I'll start with a positive: I never have to go again. Augh, it is such a shame; it could be so good. In summary, the rides at Six Flags are genuinely top-notch, providing thrill-seekers a significant adrenaline rush. However, the overall experience falls massively short due to gross operational inefficiencies. What a tragic place. It's an old complaint of amusement parks: it takes an eternity for everything. Getting in, getting on a ride, getting a sandwich. Now, you might say waits are inevitable. That's true, but the thing with Six Flags (at least when we visited) is that it was completely avoidable. When we visited, there weren't that many people. For example, I was in line for food with about 50 people. That may seem like a lot of people, but at Disney, that would be a snap. They'd attack that line like a well-trained F1 pit crew. They would have a bunch of cashiers and kitchen staff, all working in harmony to get people in and out in a few minutes. At Six Flags, it took well over an hour. It took that long because they are so woefully understaffed and comically uncoordinated. They only had two people working!! Now, you might think it could be an anomaly, and perhaps we just got unlucky; maybe a few people called in sick on the day of our visit. This is unlikely because it was the case at every food vendor all over the park. Plus, you could tell by the staff's look that this was pretty standard operational procedure. They weren't the least bit flustered by the throngs of angry customers. Nope, they'd lived it on the daily. And, of course, after you've endured the line and are thanking your lucky stars for not going viral for tossing your tray in the air and ranting against a backdrop of flying mac and cheese and BBQ tri-tip, the food is absolutely inedible. Like, so so wrong. I mean, mac and cheese that is grey and indistinguishable from the potato and gravy kinda bad. Similarly, wait times for rides are loooooong. Again, it's not about the volume of folks in the standard line. In this instance, it's due to their "flash pass" system that offers different levels of line skipping. As a result, what looks like a relatively short line of regular ticket holders turns into 90-minute plus torturous wait. Again, it's about operational execution. It seems deciding how many regular line folks get in versus the flash pass holders is entirely arbitrary and at the whim of whoever is working the front of the line. It's hard to blame staff members. With three tiers of flash pass holders, it must be hard to keep things straight and far easier to go with whoever is screaming the loudest at the front of the line. So, you may be wondering what warrants the three stars. Well, for thrill seekers, the rides are top-notch, like insane. The kinda good that gives you heart palpitations just watching from the ground as little bodies get flung around in every imaginable way 80 feet up the air. If you like speed, falling, twisting, and turning until your head is spinning and your insides are on the front of your t-shirt, then this is the place for you. However, you need to do yourself a HUGE favor and save up to spring for preferred parking and a platinum flash pass to skip the lines. Also, come with a full stomach and perhaps a sandwich and bag of chips strategically tucked into your underpants. read more

We've been annual pass holders since 2016 Here's the annual pass prices we paid for those years including this years 2022 for a pass that includes Six Flags Magic Mountain, Hurricane Harbor and Free parking: 2016 $76.99 2018 $79.99 - valid Aug 2017 to Dec 2018 2020 $82.99 - valid Aug 2019 to Dec 2021 due to pandemic closures 2022 $69.99 - purchased Aug 2021 valid until Dec 2022 We've enjoyed the park all these years, weve spent most of our visit in the kids area. We also got the annual meal pass, which is now cancelled. I don't think we'll be renewing our pass next year since it has increased at least 3x. We are also Universal Studios Hollywood passholders and noticed that their new pricing is a lot higher than Universal silver and gold pass. Universal is a lot nicer, cleaner with newer facilities that are well maintained. Yesterday we ordered pizza through mobile order, this is the first time we had to wait 30minutes for a pizza. I wish there was a way to cancel the online order, there wasn't because the pick-up time already elapsed since we've been waiting in line for that long. Never again. read more

I've been a customer for six flags many years. Never had any issues with their services and park attractions. I've opened a membership that they had on display for a while back in April of 2021 and since then i've been enrolled into an auto pay until November of last year 2024. i've called their phone number ending in 2700. and even left voicemails to give a call back but still nothing. Not only that i have no transaction reports of the purchase being declined to renew the monthly service and once i get a hold they tell me i ow them money even if i try to cancel the subscription. read more

