Fortunately, there are parking garages in the vicinity if you're willing to walk a couple of blocks.

Finally, I had the chance to review. I went here 3 times on a whim. I love it here. They treat me like a princess every time and the food is delicious. First with a date who was also Indian and another who was Indian Muslim and one time by myself because I didn't feel like grocery shopping. OMG they were so nice to me and my dates and were very accommodating even at closing. Anyways these guys deserve 5 stars for cleanliness, great food, and speculator customer service. I don't remember what I ordered when I came alone but I remembered a fish entree with rice and an appetizer I ordered was delicious. And they always kept the water coming due to the spiciness of my food which was awesome. It's also awesome that it's close to home and reasonably priced. I'll definitely continue to keep giving these guys my business. read more

Sitar is a fantastic, authentic restaurant in the sort of business district on New Haven not 10 blocks from the Green. Waiters are friendly, food is outstanding and a to-go Chicken Curry can easily be split between 2 people! Try everything on the menu, including specialty drinks, desserts - take friends and family to the buffet! Too bad their landlords are the worst people in New Haven, but hey, Sitar seems to make it work. read more

Sitar is terrific! We go frequently for the lunch buffet, especially on weekends. The food is delicious and the staff is wonderful, especially Ashwin. At weekend brunches there are exceptionally good South Indian specialties. There is always a good assortment of vegetarian options. The combination of tasty, healthy food along with a friendly, comfortable ambience has kept us coming regularly for years. read more

I go to Sitar almost every day for lunch buffet since I work only 5 mins alway from it. Buffet is $8.95 which doesn't hurt at all and there food has that perfect indian spice to it. Nice place to dine out at and a very friendly service as well. They have so many diffrent entree to choose from but my favorite are the saag entrees. read more

Not worth the trip honestly. We came cause the reviews seemed good. But the food was not fresh. Our selection on cracker bread was stale. Which kinda instantly left a bad taste in my mouth. Everything else was just ok and priced too high. read more
