Stopped in here the other day for a coffee and snack while minding a wee one year old. Unfortunately, there weren't enough seats for us to have our own table- had to sit at the counter and sit the wee one in his stroller, which he promptly plopped out of out of curiosity. Coffee is strong and delicious. I ordered a sandwich, which unfortunately are pre-made and kept in the fridge. It was good, but the bread (baguette) was hard from being in the fridge too long. Music was loud- metal or something similar. Cash only. Definitely prefer the Pennyhouse Cafe nearby. read more

This place is heaven in Brooklyn. I came here after going to another nearby coffee shop/cafe that (GASP), didn't allow laptop use at like, 90% of their tables! Still confused by that, but anyways, so glad I stumbled upon this place! I was wrapping up a Master's thesis and needed a quiet, quaint, place with amazing Chai's and working WiFi to work in...and Sit and Wonder was all those things. I came everyday for a week and the only complaint is that seating was sometimes limited if I came in after noon, but thats to be expected in a small coffee shop in Brooklyn. Nontheless, If you need a quiet place to study, work, or just have a caffeinated beverage and reflect on life...come here. It's dope. read more

I stopped by on a sunny afternoon to do some work and snack on something tasty. I ordered an iced chai latte, which was pretty watery and tasted very faintly of chai. I'm not sure if my experience is the norm as other reviews had said this place was good for strong drinks. I also ordered a cranberry oatmeal cookie, which are baked in house. It was pretty decent, but nothing to rave about. It is a pretty tiny place with a steady stream of foot traffic so there's definitely an element of luck involved to get a seat. Overall I'd give it a 3.5, but it just didn't feel like it deserve rounding up to a 4. read more

such a charming square right smack in the middle of a quaint corner of town. the outside seating!! who woulda thought!! sorry konditori--i'll swing by another time i got to see the two baristas handle a customer's query very well. it's always so refreshing to see the customer's concern placed above all! they're inviting and equipped with smiles. thanks! ordered a cortado which came in quick time. i love the mother goose plate--definitely goes with the homey vibes (and also the looming giraffe) haha. sweet, curt cortado. i think they know how to work with da beans. overall a chill corner for catching up or catching z's. will definitely come by again soon! read more

For those who work from home, this place is awesome. Had a decent iced coffee with a delicious chocolate croissant while getting work done in their garden area in the back. There aren't a lot of places that make consistently excellent coffee without being pretentious - but this is that place. They couldn't care less about being cool, but they do care about making you a great cup of coffee. Excellent baristas and a warm, friendly vibe make this my neighborhood go-to. read more

After cycling loops in Prospect Pk, I got plenty choices to stop by next. Milk Bar, Southside Coffee, Steeplechase Coffee and Breukelen Coffee... Sit & Wonder has a fancy name to pull me in magically. Stumptown coffee is served here of hot drinks in double shots. sit and wonder is definitely a good place to sit and wonder, sit and chat, sit and read, sit and work or just sit...i came here a couple of times, most of the time with friends. it's spacious, well lit, clean and most importantly has a very clean bathroom. i hate cafes with bad/dirty bathrooms. that is not the case here. the wifi is free, as it should be! and the coffee is good. the cups they serve for to stay are cute and has a homey feeling. there are plenty of room to sit but the place doesn't feel crammed. i prefer going here during the day on week days when there are less people and more room to sit and work. i've been here once on a weekend and it wasn't so bad, but certainly more crowded. overall, great neighborhood cafe! read more

I had a great time at Sit & Wonder earlier this week. The girl behind the counter was friendly and the iced coffee was strong, and only $3. There are a variety of milks (well, two or three) to choose from at a little station, along with sugar, syrup, and spoons to mix with. Any place that doesn't charge extra for soy milk is golden in my book. There is enough space for everyone to sit comfortably and for small talk, and a noticed a fare share of outlets. I sat in the garden, which had a good mix of spots to sit under an awning or out in the sun. A nice neighborhood spot that I'm sure I'll visit again. read more

I enjoy coming here to get work done. The coffee and pastries are tasty. I always find a place to sit even if that means sharing a table with someone I don't know. The staff is friendly too. It's definitely my fave coffee shop in the neighborhood, and I've tried just about all of them. read more

Stay for the great music, the neighborhood vibe, the book exchange or the croissants. Hidden deep in Prospect Heights is this tiny garage-sale decorated coffee and pastry shop. Good thing this tiny shop has Stumptown coffee, and donuts from nearby DOUGH. Nice people, many seats, and a backyard when it's nice. BONUS they know how to make proper foam for your cappuccino, and are actually nice. read more

In terms of coffee shops, Sit and Wonder has it in spades: they brew Stumptown, their sandwiches and pastries are delicious, and there's a garden to sit in and slowly (slowly!) work through your caffeine fix and snack. There are lots of coffee options in the neighborhood but this is my favorite. It's cozy without being cramped, the lady baristas are cuter and friendlier than other shops, they have free books to read, people smile here. Only bad side is that it's pretty tiny and sometimes there is nowhere to sit. Also not the best place to meet a friend and chat because it can also feel like a library. This is a great little coffee place - cozy and friendly, the coffee is delicious and the hangover helper sandwich is tasty. Beware that the wifi is deliberately turned off between 10am and 3pm on Saturdays - 'to create a more sociable atmosphere' a blackboard told us. We did talk to each other while we were there, but we may have stayed longer and bought more coffee with the wifi. read more

Needed to get out of the house to work on a paper and get some coffee. This place is clean, cozy, and the folks are nice. Ice coffee and huge chocolate cookie hit the spot. Wrote a paper and hung out for a few hours. Outlets are against the wall to the right as you walk towards the back. Clean bathroom, a crowded on a Tuesday afternoon but was still able to get a seat.
