Photo near entrance and where you catch shuttle bus
    Jennifer P.

I don't even know where to start so I guess the only place is the beginning. I have a Six Flags prestige pass so I can get into any SF pass this year. I had 3 days to kill between when my 10 year old got out of school before starting summer school, tickets to the Bay area are inexpensive from my city, I had enough credit card points to cover my hotels so my trip cost me a rental car and souvenirs. The hotel I stayed at was within 2 miles from here so the trip was quick. The drive into the park is long. You go up for a while then see the booth. Scanned in and saw the buses. SO MANY busses. School busses and charter buses. I knew I was in trouble. Parked and then had to walk. And walk and walk. It was almost 3/4 of a mile from the parking lot to the entrance and I had "close" parking. Got to the entrance and saw they have shuttle buses (not sure what time they start running). Got into the park and had to get to the fast lane site. Had some difficulty getting into it but came across the first ride on fast lane which was Cobra. This was a short quick ride that is geared more towards children. We got to sit in the front row by the snake head which was the coolest part. The cars are small and cramped. Onto the next ride. Kong. I had prepared and watched videos but nothing prepares you for the roughness that is this ride. All the fast lane entrances are impossible to find at this park. They advertise the single lane quick queue but do not clearly label the fast lanes at many rides (Kong, Medusa) so we had to ask employees. We rode Medusa and that was by far the best ride in the park. We rode all the rides on the fast lane: 1. Batman- it was ok, 2. Boomerang-so rough, so many regrets riding this, 3. Cobra, 4. Kong, 5. Medusa, 6. Monsoon Falls-you can get soaked. We were moderately wet and it was the last ride we did. 7. Roadrunner Express-this is a jr coaster in the looney tune world and we skipped it. 8. Sidewinder safari-they had the fast lane blocked with a trash can so we waited in line. Not worth the wait. It was a smoother type coaster than others in this genre but we didn't get a lot of spin. 9. Sky screamer - it was a cool concept and different type of a swing 10. Superman ultimate flight - this we also got front row and this type of ride is not for me. I don't like the going back wards, and build up before you get through the ride. This after Medusa was the most interesting ride 11. The Flash vertical velocity -this is also not my jam. It was kind of like a swing though and the backwardsness did not bother me as much on this 12. The joker - this was broken down most of the day and we finally caught it when open. It was a good smooth ride until it wasn't. I prefer Twisted Colossus at SFMM (our "home" park). 13. Wonder Woman lasso of truth we skipped as it is like Crazanity at SFMM our home park. 14. The ark was closed but if it had been open I would not have ridden it. It is small swinging boat ride in some murky green water. 15. White Water safari was also closed Our ride on boomerang took us up into the area of the park where the animals are. We got to see the bengal cubs frolicking which was cool. We did a quick lap around the animals and the enclosures are small and the animals look sad. I actually wanted to avoid seeing them as the ones I saw all looked miserable (cheetahs and penguins - all huddled under the umbrella with their pink heads literally keeps me awake at night. I cannot unsee it). We have the meal plan but could only get one meal in due to the large amount of people in the park (mostly school groups middle or high school kids). I got fish at Seamoore Cott, chicken fingers for kidlet. Both came with fries. Both were meh. Despite all the people being in the park there were many places that were not open (food wise). We also have the Slurpee/hot cocoa pass and could only find one place open that had Slurpees. We got here at open 11am and were done and ready to go at 3:30pm. The buses were running and we hopped one to go back to our car. I left this place feeling sad that this is the only amusement park the bay area will be left with after CGA closes (foreshadowing I went to CGA). Overall I can now say I went to this park and I do not feel a need to come back.

I honestly can't recall how many times we've visited Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, but every trip always feels like a different experience. This time, the weather was perfect -- not too hot -- which made the whole day even more enjoyable. We got to enjoy all the rides that my little one wanted to try, and seeing how excited and happy he was made the visit extra special. When we asked him which ride was his favorite, he basically loved them all! The seal and sea lion show was also incredible -- very entertaining and fun to watch. Another highlight for us was the playground area. It was such a hit for our son and also gave us parents a chance to sit down and rest a little while he happily played around. Overall, this is truly such a wonderful place for families. There's a great mix of rides, shows, and kid-friendly activities that make the experience enjoyable for both children and adults. One thing that could definitely be improved though is the restroom maintenance. I understand the park gets extremely busy, but some restrooms could be cleaner, and a few cubicles didn't even have hooks for purses or bags, which was a little inconvenient.

I don't know if it's only me. But Six Flags is not how it used to be years ago. Seems like you seen more friendly and happier staff, these days they just have the look on their face like "ughh another day". Food selection here is not so great, but you eat anyways because you're hungry.

    girl not replacing my fries

0 stars if possible cause I got the sweet corn dog with fries at the Korean Corn Dog place and underneath the fries there was a mosquito. I went back and asked the supervisor to get a replacement and this girl said that she couldn't replace the fries. I wasn't asking for more than my moneys worth. Stingy as hell and deadbeat supervisor. Food not even good, burnt, and chalky.

