The place wasn't busy either. 3 people were served the same things we ordered who were seated after we ordered. There were just two of us so not a large party. Absolutely appalling service! We had a party of 5 and came in fairly early on a Sunday. We were originally told it would be a 20 minute wait, but it was actually closer to 45 minutes. After we finally got seated, the waitress rushed us to order and then did not come back for about 20 minutes, even failing to acknowledge our empty glasses and coffee cups. after another 45 minute wait, we finally got our lukewarm food. The waitress,Heather A., was very rude, even getting snippy when we politely asked the status of our food. She was not attentive and very unprofessional. We will not be back. We tried to eat here for brunch. The wait for a table of 4 was 30-35 min. We finally got our table after waiting 1 hr. Another family of 3 also waited an hour as the restaurant appeared to be seating tables of 2 in the booths that hold up to 4. When we finally sat down, we noticed that none of the tables around us had food. We spoke to a nearby table and they said they'd been waiting quite a while for their food. We decided to leave since it was clear that operationally they were struggling and that we'd probably end up waiting another 45 min for food. Also, our waitress was not wearing her face mask. Went to pick up our order and was told it wasn't ready and would be 5 minutes. We waited and then went back to see if it was ready and it still wasn't . After insisting the girl look and see what was going on she went through the order and proceeded to say she never placed the order, our 9:30 pick up was finally received about 20 minutes later. Horrible experience here last Sunday. When I pointed out to the waitress my breakfast order was wrong, she immediately began arguing with me and was insulting. I asked her to look at my order, she refused. I get better customer service at McDonald's. We came to six chicks today around 11. It was fairly busy. We waited about 15 minutes for a table. Not bad for a busy Sunday. Our server was so sweet and very attentive. We had to ask for a coffee refill just once. I don't mind that. Our food came pretty quickly. It was delicious. My husband had biscuits and gravy and he loved that. I had the classic breakfast with a sweet cream pancake. So good. Especially for the price. The restaurant is clean and charming. Overall, we had a really good experience. The food was really good. My husband had the special - patty melt and I had the whole grain pancakes. But our server kinda wrecked it. I had ordered a side of sausage with mine and didn't receive it. Couldn't catch her eye. When she finally came to ask if everything was alright, the bill in hand, I said I had ordered the sausage and to please make sure it wasn't on the bill and that I didn't want it now. She grabbed the bill back and said 'I got it'. She returned and slapped it back down on our table, with no comment. My husband asked that I NOT talk to her manager. But not even an "I'm sorry"? Thought we would give this new to SH restaurant a try. Chose to go on a Saturday morning just when they were short 2 staff. Wait was long but food was VG. I had the corned beef hash with poached eggs. They did the hash well don as I requested. I suggest they add some grilled onions, celery and green pepper and it will rate a 10. When we asked what was taking so long all we got was excuses. No apology, no discount offered. My biggest problem with this place is they took no responsibility for the poor service. We've stopped coming in but decided to try again since seasonal rush is over in this area. Sadly same experience. Very very slow kitchen. We just had our second meal here, and both times we were happy!! The first tome my husband and I both had salads. They were tremendous and delicious!!! We took half home which we finished for dinner. The vegetables were all fresh!! The second time we had omelets. The eggs were deliciously well-done, and the veggies were fresh. They were great about substituting fruit for my potatoes. The servers were friendly and re-filled our coffee and water without having to ask!! This is definitely our go-to breakfast and lunch restaurant. And, they have a great and inexpensive kids menu! And by far the most attentive and friendly service I've ever had at a place in town. Get the cinnamon roll. We drove by this restaurant on the way to another place. We decided to turn around. What a great decision. Homemade corned beef hash is my hubby's favorite. He was in heaven. I had poached eggs and ordered a cinnamon bun. OMG, it was the best thing ever and they give you two on the order. They are huge!! Light and airy. I wish I did not live 800 miles away or I'd go there frequently. So, you gotta go and have some cinnamon buns. read more
