Had a AMAZING DAY! I was thrilled on Batman and Gold rusher! Tatsu is one I didn't go one but looked like so much fun!! I loved Roaring rapids! The worker Brandon who gave us the instructions was so nice! After our first 3 times going on it, we asked if we can go again and we were able to skip a line! He was super kind letting us skip the line! It you lie getting wet that water ride is for you! If you don't like it then don't go. But roaring rapids is a must for sure. My group of 10 people including me loved the experience of being there because Brandon was letting us have the time of out lives! My groups thinks Brandon who works at Roaring Rapids deserves a raise! If you plan on going on Roaring Rapids don't bring a backpack or bag because everything will get all wet. Also don't wear new shoes if you go because they will get soaked, and so will you! All the rides looked so fun. If it's ver your first time at 6 flags and you hate heights I suggest don't go on Goliath, Wonder Woman and twisted collases. I am honestly regretting my desicoin about not going on collases because it looked amazing!. My friends came back and said it was awesome! Twisted collases is must if you go for your first time! Came here for my step daughters birthday. The staff was wonderful throughout the whole park. There were rides closed due to weather, which is understandable. Others were closed due to maintenance unfortunately. We all had a good time. Food and drinks are expensive! So be prepared. The cool thing is on the last ride of the night my BF lost his phone. We filled out the lost and found form. To be honest, I really didn't think they would find his phone as it was a crazy ride. But a week later, they found it! Unbelievable! I'm a prestige pass holder and I usually come to the park twice a week when my schedule permits. For the most part I have fun. Sometimes I purchase a fadt lane pass on busy days like this week due to spring break. I spend way too much time and money hear to have to deal with rude ride operators. For the most part they are very kind and I make sure that I am kind to them as well but yesterday the 1st of April my experience on Goliath was less then ideal. When you walk thru the fast lane line you basically have to walk through the exit ramp and then go down the stairs and then walk back up to enter in the back of the line. There is a turnstile and no one was over there and I had no clue where to wait even though I have been there a million times. Long story short I waited past the turnstile as I had zero clue where to wait to get my fast pass scanned. A worker with dark curly hair and appeared to be maybe early 20's was very rude when asking me to back up. Keep in mind I am in no one's way and there is no clear sign saying where one should wait. I back up in front of the turnstile and this jerk proceeds to motions and loudly yell "ALL THE WAY BACK". I gave him a look snd told him he didn't need to shout anf be rude. I come to MM for a mental day from the hustle and bustle of life. We are all going through something but being a little kind can go a long way. I didn't let him ruin my experience but it is frustrating when you pay a lot to experience a good time. I literally come weekly. read more

Six flags has gone waaaayyy downhill in terms of customer service. They are clearly understaffed - the person serving food also had to take payments. There were no efficiencies of a production line or organization from management arranging staffing in set positions to cater to the volume and reduce wait times. It took over an hour to get food and the line wasn't even that long. Then multiple young (rude) kids just cut in line as there were no staff manning or arranging for lines which is not cool when you've paid the same amount as others and they disregard that. Magic Mountain has improved over the years but has ways to go before reaching the caliber of Cedar Point, Disneyland or Universal Studios. Many areas of the park are very dated, carrying on a faded 90s aesthetic. It is time to repave the entire park, add foliage and trees, and repaint structures to give the park a modern appearance. The roller coasters are good but they're the only appeal of the park with many of them running terribly. Viper, Scream, Apocalypse, Ninja, Gold Rusher, and X2 are not smooth rollercoasters. They need serious maintenance to keep them running smooth but they feel neglected. The operations are downright abysmal. Many staff members seem to be in no rush getting people in and out of rides, food stalls or guest services. A good majority are nice enough but some are down right rude. I'm a bit surprised since Cedar Fair bought Six Flags, I would've thought their training methods from Cedar Point would be transferred over. It's still miles better than what it was 10 years ago and the park is still overall a lot of fun. I just wish this park would continue for the better. read more