I don't usually leave reviews like this, but people should know what they're walking into with Six Flags. This place is honestly the armpit of amusement parks. From the moment you walk in, it feels run-down and neglected. Nothing feels updated, clean, or well-maintained. You can tell this park has been left behind while others have evolved. It doesn't have that fun, exciting amusement park energy; it feels tired. The biggest issue? The lines. It honestly doesn't matter whether you pay extra for a fast pass; you're still standing around forever. And what made it even worse was that THREE separate times we waited in line, got close to the front, and then the ride shut down. No real explanation, no urgency to fix it, just wasted time. At that point, you're not even enjoying your day; you're just frustrated and stuck. What really crossed the line for me, though, was the condition of the animals. The fish tanks looked like they hadn't been properly cleaned in years. No real plants, cloudy water, just depressing to look at. It's 2026; there's no excuse for that. It didn't feel like care or respect for the animals at all. That alone made the place feel uncomfortable, and honestly, it shouldn't be allowed. We also ate at JB's Sports Bar & Grill, and that was another disappointment. The food was overpriced, low-quality, and tasted terrible. The ordering process was completely disorganized, with long waits, confusion, and staff who seemed overwhelmed. For what you pay, you expect at least decent food and a smooth experience, and this was neither. The overall vibe of the park just felt off. It attracts a certain kind of crowd, and combined with how run-down everything is, it doesn't feel like a place you want to spend your time or money. Bottom line: I would not recommend this place. Between the constant ride shutdowns, poor upkeep, questionable animal conditions, and bad food, it's just not worth it. This park seriously needs major improvements across the board, or it shouldn't be operating at all.

If you live in the bay area there are two options for a theme park - Six Flags and Great America. Both are fun and good alternatives to Disneyland. Disneyland got so expensive over the years.... everything got expensive over the years - but still if you live in the bay area you don't have to worry about hotels and long travel costs that come with going to LA. Little kids might enjoy Disneyland more and Great America and Six Flags is more aimed toward young adults. I like this park and have great memories especially as a kid - perfect to go to on a summer vacation for a day trip. Some roller coasters and some animal attractions. Near the highway and easy from San Francisco or similar area.

I have not visited this theme park since back in early 2000's when it was Marine World. My family and I had a fantastic time. We upgraded our tickets to fast lane and we also purchased two meal plans included drinks. Every 90 minutes we were able to get food/snacks and every 15 minutes we could get refills on drinks. The burger and fries meal sets you back 24.99 so our meal plan saved us over 100 dollars. Something I highly recommend if you plan on going with kids. The meals come with fries so they are easily shareable. For my group of 4 we purchased 2 meal plans and we all left the park very satisfied. The rollercoasters are very comparable to what six flags magic mountain in Valencia has. But my personal opinion is that discovery kingdom is a much nicer park and the weather is also much more cooler. The animal exhibits are also a very nice addition. Overall I highly recommend this park, they have thrill rides, slower relaxed rides, and a decent collection of kiddie rides for the little ones. It's a theme park/Zoo, which I think is incredible. There is definitely something for everyone.

I had a great time at Six Flags even though a lot of the reviews I see are negative. Good: - We got the FLASH Premium pass and it was absolutely the right call - we barely waited in line, and when the Batman ride opened at night we got on after about 15 min in line instead of 90 minutes - We went for the Fright Fest as well, and the mazes were well done! I liked the haunted mansion the best, club fear wasn't that great since it was very empty and not as many actors inside. The spooky vibes were great and the actors seemed to have a good time - My favorite rides were the Joker, Batman, and the Wonder Woman Lasso ride, that's definitely the longest ride. Superman was also high thrill. - The park wasn't super busy on a Saturday, and parking was easy as well. Very walkable - Dolphin show had cool tricks, but the talk track is definitely for kids Bad: - Food is really expensive, $20 for basically a single slice of pizza and salad - Gets really hot during the day, but cool during the night so bring layers Overall this was a really great experience and would come again

Tired And COLD At Six Flags Vallejo, CA Came With My Fiancée And Mt. Toro H.S. Postpone Club. I Had To Come Back And Add A Comment Since The Business Owner Replied; So The Reason I Didn't Emphasize The COLDNESS Enough Was I Just Wasn't Trying To Keep Typing When My Fingers Were FROZEN..!! I Forgot To Mention That The Park Staff We're I'll Prepared For How Truly COLD It Was. NO Warming Stations Finally Later In Evening Staff Were Rolling Out Those Outdoor Heaters Sporadically About The Park. And Finally We Found Some Relief. But Second Thought For Staff.

Cheap passes but everything has an up charge and the concessions are horribly overpriced (think $11 soft serve or $18 16oz Modelo beer). The lines are slow making it difficult to get in too many rides with the late opening time. This trip I was bummed when the season pass I was given when I entered wasn't valid. I found out when I tried to get my 10% discount on food. I spent at least 1/2 hour in the guest relations line to get the pass error fixed. I was told if I wanted to get refunded the overcharged 10%, I could go back to the restaurant and try to speak to a supervisor. This was a big waste of my time for their error and it wasn't even completely resolved. The butterfly pavilion was a highlight. **sent my review and concerns to customer service as directed in the business response. Will update my review with follow up** Edited to include a pic of the response I received from customer service and a screenshot of gold pass perks. Maybe the food I purchased actually did not qualify for a discount, but I could not find anything in the fine print or FAQs. 10% of my purchase would've been like a $3 refund. I really just wanted to see how the company would handle my issue after the kind response to my review saying to reach out to customer service so they could make it right. Dropped this review down a star from 2 to 1.

