Although I was very excited by the reviews and recent ratings, this night was a Disaster!! I called for reservations and arrived to find the place basicly empty on Valentine's evening. My family and I were looking forward to an outstanding meal and evening of birthday celebration, but what we received was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. We ordered 4 entries, 2 appetizers, a papaya salad. An order well over $100. The place was nearly empty, but there was what appeared to be a family party going on in the other side of the restaurant. After nearly 35 mins, still no appetizers... After sensing our mounting aggravation, our waitress said that "it was going to be a bit, as they were tending to a party" Really???? Well, needless to say, we waited another 7 to 10 minutes and we had reached our limit... Marching up to the girl at the cash register we voiced our dislike for how our evening had unfolded... I explained to her that we had been waiting for over 30 minutes and had not even received our appetizers and handing a party that they were obviously more concerned about was not a good business move when the majority of your livelihood relies on daily customers... To my shock, there was NO offer to make it right and to add insult to injury, they were more than happy to charge me the $9.41 for the water and three soads we had.... You have got to be kidding me!!!!! Good Luck Sisters! May I suggest a good business grad school? WE WONT EVER BE BACK... TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. read more

When I come here, it reminds me of my mother's cooking. Very authentic thai cuisine. Most of it is family style so your able to share meals so everyone can have a taste. They have eggroll, crab Rangoon's, chicken satay, stir fry, Pho, etc... but I went with the wings and Pad see eww, which is a stir fried noodle dish in a sweet soy sauce. It was very flavorful and as close to what my mom makes at home. Overall, this place is very nostalgic for me and worth it if you like authentic Southeast Asian cuisine. read more

Fantastic choice. Stopped on our way through town. We had Spring Rolls, Kow Pad Pineapple and Peanut Noodles. My husband and I shared all the dishes and we both loved everything. My wife & I stumbled upon this restaurant as it is located at the Ohare bus route stop at the Clock Tower in Rockford, IL. We tried the Pad Thai & thoroughly enjoyed it on the bus ride into Ohare Airport. We have since eaten there 4 more times in the last month. It is fantastic! My wife is thai & Sisters Thai is able to prepare food that satisfies her cravings for the real thing. At the same time, my american palate finds their food absolutely delicious. I have always wondered what is in the Clock Tower in Rockford... other than the water park and this is the place to get the bus to Ohare and Midway. I had NO idea that this authentic thai restaurant was inside. And it's really amazing! I have some work colleagues that are scared of trying "ethnic" food but really loved it! Finally got a chance to try this awesome place after months of hearing recommendations from coworkers. I went with my wife and parents. The decor was appropriate and the music was properly themed and very chill. I got the pork green curry, wife got the sweet and sour chicken (had some different name, but is clearly sweet and sour from the description), my father got the Sisters Kow Pad and my mother had crab rangoons and spring rolls. Our excellent server asked us all how spicy we wanted our food, as all the dishes are spiced to your taste (except mom's appetizers). We all tried each other's dishes. Everything was awesome. The crab rangoons were imitation, but I didn't mind-the filling was very well-seasoned, with a much more interesting combination of sweet and savory flavors than I'm used to. The Kow Pad tasted like true comfort food - excellent flavor on the fried rice and a nice level of veggies and meat. The sweet and sour the way my wife ordered (slightly spicy) was really fabulous, and ridiculously huge! Actually, aside from the appetizers, everything seemed like a good value considering the quality and quantity (the appetizers were awesome, but on the small side - especially the spring rolls) Of course, I was in this for the curry. I've had most of the curry available in Rockford, and the Pork Green curry served spicy was just perfect. From the heavy sweetness of the coconut milk to the fresh veggies and basil to the wonderfully balanced heat level, it was just exactly as it should taste. This gem nestled in the Clocktower is now one of my favorite restaurants. After having a group of diverse dishes and finding them all to be excellent, I have no qualms about diving into their menu, no matter how strange the item I find is. The only downfall I was on my lunch break when I ordered and walking in to order was a mistake. This place was not packed at all to say that I spent the first 50 minutes of my lunch break waiting on my food was ridiculous! This cafe has a wonderful decor, and thankfully there is ample parking in the back. However, this over-priced, lack-luster food is a huge disappointment. The chicken satay is tough as shoe leather, and lacks flavor (however the peanut sauce made it edible). My entree of garlic with shrimp and cabbage was a bore. They use regular cabbage instead of Chinese cabbage. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

I was in the mood for Tom Yum soup and this place was nearby. Nice place. Very few customers. Hard to find from the street and even with a GPS. The food made up for it all. The Tom Yum soup had just enough zing to keep you coming back for another spoonful. I also had the minced chicken with lime, cilantro and red onion (can't remember the name. My first order at this place was disappointing. I ordered the red curry (beef) and the crispy tofu for pick up. They forgot to put the peanut sauce for the latter so it was not enjoyable. The red curry was not flavorful. It was, in fact, overpowered by a black pepper taste and some of the vegetable medley was just chewy (i.e. bamboo shoots). Since I read such good reviews, I was sorely disappointed. Service and flavor might be different from dine in customers though. Who knows? read more

I stopped here for lunch during a visit to Rockford in early June. I ordered a Thai sweet tea and the beef pad Thai, which was recommended by the waitress. I've lived in the South my whole life and have had my fair share of sweet tea, but in terms of sweetness, Thai sweet tea makes southern sweet tea look tame. Served with a shot of half and half, Thai sweet tea should be called diabetic coma tea. It was potent. The beef pad Thai, however, was delicious and very filling. I came here for dinner one night and then lunch the next day since this was only one of two places available in this location. I was excited at first to have some healthier options. I first ordered the steak salad to take to my room--it was hotter then I expected. I was disappointed to then be asked to pay $2 for water in a small plastic to-go cup. To make matters worse, they gave me no fork or knife to eat my food. Thankfully, I noticed before going back to my room. Apparently, I had to ask for everything...and maybe get charged for it. The second time I came here was only because there was too long of a wait at the other restaurant. This time I dined in, but there were the same problems.