I haven't been to Six flags in a really long time. I have to say it has gotten so much better. I'm noticing alot of improvements. They have solar panels in the parking lot now which is great. More shade. Word of advice, if you can buy your ticket online you'll save a bit. It's more at the gate. Park is alot cleaner; that entails the restroom and the whole park. Alot of different options for food now. The lines have gotten alot better. More options available to check out the length of time you may spend in the line. Just like everything else it's not 100% accurate because things happen but definitely helpful. You can check wait times for rides via the app and around the park. So many cool rides now. My favorites are: wonder woman, west coast racers, twisted colossus and tatsu! I would say they have lengthy waits but I think wonder woman that tends to be the longest wait but 1000% worth it! I would say flash pass is extremely convenient. They have 3 tiers. It is pricey especially if you have more people in your group but I would say having the flash pass this last time made my time here the best it's ever been! So if you have the money to splurge on it I highly recommend. Just hope they don't raise the price any higher Hahah. The one recommendation I would give is I notice they have large fans near the game play and eating areas, I think putting some of those near the rides where you wait somehow would be nice especially on hott days. Even small water spritzers would be great!. Other than that I think I'll be back soon. I'm glad Six flags has made some positive changes. Also found out that if you are a Diamond Member you get access to ALL six flags theme parks and Water parks. Seems their are more perks for Seasonal holders and different options. The advertising is completely misleading -- they don't tell you that if you don't have a season pass, you won't be allowed in. On top of that, the staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. Six Flags Magic Mountain was one of the parks that I use to go to when I was a teen back in the day. It was fun with a large group and it seemed exciting to come here. Things have changed since and I don't think I like how it is being runned now. There are not enough employees here and even getting into the park to pay for parking can take about 40 minutes. After that, you have to go and get searched through which takes a long process as well. Overall I wouldn't suggest coming here during the summer as I did. It was blazing hot and there aren't any shaded areas around this entire park! Water ran out from the stores and also the dispensers by half the day!!! I couldn't even believe it. This was insane and we asked so many employees and they were all sold out of everything liquid. The lines for food is unbelievable and it took us about an hour to get something to snack on. Overall my experience wasn't as fun as when I was a kid. But the roller coaster rides were still a thrill. read more

Calling all thrill seekers!! Ditch Disney and raise your flags Six Flags, Magic Mountain is hands down amazing!! Pro tip- if you are doing multiple days in the park, go grab the season pass deal from a California Costco! This comes with parking and 4 skip the line passes!! Way worth it. Also comes with priority entry into hurricane harbor, the adjacent water park. Go early!!! Park opens at 10:30am, but they start letting people in before, and the line is long. Avoid Saturdays unless you have a flash pass, and hit "X2" right when the park opens. Also if you hear "Superman" (you will hear it!) then run over, 'cause that ride shuts down all the time. We got so lucky as we were the last group to ride before it was closed for the rest of the weekend. Hurricane harbor is more kid friendly, but there are some great slides for kids and an awesome wave pool. Thanks for the great time Magic Mountain! read more

Customer service sucks throughout the park. Purchased online tickets for the wrong park and they wouldn't exchange them. Lady was rude and made us buy new tickets. My most recent visit to Magic Mountain was met with a lot of unpleasantries to say the least. For starters, the price of General Parking has been hiked up to 40$. 40 fucking dollars! A ticket to get into the park alone is about 60$ so for them to charge that much just for parking is absolutely ridiculous. I couldn't believe it. Thankfully, the parking situation wasn't too terrible as we went on a Monday and there was not too many people at the park. After going inside, we headed straight to Tatsu only to see that it was closed for the day :/ . My friend whom I went with had very much been looking forward to riding that ride as he had not been to Six Flags in years and it was closed. Later we saw that entire section of the park was closed and all the rides in it including Superman and Ninja. This was a huge bummer. After walking around the park a little bit, we noticed a lot of the park was closed and not to mention dirty lol. Trash everywhere and a slew of smells ranging from gasoline to piss. It's abhorrent. what is this theme park dude, who tf comes here if not for a season pass??? For context, I went on a Thursday right when it opened, paid 2 x $45 for tickets and $20 parking. If you insist on coming to this inhumane park, GO ON THE RIDES YOU LOOK FORWARD TO EARLY, THE LINES GET SOOO LONG LATER ON IN THE DAY. Here's my list of negative