The lunch special was . $20 for an app and a good portioned meal. I was incredibly impressed. I loved the drunken noodles and peanut dressing on the salad. Very cute vibe inside. Service was fast and friendly. Would definitely go back!

I've had sisters Thai in the Tyson location and I think it was a little bit better or maybe it was just what I ordered. I felt like my pad see ew was a bit overcooked. The noodles weren't very chewy just limp. I also felt like the som tum salad lacked the kind of sourness I really appreciate in papaya salad. I didn't have a bad experience, just felt like the food served that night lacked authenticity according to my personal expectations. Service was great, no complaints there. She was fast, helpful, and knew the menu well. And it's a pretty large restaurant very beautifully decorated. It's great for groups or small parties.

We stopped by for a weeknight dinner with some friends we had coming in town, and were able to get seated right away! It was pretty busy but the service was stellar and our food came out quickly too. Tried the thai tea which is always good. Then the summer salad with salmon added, chicken panang curry and the ka prow. We were all extremely happy with the food especially the portion sizes! Will for sure stop by again when Im over here for work again.

Went with a full table of 8 people and we feasted! Everything we ordered was delicious from the appetizers, salads, to entrees. Our table ordered 12 different dishes and they were ALL amazing, not a single "meh" item!! Wish we saved room in our bellies for dessert but just couldn't do it. The restaurant is super charming and small enough for a fully attentive staff. This is the second time I've been here - the last time was a year ago and I will go back again!!

Absolutely loved the decor of this restaurant! It's like three places in one. It's has a very unique and spacious bar setup, a cozy restaurant feel, and also a specialty coffee/dessert shop feel. Great architecture overall. The food was a 7/10. Good, but nothing to write home about. For starters, the Crab Rangoon was one of the better ones I've had, as it wasn't overloaded with cream cheese. The crispy wontons and mango sticky rice were also tasty. For my entree I ordered the duck curry. It was a tad underwhelming, as it lacked the spice level I was looking for and the duck was pretty soggy and fatty. Not a bad dish, but not what you would want, given the price tag. Service was more than satisfactory. The waiter was knowledgeable, attentive, and prompt.

Came here for lunch yesterday. Overall, the food was disappointing. Thai tea: delicious, still. Good blend of strong and sweet but not too sweet or creamy. $5 Drunken Noodles: really not good. I looked at photos to see if I was trippin and it seems like the noodle squishiness/slime varies. In my case, the noodles were QUITE slimy. Like very slimy and squishy and gross. In addition to being gross, they tasted very bland. I was so disappointed. $20-22 Crabmeat fried rice: I don't remember there being celery before. Gross. I've never had celery in my crab fried rice anywhere before. Also, the rice was the blandest it's ever been. Even my kid was like, "maybe it's only really good at dinner." $28 Crispy spring rolls: good and crispy but these are hard to mess up. $12 Service: fine. Definitely slow. We are outside and were the only ones so it felt like we got forgotten at one point. I like to make my own sauce for spring rolls. Spring rolls took like 20 minutes. I waited an additional 13 for soy sauce because our server didn't come around for forever. My kid's water glass was empty for a long time. Honestly... maybe we'll try the Tyson's location next time. This was NOT it this time.

Hands down my favorite spot in the DMV -- Sisters Thai never misses. From the plating to the flavors to the whole vibe, everything is perf. It's the perfect mix: restaurant, bakery, and bar all in one. Service is always good. Dropping a throwback video to when I first discovered this place -- still just as good.

Came here as it was an easy walk from the hotel with a fellow trainer. The food was pretty good. The service was fair. My colleague asked for more cashews than chicken for her dish and they didn't listen. I had to ask them several times for extra cashews. We were done with the meal that we had to ask for them to go. We got some, but probably like 6 of them. Anyhow beside that we sat outside and it was fall day. I order pad Thai and green curry. I enjoyed the curry, however the pad Thai was very average. Actually the curry was even better the next day, I ate it cold and it was tasty. If I come back to Alexandria again, I will def go.

Going to Sisters Thai is like being in your Thai auntie's house with her eclectic book collections and shabby chic decor and a garland of roses around the entrance. There is both a bar and a cafe as well as numerous banquettes, including one next to the piano. Normally, this is a hopping place with 30-45 minute waits de riguer but on a weekday for lunch, my son and I just walked right in and was seated immediately. The lunch specials are quick, fresh, and filling. A tad more heat would have lent more authenticity, but our bad for not asking for Thai spicy hot. Definitely a go to place for the many food options at Mosaic.