Overall, it was just not a very good day. They only had one line open for everything; for parking, for entrance.. so it took us like three hours just to get into the park- then all of the good rides were only running one car so for example X2 was a 2 1/2 hour wait- Also, the music on X2 no longer works, which was disappointing . Terrible wait times because the ride attendants would allow large groups from the fast pass to go to the rides, while everyone else waited a ridiculous amount of time. For about every 4 people that waited in the normal line, they allowed about 10+ people from the fast lane. Why do ages 3+ cost the full adult ticket price when half of the kids rides are closed down due to short staffing? When there's only 4 rides for my kids this isn't cost-effective at all. 2. I can't say much about Six Flags, but it was fun! The rides don't get old, and the new upgrades are great. It's good to get there early to be able to get on the rides. I tried to follow the map, going from one way to the other, so I wouldn't waste time going from one side to the other. I got one meal pass with the free refill, so that helped a lot. read more

We went with the family to the park on Sunday when normally they are open 1030 to 6 pm. The park was not that crowded at all and parking was easy. Tickets are $55 which is great but that's where the fun ends. The park is only using 1-2 ride vehicles per main attraction and this causes long delayed lines that barely move. They could use more cars but refused to do so. This will incentivize park goers to buy a $160 flash pass per person or $640 for a family of 4. We waited in X2 line for over 3 hours. It was miserable. All rollercoasters had wait times of 90+ minutes. The ride operators were in no hurry to load or unload people. In one full day, we rode a total of 4 rides and the park closed. The family hated it and will be going to Knotts or Disneyland. Imagine if space mountain only had 2 ride vehicles in use with a fast pass line full of line cutters. That's Magic Mountain. The only good part of this park was full throttle sports bar. Good food and great atmosphere there. Twisted Colossus was a great ride after 95 minutes in line. Our family and the three other families with us on the trip agreed, it was a horrible waste of time and money. We won't be back. read more

Looked on Yelp to see where to eat and almost all of their food places have 2 stars. The highest rated having 3. The park is very dirty, see the pictures (the boats were filthy). My husband and are Ultimate pass members. The membership includes front gate parking. Today we visited the park with our two toddlers. When we entered the park the entrance employee scanned us in and allowed us into the park. When we drove up to the park and attempt to park at the front gate. The parking employees did not allow us park and enforced that reservations are required for preferred parking. We stressed out that we have the ultimate membership pass and we have been told that reservations is not needed. It appeared that the staff member was lacking understanding of what each membership entailed. So we asked to speak to his supervisor. When Samuel the parking supervisor arrived he did not have intentions to understand what concerns we are addressing. He kept enforcing that we can not park at section because it was reserved already. Even though there were vacant spots in that section since we saw people leaving that had made reservations. So we asked them to Accommodate us and make exception for this one time. Again it should not even be a accommodation because we have front gate access as a ultimate pass members. At this point we were so frustrated it was like were speaking to individuals that really could care less. We asked to speak to Samuels supervisor he called the security supervisor Javier . When Javier arrived he also didn't listen to what our concern was and he kept enforcing their policy. When we asked to speak to his supervisor . When Christian arrived he also continue to enforce the same policy. They informed us that the only accommodations that could be made is through guest services and we had to park in the regular parking spot and walk into the park and speak to guest relations. We asked them if they could just contact guest relations themselves since this becoming an issue and they cannot make an accommodation for one parking spot.We have two crying babies in the back seat at this point and we spent 40 mins trying explain our membership access to employee that should be more informed. According to Javier he is not allowed to page guest services and he's not allowed to call them using a cell phone. He could only call them with the landline and because he was in the parking lot he didn't have access to a landline so he stress. Bottom he did want help and they were giving us the run around. We were just dumbfounded we did not understand what is going on it seemed like we were in the twilight zone. My husband and I did not know what to make out of this we were trying to really do our best explain ourselves. All they were doing is backing each other up talking amongst each other. it was literally 7 individuals against two parents with two little toddlers. They were all standing around and enforcing the same policy without really taking the time to listen to what we were saying. it seemed like they didn't want to listen to what we had to say. it was appearing that this was more of discrimination issue. My husband and I are very frustrated and could not believe that we were being tag teamed by parking crew and the security department. We went to guest relations and spoke to Caroline the lead and Elliot the supervisor and informed them what we were dealing with and they said that there was nothing they can do and they heard about us having an issue with the security department because they already contacted them about us. So it appears they have a little gang going on and all they're doing is just backing each other up and no one is doing their actual job and trying to assist the customer. So the security department gave the impression that guess Services is in charge and is only allowed to make such accommodations but come to find out the individual that we were speaking to informed us that the security department Christian and Xavier are also actually in charge of them . so it's interesting to see what's going on. Our overall impression of this experience was that we were dealing with unfortunately racial discrimination because throughout the conversation with the supervisor Samuel he's stressed that if we use any profanity he would kick us out of the park mind you we have two toddlers in the back seat. My husband is an African-American male and it appeared that they were trying to make paint the imagine that he was having a difficult time controlling his temper. We have two little kids and all we wanted to do is spend time with our family. We are frustrated and overwhelmed as this point . How many different ways can some communicate. We want to get what we paid for but stead we wasted 2 hours of our time trying to explain ourselves to people that could care less. read more