experiences at the theme park: 1. Around 11am, after I queued for the Viper, the line for X2 was decently long. I witnessed riders get stuck for about 15-30mins on the ride, and waited an additional 45mins for the ride to reopen. Looking back, I got lucky I even got to ride the X2 tbh. Ride was 10/10 tho. 2. Around 12:30pm, lines all around were starting to get super long, so I decided to rush to the rear of the park and saw a relatively short line for Apocalypse. About 5 minutes after queueing up, we were told the ride was closed. No worries, we'd just go on ahead to other rides, such as west coast racers...right? Nah, turns out all the rides were freaking closed. Everybody around me was also wondering and complaining about how literally every single ride at the back half of the park was temporarily shut off. The staff didn't know what was going on either. At least tell us what's going on? I sat around for an hour in the desert heat. 3. Speaking of desert heat, there are NO misters at any of the ride lines. The only misters I saw while walking around the park was AT THE CARNIVAL AREA. How they gonna have enough money and water to run fountains and closed water rides, but not enough money, nonetheless DECENCY, to install misters or at least fans in a theme park built in 100F temperatures??? 4. I understand COVID is somewhat still a thing, but standing in line for various "big boy" rides to see them go over over without passengers must be infuriating as hell. As I was waiting for the park to reopen, I saw rides go on and on and on with 0 passengers. Other times, I saw many rows of empty seats with people filling up the rest. It's almost as if the park had a reopening where they tested rides before opening, but midway through the day! 5. I rode a few more kiddie rides since all the big ones had lines about an hour or two along, according to the mobile app. Is it really worth waiting an hour to ride a 30 second ride under the scorching desert sun with water that tastes like absolute garbage? The app wasn't even updated for the full,, extensive list of ride closures during my visit.. I left early, around 3PM, since I was fed up with the entire park. These are the 5 major thoughts I had exiting the park. There were also some rides that were closed, and other rides that were pretty damn uncomfortable. 6 flags in Vallejo and Great America in Santa Clara (in the bay area in NorCal) are much better experiences than this joke of a park. Overall a 0/5 stars if possible. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME, MONEY, and SANITY. I've been to a good number of amusement parks around the US, and I must say Magic Mountain is pretty good in my opinion. I think they definitely have some innovative roller coasters, including X2 which I was literally mind blown after riding. I also like that they offer tiered monthly memberships that have multiple benefits depending on which tier to choose. I've been to the park twice in the past 2 months and I've had a good time. Pros: 1. Innovative, fun roller coasters 2. Monthly membership plans (which include benefits such as retail/dining discounts, skip the line passes, free parking, etc) 3. The mobile app allows you to navigate the park, find out ride wait times, purchase food, etc. Cons: 1. Many rides were not running on some days. 2. The food options included on the dining plans are limited. 3. This park is many hills and slopes so may not be the best option for people with limited mobility. read more

The reality of this place is that it is unwilling to make necessary changes to provide an enjoyable experience for park goers. The park consistently opens later than advertised and when it does open many of the attractions will still remain closed for another half an hour or more. Six Flags no longer takes pictures on the rides or at the entrance, the one video they take on Full Throttle was blurry, so forget about having wonderful memories of your loved ones' first time at the park. If you are seen taking pictures or video during a ride, they stop the ride. There are NO signs around informing patrons of this fact, instead "ride employees" rudely approach you upon exiting the ride, while someone else announces it to the world on the mic, "The ride was stopped because the person wearing such and such was recording or taking pictures." Y'all... there ain't enough bleach in the world to clean this place up. The best word I can't think of is GRIME, it's disgusting. I've been a season pass holder for a few years now, I have young children, so I would go and usually just hang out in the Loony Toons World portion of the park. Today 4/15/23 around noon it took about 45 minutes to park.., with a preferred parking pass. Unacceptable. There's only a few rides in the Loony Toon World.. so why we're most of them not running? Weather balloons, canyon blaster Daffy Duck tour bus, and another roller coaster, all not running. And there's always around 4 employees at the looney toons lodge has standing doing nothing at the podium... like, go attend a ride or something!!! There's duck shit everywhere... Then today there was a huge chunk of concrete missing so they just