White Tiger completely knocked out on the ground by the fence near everyone after he poked him 4 times.

Lines are ok, animal homes are small, don't really like the food, food prices are high. I think the looney tunes area and shows are cute besides some of the animal encounters. Last weekend on 6/14/26 there was an animal attraction with the white tigers and one of the tigers was COMPLETELY knocked out. Everyone was watching and looked worried. I asked the tourist if he was sleeping and he proceeds to poke the white Tiger 4 times and sarcastically says, "see he's sleeping." It was pretty weird and he looked really annoyed, but nervous when I asked. How can you poke a tiger super hard without it waking up? Why was he breathing so slow and just completely knocked out on the ground for so long? There was also a huge brawl fight last fright fest so it felt unsafe to bring kids. Also, so many rides were down! Anywho we won't be renewing our season passes and I wouldn't recommend this park for its season pass. Maybe just going once in a lifetime or during their holiday events.

    Sorry Kya, too short :(
    Eric J.

If you want to truly have a good time, come as soon as they are open! Get on the main rides you want to enjoy or come late & get ready to battle it out with the people that paid for fast passes. Other than that, enjoy.

Live alligator in a small enclosure next to a loud rollercoaster. Animal is not in a good environment.

This is one of the "newer" rides at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, I think it was chosen because it's…read morea clone of already existing 4D rides at other Six flags parks, and it's very "space saving" in the sense it doesn't occupy a lot of land. I think my aging body has a harder time riding rides like these and I prefer actual "roller coasters" like Medusa and Joker. If you ride in the seats facing the dolphin area (facing RIGHT when you are looking at the ride at the entrance of the line), I feel like it's way scarier LOL. It's just so spinny (and I think you swing more if you and your seat mate are heavier maybe? Someone who's good at physics pls weigh in). I felt like I had to close my eyes to not be so scared haha. I would say this is worth going on if the wait is shorter than 15 minutes, otherwise I don't love it. Also I would recommend not wearing sandals to the park because they do make you take off slides flip flops if you're wearing them (since your shoes would probably just fly off with all the rotation), but sometimes after raining, the floor below this ride can be very wet and have lots of puddles (so good luck getting off without getting your feet/socks wet lol).

So this coaster is a 4th dimensional free spin spinning coaster it is a clone of its design as there are various other ones at some other Six Flags Parks so i believe this was my 3rd or 4th one that I've ridden. So this coaster just isn't for me as I don't like how it spins and I don't like the restraints as well as the whole concept of the ride I just feel it's more rough than fun as it just kinda hurts my upper body every time but that's just me you might have a different experience than I do! Overall this is a great addition to a park that doesn't have a lotta land but to be honest I wish they would have gotten something else as I just really don't like these types of coasters.

Harley Quinn Crazy Coaster is World's First Dueling Looping Coaster basically it's two big loops attached to each other with a big snake like train crawling along it's twisty path of crazy face to face looping fun this is also the first kind of this type of coaster ever built a prototype if you say so of the classic looping ride that's just one continuous loop. Your ride starts off rocking back and forth before you start taking in the total looping head to head fun once you get going you are going around in the two big circles a few times then it's all said and done! The coaster it self is a pretty cool design the way it is just massive motion going in one direction with so much force it does give a little bit of a rough ride but still fun in its own loud way as in this coaster does create quite a bit of noise wile it is in motion. Overall this is a fun awesome new addition to the park and I definitely did enjoy the few rides I took with Harley Quinn!

The restraints are uncomfortable as there is a lot of head banging and both times they staple you in. It is very loud as well. I would say skip this and if you like those types of rides go on dive devil. But if you are curious go on a walk on. Kong and boomerang are still the worst rides.

Superman is the other one and I personally think that one is better than The Flash, but that does not mean The Flash has no presence in Discovery Kingdom here. The coaster itself looks pretty small as there isn't a lot of track, but that's mainly because it's a launch coaster that goes back and forth. It reminded me a lot like the now defunct Deja Vu in some ways. Outside the loading dock, there are two ways you can go -- one in an ultra-twisted inline curve, and the other that goes straight up 90 degrees. So you're kinda all over the place for this ride, but you're definitely in for a treat. With maximum speeds of 60 mph and going as high as 150 ft, the ride may seem like it's not much but there's truly a lot to offer. There's a lot of surprises while riding this out, so make sure to check this ride out when you're at the park !

The launch is great and I like the custom slanted twisted spike so everyone gets to go upside down which Six Flags Great America's did not have. I like Steel Venom at Valleyfair more because it has the holding brakes on the vertical back-spike. So this ride I would recommend for kids under the age of 17 would enjoy. But people over the age of 39 probably wouldn't enjoy it because there are some rough patches.
