We were visiting South Haven for the weekend and thanks to my trusty Yelp! app, we found Six Chicks Scratch Kitchen. What a gem! Food portions are very favorable to those of us with healthy appetites. If you are petite or do not like larger portions, plan on sharing or taking food home with you! The food tasted amazing and even though we had to wait for a while before being seated due to the popularity of this establishment, it was definitely worth it. Very homey and warm ambiance made me feel as if I was at my Grandma's when I was a child. Servers were all very attentive and knowledgeable of menu offerings. They all seemed very personable as we watched them interact with their patrons. When we go back to South Haven, we will definitely make sure to dine at this gem! One of the best breakfast establishments I have been to in quite some time...

    Omelet, cooked to perfection! 10/10

Came here for the giant cinnamon roll and it was delicious!! We were driving back home after a weekend at the beach and decided to stop here along the way. The food was a 10/10. It is super hard to find a great breakfast place and it did not disappoint! They were very busy and groups were waiting to be seated but since we were just two people, we got sat right away. Only complaint I have is that our server greeted us once and we never saw her again but others were able to cater to us, most likely because it was so busy.

I've been there twice now, and got the farmers hash once, and the casserole the other time. I love, corned beef hash, and the farmers hash looked a little weird on the menu, but the taste was really great. The six chicks casserole was OK, otherwise this would be five stars. It was four-star worthy-- a little dense and a little dry, but OK flavor. I got a giant cinnamon roll to go, and nibbled on it for two days. It was very rich, and super delicious. I will anecdote: I had coffee, and the bus boy walked by, accidentally bumped my seat, and a large drop of dirty bin water popped into my coffee. No marks down for that. accidents happen

Was in town with my girlfriend and came in for breakfast before we left on a Sunday morning (pro tip- get there early as we arrived at 8 and got seated, left at about 9:15 and there was a 20-30 minute wait). Pros - Food was amazing! Great taste, flavor, and overall yumminess!! - Service was solid. Efficient, checked on customers, and seemed to care and enjoy work. - Prices were amazing! Cons - That they aren't in mid-state Indiana so I could eat it more often?

Six former women of Cousins (IYKYK) partnered together after its closure and opened Six Chicks - and we are so thankful. Its eclectic decor and extensive menu have me reminiscing of the diner that closed many years ago. It's become a family favorite of ours, and I definitely recommend it for your dining while in South Haven. The staff is friendly and kind. Summer in SW Michigan means everyone is on Lake Time, so be prepared to wait a little. Once seated you can sit back and relax while the team takes care of you. I ordered the Denver Omelette and it did not disappoint. It came with hash browns and toast and I left with an empty plate and full belly. I will definitely be back again soon. Thank you for a great experience!

After hearing about 6 Chicks many times. We finally made it for breakfast. Our waiter was very attentive and the food was really good. My husband ordered corn beef hash. It did say it had more onion than he likes. But it was a generous portion with real corn beef. I had eggs, sourdough toast, sausage patties and their house fries. I personally would have liked a little more seasoning on the house fries (that had both regular potato and sweet potato chunks). But I will admit, I like a lot of seasoning. I also had a very generous portion of food. The restaurant was clean and decorated really cute. We went in the "off season". So it wasn't too busy. A little more than half full. It's a great breakfast place. And will definitely be back.

Finished our two-day visit to South Haven with breakfast at Six Chicks. Pleasant little place with family atmosphere. Great food and friendly, efficient service. Probably the best cup of coffee I've had in a long time (learned it was Mosaic coffee).

Delicious breakfast, generous portions, friendly service. They seem to be taking lots of precautions during the pandemic.

We enjoyed the covered outdoor patio sitting area and great ambiance. This is such a smart beautiful little location Our waitress was very quick keep the water refills coming after a long day in the sun, and she had great recommendations. This place was hoping busy on a holiday weekend and we felt like we were her only table. Our family ate like royalty. From the amazing appetizers those stake nachos were banging good, but the spinach artichoke dip was on point, and stole the show! Buckle up because who in their right mind would make a pizza with crab Rangoon flavors... three blondes did, and it's delicious! while the pulled pork was good and anywhere else would have been perfect it was just good compared to all the amazing food on our table. What a wonderful problem to have so much epic food! And to top it all off, we had marvelous drinks from mixed berries cocktails to fantastic beers. I'm not from here, (thankfully) I'd be back daily! But my poor brother lives in the area and this place thunder struck him. He's already making plans to bring his friends back! It is first, first serve but we found around 7 pm, the bar was empty. If you don't mind this, I highly recommend for last minute planning. They were fried so you are staying clear of fried foods--I would skip this dish (it wasn't listed as fried). The cocktails and food was amazing. First of all, the drive to Fennville is gorgeous! We always love the rural landscape and the quaint town itself. Definitely a destination to visit. Second, the building itself is cute, rustic, inviting, and well-kept right in the heart of Fennville's adorable downtown. Third, the staff are so welcoming, kind, helpful, and professional. We especially loved our hostess (Chrissie/Christy?). She treated us so well and definitely talked us into some yummy extras Now to the food and drinks! The extensive cocktail, wine, and beer selection is high quality and specially curated. I had a hard time deciding, but I settled on the Sage Rub. It was so delicious and refreshing; not too sweet. I highly recommend it! My husband got the Bell's Hazy IPA, one of his favorites! We started with the Brussels sprouts and the bread board. The Brussels were decadent, crisp, and flavorful! The bread was such a rich array of tasty breads and butter/salt/pepper sides. We loved every bite! I got the house salad and my husband got the special. We each preferred our own salads, so that's good! I loved the house salad because of the light and refreshing vinegarette . The flavors were spot on. My husband liked that the special salad brought together a bunch of different flavors into a sweet/tangy delight! For our main entrees, both my husband and I were eying the Three Little Pigs pizza. He ended up getting and let me have a bite: so flavorful with high quality meats, cheese, and ingredients overall. So good! I got the Housemade pasta with beef tenderloin, charred onions, and mushroom sauce. It was literally divine and I cherished each and every bite. We would have loved to get dessert, but we were stuffed! Maybe next time? Prices are great, the space is clean/safe, and the portions are excellent.