threw some boards over it and yes my kid tripped over it and cried. The "dress code" is also laughable. Zero class. The park is one big unsupervised teenager that needs a reality check. Sad to say I won't be continuing being a pass holder. That's 2 platinum memberships, a parking pass and the dining pass. Such a great time! The dining pass is definitely not worth it and a couple of the rides were closed. The reason being, the quality of food was poor and the staff moved extremely slow. $40 for the lowest parking tier and $135 per person for the fast pass for the lowest tier?! SUCH ROBBERY. But we did it to survive the hot July day of over 100 degrees. We made good use of our fast passes but it was just so overpriced. But I couldn't imagine standing in long 1-2 hour lines for 20 second rides, so we had to. The office where you go to get fast passes, now just consists of a couple of workers who just stand there and tell you to go online to buy the fast pass. Everything is digital now. So what happens if you don't have a smart phone or your phone is dead? About $22 for the reusable souvenir drink bottle with unlimited refills for the day, which was actually worth it. But only because we found some drink stations where we could refill on our own and eateries that had no lines. However, stations often were out of ice. I haven't been to 6 flags in years so it has changed a lot. No more photos at the end of rides, cash only, and everything is truly digital. No paper maps anymore, which was frustrating because we were forced to use up our batteries on our cell phones. Bring a handheld fan, mister, frozen water bottle, a personal hydro flask, and a portable phone charger in order to survive a long, hot day at this park. Everything is overpriced. I saw that water is $9 and pizza with a small side is $17. We ate at McDonald's before entering the park and shared a snack to save some money. Maybe it's because of Covid-19 aftermath but the staff, rides, and park are ran down and ghetto as of July 25 2021. From the start of security they do not allow people to carry gimbals (attachment for phone to record) but do not list it anywhere .... Not even online... Then they have to lockers to put things when you have to park a mile away and take a shuttle to get to the ONE main gate! On top of that staff in particular are young and depending on where you go it's a mixed bag of professionalism! Some were amazing... While some need to just stay in highschool. In some areas the restrooms were clean while others was a complete dumpster fire.... Not all the rides are open...and the food lines are longer than the ride lines.... All in all it's worth going but get a membership rather than buying a ticket if you plan on going more than one time. I do not recommend getting the season pass. They scam you. I recently purchased and they said each pass has (4) tickets for guest at the price at $29.99. There was no blackout dates. The only requirement was that it had to be used before Labor Day. I went to magic mountain recently and they said the terms changed. It's a run around to get in contact with corporate. Brought my brother and kids to Six Flags Magic Mountain, so here are some tips from our recent experience: - Choose what works best for your family (daily ticket, season pass, or membership). There's a significant difference between them, but the price difference isn't too bad. We have gold plus memberships. - Check daily park hours and make your reservation online once you have your ticket/pass/membership (you'll choose what time you want to enter and you'll need to show the workers your reservation time confirmation before you go to the temperature check) - For a weekday (Thursday) wait times were long for the more popular rides. The six flags app has the wait times, but sometimes they're not accurate. We probably only rode on half of the coasters this visit. - Check the weather because you'll need a hydro flask (or park beverage, like the refill bottles while waiting in line) and sunblock - Card payments only - You can use the app for mobile food orders. - Covid mitigations: they'll only seat your group together. Other riders will have their own row/cart. Sanitizers everywhere and markings on the ground for social distancing. - Bring comfy walking shoes, you'll be doing a lot of walking. - No food recommendations from this trip, because we just hit up Mc Donald's before turning to the park Overall, fun experience! The rides and food were amazing BUT this guy Jeremiah, an African American who what seems to have twists or dreads working the concession stand to refill drinks right in front of Tatsu ride entrance. I was 3rd person in line and bro took 30 min to REFILL drinks, once it was my turn you could tell he had no motivation at all for his job and such a lack of effort with every movement he did. Six Flags Magic Mountain uses confusing and misleading practices to bait customers into appearing to buy single-day or single-month Flash Passes that then continue billing monthly as "annual contracts," which they will refuse to cancel for any reason. Not even cell phone companies are this predatory in 2025. This