1.30.24 First time ordering from LJ's. They are in the same complex as my office and employees often go here. Having a salad isn't typically my first preference for a tasty lunch, but I generally like Chicken Caesar Salad so thought it was a good choice. Sadly I was mistaken. The chicken was dry, croutons were mushy, not enough dressing and the flavor wasn't great. I should have went for a sandwich, but was trying to be healthy since I was having an unhealthy dinner. Maybe next time I'll stick to one of their sandwiches and have a better experience. The upside of my experience was that I was able to place my order online and it was ready when I came to pick it up.

I can't believe I'm just finding out about this place. I literally work right next to it. My co worker told me about this spot and now I'm hooked. They serve breakfast and lunch and it's busy. It's busy for a reason. At first if you drive up you won't see it, there is a door in the back where you can get inside from but there is a walkway through some small bushes. Haha you can go inside the office building to get here too but the back way is easier. They have so many options to choose from. They have snacks, muffins, drinks. Sandwiches and pancakes. This is a one stop shop. I got their tuna wrap and it was good. My coworkers rave about their Ruban sandwich and go there weekly just for that. Customer service is top notch! This is one of those sneaky deli shops that you have to try out! No regret!

Whether it's breakfast or lunch, LJ takes great care of his customers with fresh, tasty & cheap food.

The Manoushe was ready quickly and I was in heaven after my first bite. The vegetables tasted so fresh! The base of the Manoushe had the perfect amount of olive oil. It didn't taste greasy or heavy, and felt like the perfect lunch to enjoy the onset of summer. The aioli made me nervous that it contained egg because it was so creamy and delicious! I have been told three times it is vegan, so I will not think too hard about it and just enjoy this delicious sauce. I am excited to come back to order the Toum Raider again. Thanks Z&Z for the great vegan options!

We ordered the Big Eaters Platter, the Corned Beef Hash & Eggs, and shared a Nutella Crepe with Strawberries for dessert. The portions were generous, especially the Big Eaters Platter, making it a solid choice if you're coming in hungry. The corned beef hash was decent, and the Nutella crepe with fresh strawberries was a nice sweet finish to the meal. That said, I thought the food was just okay for the price. Nothing we ordered was bad, but nothing really stood out enough to make me want to come back. The quality was solid, but I left feeling like there are better breakfast options in the area for the same price point. If you work nearby or are visiting one of the surrounding medical offices or hospitals, I could definitely see this being a convenient spot for a quick breakfast or lunch. However, as someone visiting the area, I don't think it's a place I'd go out of my way to return to. Overall, friendly service and a clean restaurant helped make for a pleasant experience, but the food didn't quite justify the price. A good neighborhood café if you're close by, but probably not a destination breakfast spot.

I normally don't eat at Cava because healthy food doesn't typically excite me, however, since I have been eating poorly lately I decided to give this a try. I came with a colleague for lunch. I decided to get a custom warm bowl ($9.95) which included: herb roasted chicken ($4.65), roasted tofu ($2.65), cucumber, carrot, arugula, and spinach (choice of four toppings). I also got a can of Cola ($3.65). I loved my bowl, the chicken was nicely seasoned and I haven't had tofu in a while so I really enjoyed it. I thought the bowl and soda were both pricy, however, had I stuck to a bowl off the menu, I would have saved a bit. Unlike Cava and other similar operations, I like that they have a large selection of sauces to choose from. I enjoyed the Chipotle and Ranch sauces. The restaurant has limited seating, but most patrons got their food to go. There is street parking, a garage, and a lot behind the restaurant. They have two types of loyalty programs, one is free and the other one is an annual membership that offers additional perks. We ordered the Brunch Mania each and I got the Nutella Banana Fritters, Smoked Salmon Toast, and Spicy Lamb Benedict. Cava Mezze had some of the best customer service I'd ever experienced. The staff was so attentive--everyone from my server to the manager. Any member of the staff that simply passed my table made sure to ask me if I was enjoying my food or give me an update on the status of my food. My server also made sure to inform me about the restaurant's cuisine and menu before I ordered. As a solo diner, she made recommendations about what may be best since I wouldn't be sharing the small plates with a party. As for the food, I ordered the saganaki and grilled octopus. The restaurant also provided complimentary pita and harissa. The pita came out warm and the harissa was actually one of my favorite parts of the meal. The saganaki was good, but was ultimately just warm cheese; So as a solo diner, the $16 cost wasn't worth it to me. If dining alone, I probably would spend my money on a more unique appetizer like the hush puppies or mezze tasting. The elements of the grilled octopus were good, but felt like they were slightly off or missing something when paired all together. The grilled squid was tasty (well seasoned and smokey), but had a few too many burnt pieces for my preference and was /slightly/ tough. I still really enjoyed the flavor of it though. The fava puree was sooo good! Again, it had a great, slightly salty flavor that I really enjoyed. I think it was perhaps the brininess of the capers that threw off the flavors off, but the dish felt 100% more balanced once I mixed in some of the complimentary harissa! I really enjoyed my time at Cava Mezze and am excited to return to try more items from their menu. This restaurant is solo-date approved!

The hummus is very good. The babaganoush is very smokey. The falafel are the best I have found other than the world famous Maoz, I just wish they were bigger so they would stay hot and moist longer. T. $6 for 5 doesn't feel right when I could eat 20 of them so unfortunately I won't be ordering them again. The falafel are clearly labeled vegan and gluten free, as are many other items. The sauces are very good and they squirt them from bottles that dispense a generous amount. The meat unfortunately does not come right off the spit but is held in a metal bin like chipotle so they can keep the line moving, but you can see the 3 giant spits roasting away in the back. The last thing I love about this place is that you get something you simply can not make at home. Even if you make shawarma style chicken and have rice and greens, there's no way you're making hummus and babaganoush and all the sauces and then you'd also have to buy 20 ingredients for the toppings... It's the same idea as chipotle or if you know Cava, it's more like that. The price starts at $12.99 and the only thing that raises the price is if you get lamb or steak or double meat. All toppings are included. It's worth mentioning again, the hummus is very good, perhaps the best I've ever had. Not only great flavor but it's the creamiest smoothest hummus.

This flavor profile emphasized the juicy, slow roasted flavor of the chicken, with parsley salad adding sharp herbal notes and the garlic sauce adding creamy richness. The supreme chicken shawarma had saj bread, chicken, hummus, lettuce, tomatoes, pickled red cabbage, pickles, and garlic sauce. I added spicy harissa and diced onions to it at no additional cost. The sauces and varies ingredients made this taste like a combo halal rice bowl. Price point seems quite reasonable for the quantity and customizability.

It brought out the umami flavor of the tuna. I ordered the chef's special very berry sangria. Don't get me wrong, it was very good, but not a noteworthy drink. My main dish was the blackened skirt steak salad. The steak was perfectly cooked and I loved the salad with fresh lettuce, tomato, and crispy onion straws. The ranch dressing was amazing! My friend didn't like her pasta dish and they were really nice about switching her order to jambalaya. We ordered two show stopping desserts. The flourless chocolate cake was phenomenal!