Six Flags has officially become a full-on SCAM! Time for a little story... I used to come here every month as a kid with my older cousin and absolutely loved it. Now that I'm older and have a little cousin of my own, I decided to take him for the first time to keep the Six Flags tradition going. Well, today was by far the worst experience I have ever had at Six Flags, let alone any amusement park I've ever been to. From the moment we entered the park, everything seriously seemed to be a scam, and I will explain with examples. Purchased a One-Day Ticket + Unlimited Dining Deal Bundle and low and behold, there is, in fact, a limiting factor. You can only get a meal or snack every 90 minutes. How is that unlimited... fountain drinks are the only thing that is truly unlimited in the bundled add-on. Next up on the list of Scams is the ride photo and video package. X2 was our first ride and there is a picture taken mid-ride. As we were looking at the photos, the gentleman working the booth mentioned the photo and video package that includes photos and videos from every ride for $30 total. He told us every ride has a camera and also takes a short video so $30 was a no-brainer. Well, he straight-up lied to us in order to make a sale and get a commission. Only 5 rides in the entire park have cameras that take photos mid-ride. The videos he mentioned that are taken throughout the ride are actually just the moments before the photo is taken. Basically, a live photo to make sure it doesn't come out blurry. Coming up next, Scam #3. The lockers outside each ride. Advertised as $8 for the entire day that can used at any of the ride lockers. Solid deal considering a 1-time locker use is $1. Well, only 2 locker stations out of the 6 total rides we attempted to go on worked. So you're paying for something that doesn't even work... The next Scam is my personal favorite. Went to grab some Mexican food for lunch at the Food Etc. cafeteria thing next to Goliath and on the menu it says, "Add Guacamole, Fire Roasted Corn, and grilled Jalapeno $4.00 210cal". Okay cool, $4 for Guac, Roasted Corn, and Jalapenos. Asked if I could add that to my salad and she handed it over with just the Jalapenos, no guac or corn. I asked why she didn't put the guac and corn and she said it's $4 for each of the sides... Um hello, your menu says "AND" not "OR" for $4. She still insisted it was $4 for each of the sides... Since I had the dining bundle, it didn't make a difference to me since my meal was already paid for but the fact that they're charging people without the dining bundle $4 for each side is ridiculous and illegal given what the menu says. Scam #5 is coming from the "One-time Flash Pass" available for $8 on some posted signs and starting at $8 on other posted signs around the park. Which one is it... Well once you go online to try and buy it, it's $25 each. This one actually ties into a big issue I noticed when waiting in line for the rides. The staff that are operating the rides are extremely inefficient and it almost seems like they are doing it on purpose to encourage buying a Flash Pass or One-Time Flash Pass. A prime example of this was when waiting for Goliath. Goliath has two separate carts that are supposed to run simultaneously. When one is getting loaded/unloaded, the other should be rolling through the track. Well, I watched both carts sit behind each other for 4 minutes at a time in the passenger loading/unloading bay. Workers just sitting around and not trying to move things along even though the line is 1.5hrs long. The worst part of this whole waiting game is that the park itself was not that busy. When I used to come as a kid, the parking lots would be completely full and the lines for every ride would be filled to the max. That being said, it would never take as long as I waited today. When I went today, the parking lot was maybe half-full throughout the entire day and the lines for the rides were not filled meaning not every lane for waiting was open. Matter of fact, most of them were chained close insinuating there weren't that many people in line and that they didn't