is unacceptable business behavior, and potential visitors to the park should be warned that their attempts to buy single-day or single-month Flash Passes may in fact be pulling them into small-print commitments which-unlike with any reasonable modern company subscription-cannot be canceled. Customer service, if you can reach them, will be completely unhelpful. This was my first time to Six Flags Magic Mountain that I can recall. It was a lot of fun! My husband and I brought our 3-year-old with us and she had a blast riding on roller coasters for the first time. We got here on Sunday around 1:30 p.m. and stayed until 7:30 p.m. I got the Black Friday deal for the Gold Plus Membership which includes free parking that usually costs $20 every time, so that's a great deal already, and my husband already has a standard season pass with no extra perks. Below are the perks I have: GOLD PLUS Featured Benefits: - Admission to All Outdoor Theme Parks and Waterparks - Includes Parking Every Visit - Unlimited Admission to Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park - Six Flags Rewards Program - 5% off Most Food & Drinks - Discounts on VIP Tours, THE FLASH Passes, Picture Passes, Dining Passes, Cabanas, and More - Member-Only Appreciation Events There are three tiers above the Gold Plus that have way more and better benefits (Platinum, Diamond, and Diamond Elite), so definitely check them out on the Six Flags website. We only went on the children's rides since we had our toddler with us, but we definitely want to come back another time with friends and go on the adult rides in the future. We didn't bring a stroller so we rented one for $10 (plus another $10 deposit to hold it, which you'll get back after you return the stroller). It took about 20 minutes of waiting in line to get one, so my child and I went on the big carousel about five times while waiting for my husband to rent the stroller. She loved it! I definitely recommend getting a stroller if you didn't bring one with you, as your little one may not want to walk and stand around, and you're not going to want to carry them all day. When we were queuing for the kids' rides, there thankfully weren't long lines. Even some of the small kids' roller coasters were fun for parents to go on with a few twists, turns, and drops. When you're finished with each ride, there are plenty of hand sanitizer stations at every ride, and the bathrooms are clean. When we were finished with the kids' rides, we walked around and saw Santa and Mrs. Claus' "house" which was really cool. Mrs. Claus was outside with some elves, visiting with little kids and their parents. There were many long tables and chairs set up with free arts and crafts, Christmas-themed coloring pages, and fill-in-the-blank letters to Santa that you could do with your kids. My daughter got to meet Mrs. Claus, who came around to our table and made sure to address my child by her name, commented on how lovely her artwork was, and made her feel special. Once we were done with the arts and crafts, we wanted to go and see Santa. He was inside, taking photos with another family so we had to wait outside until they were done. One of Santa's elves, this nice young woman who was a very convincing elf, read the book Frosty the Snowman to us while we waited, so that was really nice. She stayed in character and we really enjoyed interacting with her. We initially only wanted to have our kid say hi to Santa since we weren't trying to spend a bunch of money, but we saw that there was a package where we could do just one picture up to 8" X 10" for only $20, so we decided on that. Even though we weren't wearing Christmas-themed clothing at all, the photo still turned out great and came with a paper frame. The man playing Santa was honestly the best Santa I've ever come across, as he was so warm and friendly and really made my daughter who's usually shy around strangers, so happy to meet him. 10/10 would recommend for your little ones. After visiting Santa and getting our photo with him, we walked towards the exit and I spotted the funnel cake shop and we had to get one as it smelled so good walking by. There was already a line, which took about 15 minutes to wait through. I received a 5% off discount on my funnel cake; I believe our total came out to be $13 or so. My daughter picked the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae Funnel Cake and it was huge and soooo good! I'm not even a fan of fruit mixed with ice cream and wow, it was delicious. I don't know how these Teens can manage to go on lots of Loops or deep drop rides all day ;) When I'm with them here in Six Flags, my Favorite Ride is TWISTED COLOSSUS, and that's it for an old lady like me ;) Some rides are closed, but some went back up fast, the Teens that were with us have no Complaints about how long the Line 'coz I believe that their CHIT-CHATTING pre-occupied them while they are in the Line. Plus me, who doesn't go to the ride with them, I will Line up to get them Food and drinks and bring it to them while they are lining up, that way they have Energy while keeping them Busy. But remember, only Light Snacks 'coz most of the