Sisters Thai is one of those places that everyone wants to be at. The deco is amazing! I asked my big spoon to bring me and he did. Beautiful day to eat outside! Love that this chain is growing! I'd get into it BUT everything is always good! Pick anything on the menu and you will not be disappointed! Service can be off sometimes and language barriers are sometimes an issue but other than that, great service, great food and great ambiance!

Cute spot for Thai food, drinks & desserts! I dined at Sister's Thai ALX with my husband last night (07.12.25). We were seated at a small table in the middle of the Magnolia section of the restaurant. While it didn't feel completely cramped, more elbow space and room to move around would be desirable. Seating seemed more well suited for a coffee shop than traditional dining. The overall decor vibe at Sister's Thai is eclectic -- it's a large mix of luxury looking furniture & finishings alongside thrift store esque decor finds. All of our food was flavorful & the drinks were well curated! We ordered the Donald roll as an appetizer. The sauce on roll made the dish a stand out! I also enjoyed the contrast of the rolls' crispy exterior and chewy interior. For entrees we ordered Veggie Tofu Green Curry & Crispy Duck Curry -- both came with rice and can be adjusted to suit preferences for spice level. The veggies were cooked well. They were tender without being mushy & each still had a nice bite. The crispy duck lived up to its name & was delicious! I previously visited the Sisters Thai location in the Mosaic District and enjoyed it. I'll add ALX to my list of places to return to!

Spent my father's birthday and it was such a great turn out. We ordered a lot of food and it was all ate. Memorable plates are the pad Thai, drunken noodles, their curry! Cocktails are well made too. The service was speedy and can never go wrong with their ambiance it's very spacious

The CUTEST! The best, authentic experience. They make the Thai iced tea different than I've ever had it by using shaven bubble ice..and the glass choice..perfect presentation! Their curry puffs are on point. I ordered my typical traditional gra prow but added shrimp for the first time - spicier than I've had I feel but tasty nonetheless. The Thai salad had an interesting dressing combination sweet peanut dressing maybe...it was good just maybe sweeter than I'd like for a large salad. The waitress had such a thick accent and was so sweet. Beautiful area where it's situated, free street parking all day, and shout out to the interior designer - STUNNING WORK! Fave Thai place here...check. Go, enjoy!!!!

Not to mention, it felt so fairly-priced compared to most places in Old Town! We spent about $50 between the two of us, which included a 20% tip on our bill. Hard to beat in this area honestly, especially given the quality of the food and service. I look forward to coming back and am so glad to finally have an answer to "where do you recommend going for brunch in Old Town?" -- a question that I've historically struggled with when people asked!

The staff was friendly, and the menu had several items that sounded interesting. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to the setting. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, which came with eggs and breakfast potatoes. The meal itself was good, and I liked that the eggs were included since that's not always the case with biscuits and gravy. I also ordered a Bloody Mary that was advertised on the menu as being garnished with bacon, celery and a pickle spear. When it arrived, there was no bacon, celery or pickle spear, and I was told they were out. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice to know before ordering. The biggest issue was service timing. There were four of us dining together, and three meals arrived while the fourth entrée didn't show up for about ten more minutes. Since nobody wanted to eat while one person sat without food, our meals cooled off while we waited. Ironically, the delayed meal was a BLT--which did have bacon on it and even a pickle spear.... I finished my first Bloody Mary and ordered a second. After waiting 15-20 minutes with no drink arriving, our check was brought to the table and I ended up canceling it. My wife's meal was the biggest disappointment. It was served with corn chips that were extremely stale, which really hurt the overall dish. HomeGrown has a lot of potential. The atmosphere is great, the staff was pleasant, and parts of the meal were enjoyable. However, between the service delays, missing menu items, stale chips, and drink issues, there is definitely room for improvement.

However, I'm considering making this a less frequent stop because they no longer allow customization of their seasonal selections. I used to enjoy tailoring my drinks to explore new flavors and enhance my experience. While I understand their logic--similar to not altering a prix fixe menu--the ability to customize is something I value in a coffee shop, especially since I savor one select cup each day. The ambience is delightful, with a rustic modern vibe that makes it a decent spot to work if you can snag a table, though the wobbly chairs can be a bit distracting. They also offer a coworking space, which is nice if you need a rentable area, but it does feel somewhat corporate, reminiscent of a WeWork environment. Despite these positives, I can't give the shop a full five-star rating due to their policy against customizing specialty drinks. While I appreciate their desire to maintain the integrity of their unique creations, this decision takes away from the personal coffee experience I cherish. The joy of customizing a drink to my exact taste is something I miss dearly. In summary, while the coffee and atmosphere are top-notch, the lack of personalization and the slightly corporate/snobby feel of the coworking space are drawbacks. It's still a great place to visit for the flavors and the vibe, but I hope they reconsider allowing customization to enhance the overall experience.