need the extra room for the people to queue up. This one proved my point that either the workers are just extremely incompetent, which may be true since they're all just kids, or they're being told by management to slow things down to encourage people to buy flash passes. By the end of the night, I was fed up and had to express my disappointment to the customer service office and that's when everything mentioned above except for the staff purposely slowing down the ride operations was confirmed. Ended up spending an hour in their office while they typed up a long report to send to their corporate office. I also chatted with the only competent staff member I encountered and since she is leaving Six Flags in December, she spilled the beans on everything and how everyone hates working/going there and how they nickel and dime you for everything now. Six Flags Magic Mountain has been my favorite theme park because I'm a rollercoaster fanatic! They once held the record for the most rollercoasters in a single park but I think they've since lost it. It's been a few years but what memories... Your excitement builds as you approach the park and see the numerous tubes of colorful steel rising above the tree line. I could've strangled my accompanying friend as he accidentally brought along a Swiss Army knife in his backpack and he didn't trust leaving it with the security office. I'm like "just throw that ***t away, I wanna go in!" He eventually succumbed. Another thing I love about the park is that it's not filled with little kids like Disneyland. PERSONAL FAVORITES: Revolution - Its claim to fame was its vertical 360-degree loop. Other than that, nothing really special about this ride. It's still in operation with a new name "The New Revolution". Log Jammer - While not as uniquely-themed like the version at Knott's Berry Farm, I still enjoyed it as I love water rides. This ride is long gone. Colossus - An all-wood structure with steel wheels on steel track was the ultimate coaster experience. Noisy and rough-riding with big dips. Dual tracks made for a race-like experience. It has been retrofitted to be a steel coaster and renamed "Twisted Colossus". Ninja - What makes this suspended coaster fun is that the carts sway freely, even whiplash-like when going around bends. Viper - As far as fun-factor, this is the best coaster (IMO) in the park as it's fast with corkscrews and loops. Roaring Rapids - 12 passengers, a big circular raft, rapids and waterfalls. Some got soaking wet! Batman: The Ride - Suspended, floor-less, inverted coaster. Your feet are dangling so it feels like you're in a chair flying through the air. Having no floor screws with your peripherals especially with the numerous upside down moments. Superman: The Escape - Ever went 0-100 mph in seven seconds? Damn, this was insane. A small cart shoots you up a vertical track to meet the caped-crusader at the top. Riddler's Revenge - My first standup coaster experience. Unnerving and so much fun with it's g-forces, banks and loops. Deja Vu - You start by being pulled backwards up a vertical track before being dropped, roaring through the station at full-speed, into some twist and turns, pulled straight up a vertical track again then fall back down. Genius! Scream - The platform drops from under you before the ride takes off. Another floor-less coaster similar to Batman: The Ride. Not the greatest but I did buy a t-shirt, LOL. Goliath - While this beast lacks going upside down, its drop height (255' after ascending), is mind-blowing as you head full force into a tiny covered tunnel at the bottom, making you feel like you're about to be decapitated. The g-forces are mean! X - I was freakin' bummed, disappointed, sad and pissed as this was not operating when we were here. Not sure if it was broken but it was enn-eh. Ugh. Was so looking forward to my 4-dimensional coaster ride. OVERALL: I need to get back to Valencia. I hope my older body can still handle it. Only one way to find out! read more

I always come to the Christmas event and this is my first Halloween event. The costumer service is always superb.
