with Fereshteh and she gave me the worst haircut ever! It was so bad I had to go home and trim it to even it up myself. All the furniture is covered in plastic and dated looking. The appointment was only 20 minutes total from when I walked in the door to when I walked out. She rushed everything and was sloppy when washing my hair, getting shampoo on my face and neck. I specifically asked her to only cut 1 - 1 1/2 inches off the length and she cut 3. The entire experience was terrible and I can't believe I paid $65.00. Supercuts would have been better. read more

Tai, the woman who is their manicurist & pedicurist, is professional and does a great job; she, like the owners, is a very nice person also. The décor of this place is fantastic: very avant-garde. I came in looking for a product that would help my dry scalp. The lady at the desk wasn't sure if they had any products like that, so she went to ask someone else. The woman she asked told me that she had a serum, but that it only came with a package of shampoo and conditioner. We talked for a minute about what my scalp condition is and what I felt like I needed, what was in the product she was talking about, etc. She ended up giving me a bottle of the serum for free to try out! Nice! (Btw, I don't want folks to think that they do this on a regular basis...I really don't know. Just trying to show that I got very good customer service here, especially considering that I've never been in before.) We'll see if the serum works. If not, no biggie. My experience with her is beyond positive and it only gets better each time! She's friendly, responsible, honest, meticulous and such a warm person. OMG - unless you're an old lady looking for an "old lady" hair cut - steer clear of this salon. They ruined my hair; cut it all off, and turned it orange!! I grew my hair out for a year so I could get the haircut I wanted (photo with me). They would not refund my money and I'm not sure which sister it was but she spent so much time gossiping with other clients that she ignored the type of cut and highlights I wanted and did her own thing. I was horrified when she washed out the foils!! Plus she kept turning me so I couldn't see the cut . Now I'm waiting the minimum of 4-5 months to let my hair grow out so I can get the type of cut/style I expected. Then they charged me per $300 for this mess!! I will NEVER recommend this salon to anyone, in fact I will be sure to tell others of my experience. read more

Absolutely love it! They do an amazing job. Have been going there for over 10 years and will continue to go. Fareshdeh and Hamida are truly sisters that make you feel like part of the family. My hair takes about 3 hours to do and they will spend more time if they have to to do it just perfect. I constantly get compliments about my cut and color. I've seen her work with all kinds of hair, from super-full crazy curls to older women with about seven hairs left. All I know is, when they stand up from her chair, they look beautiful. There's no hair type she doesn't understand. Including mine, which features no fewer than five inconveniently placed cowlicks. Her sister - yes, they really are sisters - Fereshteh is equally talented. My daughter and husband swear by her. New additions Jessica and Tara are really wonderful stylists as well, getting a first-class education in all things hairy at the elbow of these fantastic owners. AND, they are reasonably priced! They are efficient, honest and friendly and the best part is that the treatment lasts for months and looks fantastic. My hair still looks and feels great and healthy, even after 3 treatments. Hamidae and Farishitae are wonderful in every way - warm, welcoming, and talented. They truly listen to me and spend time to work with me to help ensure I get what I invision. I love their honesty, too. They consult with me each visit for a give-and-take about what the final result. If they don't think something will work best, a slight hesitating "uuum" is all it takes. But they always give me what I want, no matter what. The mirror doesn't lie! Sister's prices are very reasonable and affordable, and they are dedicated professionals who are in the right job. HORRIBLE, horrible, horrible service! My poor teenagae daughter wanted her first hairlighting and decided to try Sisters Salon and Spa. Since I was going to meet her and unfortunately left work a bit late, she went ahead without me. When I finally got there, Muni was it's typical snail service, I found her crying neer the tunnel entrance, with her hair covered with her hat. I asked her to show me and I was horrified at the disaster that was "created" by the heavier set sister. My daughter has dark hair, and the "sister" had put brassy red streaks that were horribly uneven and spotty. It already had looked as though it was a month old. The look was meant for a streetwalker. The "sisters" might think this is appropriate for their taste, but not for the normal teenager / adult. It was disgusting! Rather than take my daughter back for continued poor taste, I took my daughter the next day to a reputable salon, paid more money to have them undo the streetwalker look. BTW, the new salon agreed it was unacceptable, unprofessisonal, and damaged my daughter's hair. SAVE YOUR MONEY! read more

WORST CUT AND COLOR EVER! I went in to the Sisters' salon 1st time with a picture of the exact cut/color I wanted - it was totally appropriate for my hair type and length. I keep immaculate care of my hair by washing it only twice a week, using honey masks, and letting it air dry. It's super shiny and very healthy; the perfect length for the haircut I wanted. I spent 20 minutes arguing with the stylist that my hair turns yellow/gold before it turns the right color for highlights. She told me this was impossible because my hair was so ashy (who's hair is it anyway?). So, of course, when she was done with the lowlights and her ridiculous version of highlights, it was all gold. She never said anything but decided to put a toner on to cut the gold. When that was done, my hair was the color of a copper penny!!! NO highlights to be seen anywhere. When I asked the stylist, she said, they're in there!!! Then she cut my hair and cut it up higher than my shoulders, and had the nerve to tell me she had to cut off the length b/c it was so damaged - no communication - she just did it while I was facing a different direction. Needless to say my hair looks nothing like the picture after almost $300, and while she wanted to "fix" it, (no way) there was no offer to reduce my fees when she knew how bad it was/how unhappy I was - and rightfully so!!! The FIRST thing my husband said was "it looks like a copper penny"! I wish I would've known how bad this salon was but after reading all the positives, I am very confused.... maybe they are using a service to keep their feedback positive???? read more