RIDES in Six FLAGS are EXTREME! It's a Far Drive from San Diego to here, but if you wanna Screem and have your adrenaline Pumping, then it's worth driving here. Rides that are not open today: 1. X2 2. Riddlers revenge 3. Scream 4. Full throttle 5. Goliath These are 5 of the most popular rides Paid $150 extra per person for fast pass. Of the 10 rides even open there were no fast pass options for 5 rides including tatsu, Wonder Woman, twisted colossus, Batman, crazanity, ((see screenshots) And they make you STILL PAY $20 per person to get on wonder woman wtf. Why did we pay $150 for fast pass if we can't even use it for ANY RIDES?!? So 10 rides were unavailable for fast pass but 6 were (excluding the kids ride that is gold rusher) so I get an abysmal 37.5% (6/16) coverage for rides?! Worse than failing by any measure For wings we paid for mobile order ahead of time and waited 45 mins until the app said the order was ready for pickup. When we tried to pick up the order there was actually another line to pick up the food that others waited an hour for. Not about to wait 2 hours for wings. Sorry. So all in we spent $340 PER PERSON and been at the park for 3 hours to ride on two rides and waited an hour for no wings. Leaving early and never coming back. Worst managed theme park ever. Lost some high value customers six flags! read more

One of my favorite amusement parks is six flags magic mountain. I've been to quite a few around the world, and none of them can compare! By far the largest, with the most rides, and definitely the most fun! In addition, it's in SoCal, so it's usually sunny and warm. A new ride is added to the park every few years to keep it fresh and exciting! I can't wait to check out the new Wonder Woman ride that opened last summer. Make sure you don't go on the rides on an empty stomach or you'll puke your brains out. Bring plenty of water and be well nourished to climb the hilly paths to the rides since it's a big park. If you need a break from the roller coasters, there are also plenty of arcade games to win prizes! When I went there last, the food was just so-so, and there are churro stands everywhere. It's an amazing experience and you're sure to have fun if you love fast, powerful, wild coasters!! read more

*SIX FLAGS COVID MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT* Being loyal customer gets you robbed. I had the platinum pass before COVID and when the park closed they sent out an email asking if we wanted to cancel the plan, OR to continue paying the monthly pass fee. If we continued to pay while the park was closed (which I did) they promised to upgrade the current pass we had, and also said that we would get a free month for every month we had paid in advance. When I finally called to cancel Oct 2022. I let them know this scenario, and they said they would reach out once the cancelation was complete (which never happened). They make it extremely difficult to get a hold of a real person, so I had to reach out through the app. They didn't solve the problem but got me in communication with (Shannon) who wanted to reactive my account as of Oct 2022 when I canceled. I would not care if that was the case if it was done immediately vs when I reach out in MAY 2023. They robbed me of $$ and time. Extremely disappointed!!!!!! I'm sure I'm not the only person this has happened to, because my bf also didn't get anything for the months he continued to pay. Maybe we need to start a class action lawsuit. We had a birthday visit at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Hurricane Harbor water park. My grandson Birthday Party on 8/10/24. We purchased two cabanas as well two birthday package deal. Paid in Advance online. We had 12 Guess. We arrived at Six Flags right when they opened at 10:30 am. Our cabanas were the most disgusting, dirty, unsanitized cabanas. The supervisor Jose of the cabana section help me clean. Jose supply me with Lysol spray and Lysol wipes as well. He went to the gift store picked up the large beach towel so we could cover the couches and the chairs with them in the cabana. As being the grandmother I went right in start cleaning the cabanas. Jose was very helpful. The night crew supervisor in charge of the cleaning of the cabanas definitely needs serious discipline and a serious write-up. We tried to speak to whoever was in charge. Dear Six Flags, You were good to us. Even with the crowdedness and amount of lines everywhere we had a good time. I'm only not giving five stars because the spooks were not all over the park, only in specific areas IN THE BACK and the signal kept going down on wifi AND I was trying to order food online to pick up. A lady at the taco place was super rude and wouldn't communicate that for ten minutes I was standing and waiting on the wrong place for pick up. I managed to figure it out. Maybe she needed to clock out or go on break. I ended up getting the end up the stick though. BUT fright fest was lit, the rides were great as usual. The coke icee with ice cream on top and the carne asada nachos, and the garlic knots were bomb. Honestly, I am buying a monthly flash pass though. Only way to do it. read more
